||WARNING - There's smut coming up below  but it's nothing too dirty\\

I couldn't actually believe this was happening. Derek was in front of me, smashing me between himself and the wall.  I'd thought about this happening before, but in my mind we were home, in a bed. Not that I was complaining, because being anywhere near Derek when he was naked was a good thing.

"Are you okay?" he asked softly, mouthing at my jaw as he held me up with his arms around my waist. If he didn't hold me up, my knees probably would've given out on me. Traitors.

"Perfect," I breathed, digging my fingers into his skin. "Literally couldn't be better." I felt his lips curl into a smile as he kissed my neck gingerly, not at all rushed. He sucked gently, enough to make me want more. "Derek," I mumbled, tugging at his hair and throwing my head back to give him easier access to my neck. "I want to-"

"Okay," he whispered, kissing the skin behind my ear. "Just-" he paused, pulling back to look at me. He looked thoughtful, like he was contemplating what to do, so I just stared back at him, eyes wide, taking in the beautiful man standing inches from me, water rolling down his skin in ways that looked freaking magical. I didn't know how else to explain him. "Come here," he said finally, his hands cradling my face as he kissed me slowly, but in the best way possible. He didn't stop kissing me when his hands fell to my waist and mine wrapped around his neck. He deepened the kiss by tangling his tongue with mine, tracing the features in my mouth, his fingers gently squeezing my hips.

Lips never tearing apart from mine, he wrapped his hand around me, so suddenly that my knees buckled underneath me and Derek's one arm was the only thing keeping me on my feet. Every emotion in me seemed cloudy as he started to work his wrist, stroking me slowly and then sucking my bottom lip into his mouth.  "Shit, that's- wow, I missed you so much," I stammered, arching my hips as he jerked his hand back and forth slowly. I felt like talking too much would ruin this moment, but if I didn't talk, there would be awkward silence.

"I missed you too," he mumbled, pressing his forehead against mine. He sped up his movements, the water falling between us making it smooth and sensual, so there wasn't any painful friction. It felt so amazing, to the point where I couldn't bite back the embarrassing sounds I was making. I couldn't help it that I'd never had a foreign hand near that region of my body before, and it was one thousand times better than myself. The pleasure was enough to make me forget about everything else in the world. Every problem. It didn't matter that I had been upset earlier, before seeing Derek. Now everything was perfect.

I didn't know why I did it, just in the heat of the moment, but I dropped one hand from his neck to wrap around Derek's length, feeling a little more than satisfied with the surprised groan that fell from his swollen lips as he leaned into me. My other hand stayed planted against his broad shoulders, fingers splayed across his skin as I jerked him, even though my arms felt heavy and my knees were shaky.

"Stiles," he moaned breathily, eyes locking with mine as he slipped his hand off of me, placing them both on my ass as he moved his hips closer to mine, and eventually I got the hint and replaced my hands where they were before, locked behind his neck. He affectionately rubbed his nose against mine, making me smile softly and close the gap between our lips. He rolled his hips into mine as he traced his tongue over mine, making us both moan together. One hand slid up into his hair and tugged as he rolled his hips again, getting a steady pace going. My knees were too shaky to meet his thrusts, but he helped with that by pulling my hips forward every time he grinded his against my body. The skin against skin contact, slick with water and sweat, I was practically drowning in pleasure.

"Derek, I'm not sure how much longer I can last," I blurted out, digging my nails into his back as his thrusts got faster, dirtier, and a lot sloppier. "Oh my god," I whimpered, my body tensing as Derek pressed into me again. The room was spinning and this overwhelming sensation took over my body as I came, still clinging to Derek as he finished too, following a few seconds after me.  (This is kinda where the smut ends.)

For almost a full minute, he stayed close to my body, forehead against mine, eyes gently shut. I wasn't complaining, because the water was getting cold, but Derek was warm. But eventually he pushed himself away from me and abruptly shut off the water. "They're back already," he grumbled, pulling back the curtain.

"I'll get another towel," I sighed, stepping out of the shower to take the one towel I had already gotten out. I quickly dried off my arms and stomach, then bent over to dry my legs off. Derek made a small noise at that, so I turned around to raise an eyebrow at him. He was staring at the ceiling, head back against the shower wall as his cheeks turned red. "Sorry," I teased, smirking a little. I wrapped the cloth around my waist and found Derek a second one as he stepped out of the bathtub and stopped in front of me.

"Thanks," he mumbled as I started to dab at his chest, careful not to hurt him and his slow healing wounds.

