Group Structure: There is some sort of hierarchy in Safe Homes regarding leadership. Laura, who is in charge of both Safe Homes and PFLAG is on top of the hierarchy. Then underneath Laura are the councilors, Mike and Becky, who the youth can go to when they are struggling with something. Next on the hierarchy, beneath the councilors, there are adult advisors that volunteer their time at Safe Homes. Beneath them are the peer leaders that get paid, and help to plan activities for each week. Lastly, are the people that come in for support and to socialize with their friends.
