I was feeling significantly better after my randezvous with Damon a few nights ago.

I had also done some research and found out that every three months for the past five years someone who was doing perfectly fine killed themselves.

I talked to Cassidy and she said that it was supposed to be her but since she killed herself and turned she didn't know what would happen.

As soon as I solve this, I'm going home. I'm ready. Finally.

It took time and a witch therapist who has no idea I'm a vampire but the voice hasn't come back since I first arrived.

"Hey," I greeted as I entered the office of Doctor Sanchez. She sat at her desk taking notes on something.

"Hello, Evelyn," she greeted closing her book and looking up at me with a smile, "We aren't supposed to meet for another hour.

I closed the door and took a seat in front of her desk, "This is a personal matter regarding Cassidy and your beloved nurse Jared."

Her smile dropped for a brief second but she quickly recovered, "I have no idea what you are talking about."

She stood up quickly but I was easily in front of her. Her eyes widened, "You...you're?"

"Caught me witch," I shrugged as she backed up and I rolled my eyes. "You're in kahoots with an evil vampire, trust me when I say I am the least of your worries."

"I can't help you."

"But you can," I assured her, "I'm sure you have some way of preventing unwanted listeners?"

After a few minutes she had finally set up what smelled like a sage of sorts.

"I'm trusting that you actually did this correctly because I don't like being lied to."

"It's done correctly but he'll know. He always knows."

"That's my goal."

"Are you insane?"

I narrowed my eyes, "Isn't it poor stature to say that to a patient in a psych-ward?"

"What do you want?"

"I need exactly two things from you: for one, send this to Damon Salvatore," I said before handing her a paper and a cloth on top, "That belongs to him."

"You know a Salvatore?" she asked in surprise.

"I know both," I corrected.

"There together again?"

"Enough questions," I brushed off, "Just get it done."

"What's the second thing?"

I raised an eyebrow but answered anyway, "Tell Jared I was asking questions."

"He'll hurt you."

"I'm aware," I nodded, standing up. "And trust me when I say you are going to want to do this because my assumption is that you are aware of the Salvatore reputation and they will stop at nothing to get revenge when needed."

She nodded quickly, fear so evident in her eyes I almost felt bad. Almost.

-

"Spencer!" I shouted when I saw him down the hall.

He looked my way for a moment but turned away quickly. He had been avoiding me for some time.

"Spencer, wait up!" No, I'm not oblivious to that fact, I do need to talk to him though.

He stopped walking and faced me, saying nothing.

"I'm leaving. I'm going home," I plastered on a smile, knowing fully well who was watching.

He forced a smile, "That's great, you've come a long way."

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah," he answered quickly, looking frantically around, "Why would you ask that?"

"Well you've been distant lately and I just wanted to make sure you were okay," I responded before handing him a paper, "For when I leave. Call me."

I smiled and walked away, down the hallway I knew he had walked down when I was pulled into a room.

"Who are you?" Jared shouted angrily.

"Someone's not too happy."

He slammed me against the wall, "Answer me."

I couldn't help but smirk slightly, my vision blurring from the hit. I had a small amount of blood today. I began to feel woozy before losing consciousness.

-

"Vervain," I mumbled when I came to, "Weak move."

He immediately slapped me across the face.

I spat blood out onto the floor before looking at him, "It's in poor manners to hit a girl."

"How did you know about me?" he shouted in anger, "And what did you tell them?"

"Tell who?" I laughed slightly, "God you're paranoid."

"I know you talked to the witch. She may have used a spell but I have my ways. Who else did you talk to?"

"No one."

"As soon as I figure out who knows, they're dead, you right along with them."

“I’m sorry man,” I shook my head with a laugh, “I’m sorry I messed with your system and screwed you over but news flash: I don’t give a shit about you. So you can bitch about how angry you are and how you will get your revenge but so will I.”

“How do you suppose you’ll get revenge when you're dead?” he asked, a maniacal look clear on his face.

“I have my ways.”

He narrowed his eyes before picking up a cloth with gloves on and tying it around my mouth.

I couldn't help but shout in pain as the vervain touched my skin. With each breath I took, more vervain entered my system.

"I'll be back."

-

"Evelyn?" Cassidy's voice rang in my ears and I looked up.

"Hey Cas," I couldn't but grin as I continued, "How'd you get in here?"

"I have my ways, did he do this?" she questioned as she stepped closer.

"You should get out of here before he comes back."

"Let me get you out first."

"No, no," I shook my head, "I have a plan."

"Evie…" she began when noises could be heard from the door.

"Go!" I whisper shouted, "I'll see you in our room later."

She looked wary before she inevitably bolted.

"Spencer?" I asked as both him and Jared entered the room.

"Evelyn? What are yo-" he began but was cut off by Jared.

"Shut it!" he practically growled, shoving him into a pile of bags of shredded paper.

"Leave him alone," I stated but that didn't seem to fly.

Jared ran over with ease and lifted me up by my neck, chair and all, "You want me to kill you here and now?"

"I know something you don't know…" I teased as his grip tightened around my throat.

"Yeah," he said, squeezing tighter, "And what's that?"

"That it's not my time to die," I smirked to the best of my ability as a wooden stake was shot into his chest, "It's yours."

Another one was shot into his chest and he dropped me to the floor.

“Oh thank god,” I praised from where I was on the floor. “For a second there I thought you guys weren’t going to show up.”

“We’ll always show up,” Stefan nodded as Damon walked over to untie me from the chair.

“And don’t you ever doubt it,” Damon smirked, a smile hidden beneath it. As soon as my arms were free I pulled him into a tight hug.

“Does Elena know you’re here?” I asked.

“She does,” Elena answered, entering the room.

“Hey El,” I greeted with a guilty grin.

“I thought the point of you coming here was to get away from this,” Elena accused.

“What can I say?" I shrugged, "Trouble follows me wherever I go."

Damon helped me stand up and I stumbled slightly, "Are you alright?"

"Yeah, yeah," I nodded, "Just a little dizzy. I need blood."

"Let's get out of here."

"Wait, I have to go to my room first, and then we can go."

"What could possibly be worth it?"

"It's not a what, it's a who," I corrected, "Plus I have blood in there."

The three of them looked at me confused.

I faced Damon, "Remember the friend I told you about?"

He nodded before I continued, "I guess you get to meet her after all."