"You know, eventually, we're going to have to talk about some things. Important things, like the reason you left me for a month, and what the hell happened to you," I said, gesturing to his chest with my hand. My gaze left his eyes as I threw the towel over his head and dried it the best I could. Derek grabbed both my wrists, pulling them away from his face, all while frowning. "Don't give me that look, Derek. You knew we'd have to talk about it." I wrapped the towel around his waist, then pulled him against me, chest to chest. He slid his arms around my neck, pulling me into a hug, even though we were both still wet.

"We will talk," Derek promised. "But not right now. After Cora leaves. She'll be gone soon. She's just waiting until I heal all the way." He sighed softly, nudging my cheek with his nose. "Do me a favor and ask one of them to bring us some clothes?"

"Why me?" I demanded, stepping away from him. He grinned and shrugged his shoulders. "You're mean," I mumbled, padding over to the bathroom door. I opened it a little, sticking my head out. Cora was sitting on the bed, ankles crossed as she read a book. Lydia and Kara were on the other bed, both busy doing something, and who knew where Charlie was. Probably outside, away from all the girls. "Could one of you amazing ladies bring me that bag over there?" I asked hopefully.

Cora looked up at me, then at the bag of clothes on the floor. "You mean Derek's bag?" she wondered, raising an eyebrow as she stared back at me, amusement flooding over her face. "Gross," she added, dragging herself off the mattress and picking up the bag. She threw it over to me and shook her head. "Tell him not to rip his stitches."

"He didn't rip his stitches," I shot back, and Cora glared. "Thanks, Cora!" I squeaked, closing the door and locking it before she could lunge at me. Derek was shaking his head with silent laughter when I faced him again and threw the bag on the ground. "Seriously, you're the worst, Derek. And I'm stealing your clothes because my bag is in the jeep and I'm not going out there in a towel." I could've put my clothes from earlier back on, but they were sort of wet and that would've been uncomfortable.

"Alright," Derek replied, eyes staying locked with mine. "So could you help me-"

"Oh yeah," I mumbled, tightening the towel around my waist as I crouched to the floor to open up his bag. I took out two of everything, feeling only a little weird that I would be wearing my boyfriend's underwear soon. Well not my boyfriend, but he was like my boyfriend. We never actually labeled it. "This isn't awkward now, is it?" I asked quietly as he stepped into his briefs and I slowly pulled them up to his hips, meeting his eyes again. My hands slid around to the small of his back, his arms wrapping around my shoulders.

"Do you think it's awkward now?" he replied, partially raising an eyebrow.

I shrugged a little. "It feels like there's something wrong, but I'm happy to be here with you. I don't want to go anywhere. I just want things between us to be like they were before you left. That's why I came here. I wanted to see you. I wanted to make sure you were safe, because I still love you, and I always will, even if you don't feel the same."

"Stiles, I'll always feel the same," Derek promised, his thumb lightly tracing my lips, following the curl of my smile. He mirrored my smile before pressing a kiss to my forehead and then stepping back. "Now help me into my pants, and then we'll talk," he said with a grin.

"Yes sir," I replied with an eyeroll, but still picked his pants up off the ground and helped him into them before busying myself with getting Derek's clothes on my own body while he struggled to put on a shirt. "You don't have to wear that," I suggested, pulling one of his long sleeve shirts over my head. Derek looked at me suspiciously for a few seconds before shrugging and dropping his shirt back into his bag. He walked over to where I was standing close to the door and linked his fingers with mine.

"I missed you, Stiles. I really am glad you're here." He carefully kissed my lips, then opened the bathroom door and ushered me out.

Kara was the only one in the room, and she was muttering something under her breath over this small bowl. Derek and I stood in the doorway of the bathroom, waiting for her to finish whatever she was doing, mostly because we were curious. Finally, she stopped talking and looked up to meet our eyes. "I made you this," she said, holding the bowl out towards us. "When I was little, my mom made this to heal me when I scraped my knee, or whatever. It healed me overnight, so it should work fast for Derek."

"Thank you, Kara," Derek said softly, stepping closer to take the bowl from her hands. She smiled. "It's nice to see you again," he added as she scooted herself off the bed.

"You too," she replied sincerely. "I've got to catch up with Lydia. She's going to get us a room for the night. Charlie has his own room as well, so I'll talk to you both in the morning. You've got a lot to talk about." She started to walk out the door and then paused with one foot in the hallway, eyes locked on mine as she smirked. "Have fun rubbing that salve all over your boyfriend's chest, and I was supposed to remind you to not let Derek rip his stitches." She waved quickly and shut the door behind her, leaving just the two of us.

Derek shoved the small bowl into my hands and started towards the bed. "You heard her, Stiles. Start rubbing me down," he teased. I just rolled my eyes and followed after him. He fell to the mattress, tucking his arms behind his head as I crawled across the bed to get to him. Once I was at his side, he grabbed my hips gently, tugging me towards him until I was sitting on his lap, straddling him.

"Can we talk now?" I asked quietly, tearing my eyes from his to dip my fingers in the sticky substance that smelled odd, but not terrible. Kara better have been right about this stuff, because it looked gross. I rubbed it between my fingers, because it felt a little cold, and then applied the salve to one of his wounds. He winced a little, but then relaxed. "Sorry if it hurts."

Derek shook his head and let his eyes close softly, blowing out a deep breath. "We can talk. What do you want to know?" He looked up at me now, his thumbs brushing across my hips where he slipped his hands past my shirt.

I thought about this as I rubbed more of the salve across his chest, not too hard since the wounds were still sensitive. "Can you tell me why you left? The exact reason. Why did those people need you?" He moved his hands up my sides, warms and comforting. I liked it when he touched me, like this, in simple ways. I missed his hands, his smile. I missed him.

"That's a hard question to answer. They needed me to fight for them, on their side. There's, uh, this thing going on right now, between the humans and supernatural creatures. I guess some of them don't want to live with humans anymore. They've been killing people. So Elise, that's her name, she wanted me to fight on her side and help her recruit others." Derek talked quietly, pausing a few times when I put more of the lotion on his skin and it made him wince.

"A war?" I asked, watching his face as he sucked his bottom lip into his mouth and squeezed his eyes shut. He nodded slowly to answer my question. "And they probably threatened to hurt me, or something if you didn't help, right?" He nodded again, this time with a sad look on his face that made me want to kiss him. I sighed softly, applying the medicine to his last wound, watching Derek's eyes fill with tears, but he wasn't crying. "Why-" I paused, taking a deep breath. "Why now? Why ask me to come now?"

Derek nudged me off of his lap so that we could lay face to face, his arm pulling me close, but not letting me touch his chest, since it was still covered in sticky lotion. "I didn't ask you. Cora did. I got angry with her too, because right now, especially now, this war is dangerous. But you're here now, and I'm glad she sent you that text." Derek paused, waiting to see if I had anything to say, but I didn't, so he went on. "For the past month, I've been fighting and recruiting others to help, and almost died a few times. But it was never too much to handle with the right help. Not until a week ago. There was something wrong. Our people would go out on a mission and they wouldn't return. Even our leader, Elise, was taken. It was getting bad. So when we found out why our people were disappearing, we had to find out how to defeat it. It's this creature. We think someone may have created it, and it's impossible to fight. This is what happens when you fight it," he said, gesturing to his chest. "It's venom makes the pain excruciating, and it doesn't go away for a few hours. That's when Cora texted you earlier. When the venom was still in me. She wanted someone here to help me, to watch over me."

"And she thought that person could be me? Did she even know about us?" I replied softly, tracing the skin on his back with my fingertips. Derek scooted closer, so he could wrap his arms around me even tighter.

"No, but you were the one person in my contacts list that she thought could help. She has a soft spot for you," Derek said with a small smile, slightly shaking his head. "I can't blame her."

I rolled my eyes and sighed, running my thumb across his bottom lip. "I guess that's about all I wanted to talk about. I hope you know that I'm here, and I'm not going anywhere, even if you tell me to. I'm not letting you leave again."

Derek nodded and cupped my cheek with his hand, pulling himself closer to kiss my forehead. "I don't want to lose you again. I won't-" Derek stopped, sighing heavily when there was knocking at the door. "Hold on, it's probably just Cora," he sighed, dragging himself off the bed with a small grunt. I sat up nervously, because there was this small part of me that didn't think it was Cora.

"Derek. . ." I said slowly, starting to inch out of the bed, but he was already opening the door. It wasn't Cora. It was the same woman who had been waiting in the motel a month before, the one who took Derek out of my life. The woman Derek said had been missing.

"Elise, you're alive?" Derek asked in disbelief, eyes wide. The woman looked terrible. Her hair was matted with blood, and her clothes torn to pieces. She didn't look like she was in any shape to be out walking around. "How did you find me?"

Elise didn't answer. She was going to. I watched her open her mouth, but before a word came out, she was falling to the ground, and Derek barely caught her. He dragged her to the bed and laid her down, eyebrows furrowed in concern. "Is she okay?" I asked, and Derek shook his head. "What's wrong with her?"

Derek ran a hand through his hair, shaking his head as he stared down at her limp body. "Human's can't take the venom of that creature. She'll be dead in an hour."
