Chapter number, what, four that's based off a Shakespeare quote? Lol I'm on a roll.
As you walked through the small oblivious town that you currently called home, you took a second to actually enjoy some of the good features about it. Autumn had begun a few weeks prior. Trees were dotted in reds, yellows, browns, and oranges. The crisp fall air danced through their branches and allowed the leaves to float through the air. Satisfying crunch sounded emitted from beneath your favorite pair of shoes as you stepped on the leaves that lingered on the sidewalk. Today might be a peaceful day, for the first time in forever.
Yeah, no. Things got hectic the moment you sat down in your desk. Since the original demon-I mean teacher- was literally obliterated by you and Zim, you've had random subs to fill in. Most of them just slept the time away.
Today, instead of a lazy teacher, you got someone else. Someone who made the small hairs on your arms and neck stand up. The one and only Ms. Bitters had returned.
"What the-" You and Dib began saying at the same time.
Zim frowned and muttered what sounded like curses in an alien language. How is she back already? Sure, monsters reincarnate or whatever, but never this fast.
"Silence!" Her shrill voice called out. "My vacation is over and we're ready to start class again. Today, we will discuss the horrible demise that fell upon three students when they tried to kill their teacher." Her beady eyes connected with yours.
You shrank back into your seat. You didn't dare say a word for the whole period. Dib and Zim seemed to have the same idea. The two didn't even go back and forth arguing about Zim being an alien like they usually do. You stared at the clock, attempting to block out Ms. Bitters' painfully descriptive discussion about various ways to tie someone up in their own intestines.
The moment the bell rang, you grabbed your bag and sprinted to the next classroom. Whoever said high school would be the best four years of your life lied. Your rapidly beating heart said otherwise.
You just had to last the rest of the day. Then fall break would start and you'd have a week to breathe.
When lunch came around, Zim reminded you that you wouldn't get that breather. Life sucks.
Your boyfriend grabbed your hand and whispered loud enough for only you to hear. "We leave tomorrow. The Resisty have notified Zim on the Tallests location. It matches perfectly with Zim's estimation."
You sighed and nodded. He practically dragged you to your usual seat in the cafeteria. He noticed your exhausted disposition. "Is y/n okay? Do(es) he/she/they require more of the cuddling?"
You laughed softly and rested your head on his shoulder. "I wouldn't mind that. It's just been a long day, Zimmy-boy."
You knew the nickname made him blush. He hated it when you called him that in public because "no Invader should be given a pet name." You, of course, remind him that he isn't an Irken Invader anymore.
He coughed awkwardly. "Yes, the Earth day does feel longer than the usual twenty-four hours. It must be that hideous Bitters-beast changing the time. How many times do we kill her before she stays dead?"
Before you could reply, Dib ran over to your table. He slammed his tray down in excitement. Gaz growled at her brother's eagerness and sat beside him. The large headed boy bounced in his seat. "The repairs to Tak's ship that we've been working on just finished. Perfect timing, right?"
Zim hummed in agreement. "The Dib and his sibling unit should have the ship ready by eight tomorrow night. Zim and y/n will meet you at your base." He paused before adding. "It will take close to a week's worth of travel to reach the Armada. You all will need space suits."
You perked up at this. Sitting up straight, you entered the conversation. "We get space suits? Heck yes! Can mine be (favorite color)?"
Zim grinned at your excitement and (somewhat awkwardly) wrapped an arm around your shoulder. "Zim has already created the suits. I knew you would want (favorite color)." You hugged him excitedly. "The Dib has a black suit and Gaz has purple. This pleases the Earthlings, yes?"
Gaz grunted in approval. Dib, however, was focused on something else. "Hey, how come you can say Y/n and Gaz's names right, but you still call me 'The Dib' or 'Dib-Stink' or 'Dib-Beast' or-"
Zim waved his free hand dismissively. "That is simply because I am afraid of them. You are not intimidating."
Dib rolled his eyes, but said nothing. He could agree with Zim on you and Gaz being scary. After seeing your skills against Ms Bitters and knowing how evil his sister could be, he couldn't pretend he wasn't a little fearful of you. He was terrified of Gaz.

When the long school day finally ended, you took what felt like the longest nap of your life. You were wakened by tapping at your window. Rubbing the sleep out of your eyes, you lifted your window to talk to Zim.
"Yes?" You ask groggily.
"Now is it not the time for sleeping!" He said louder than you wished he had. "Zim and y/n have a secret mission!"
You groaned and folded your arms. "Can't GIR go? He's your sidekick."
A gleeful 'hi' sounded from behind Zim, letting you know GIR was, in fact, already there. That was when you noticed that Zim was in his Voot Cruiser. The sleepiness you had previously felt was gone. You ran to your closet to grab your shoes.
"Okay, I'm in. Let's go!" You wiggled out of your window. Zim caught you in the space ship before closing the hatch. "Where are we going?"
Zim shrugged. "What planet would you like to see? The Voot Runner is capable of traveling through solar systems in a few minutes."
"Um, how about Mars?" You suggested.
Zim laughed awkwardly. "Uh, choose a different planet. Mars is no longer in your solar system."
"What?!" You question. "What happened to it and why hasn't anyone noticed?"
"Heh, a while ago Zim and the Dib-stink piloted Mars and Mercury. Turns out both planets were turned into these war-like machines. Zim drove Mars through the asteroid belt to prove he was the better pilot."
You blinked. "So, Mercury is gone too?"
Zim shook is head. "No, the Dib put the planet back. I replaced Mars with a collection of asteroids I crushed into a giant ball of rock. Zim is the reason why scientists think there might have been water on Mars."
You didn't even ask him what that last part was supposed to mean. So much has happened to this planet and no one even knew about it. How did you miss not one, but two planets flying around Earth?
You decided to change the subject. "So, what's this mission you told me about?"
Zim smirked and put the ship on autopilot. "Zim is taking y/n on what the humans call a date. That is a thing boyfriends do correct?"
You nodded in agreement. "Then, let's travel around space. I want this to be an Aladdin and Jasmine carpet ride-like moment."
His antennae raised his confusion. Before he could ask, you promised to introduce him to Disney movies if you survived the next week of action. GIR screeched in excitement.

Meanwhile, a few galaxies away, the Tallests giggled amongst themselves. Purple munched on a bag of desserts as he friend hunched over in a fit of laughter. The working Irken pilots watched their leaders nervously. Whenever the Tallests got in a good mood like this, they were known to shoot Irkens out of the cannons for fun.
"Red, I can't wait to finally destroy Zim." Purple exclaimed in between munches.
The said leader suppressed his laughter long enough to respond. "I know. I've been dreaming of this day since we were smeets! Does he actually think a couple of Earthlings can beat the Armada?"
Purple pointed to one of the servants that provided snacks. "You, say something to make us laugh more at Zim's expense."
The smaller alien's eyes darted between his two leaders. He stuttered before finally saying, "My Tallests, what fools these Earthlings be to think Zim could ever defeat you. You are... uh... too strong?" He said in a way that sounded more like a question.
Purple and Red shoved each other around as their laughter boomed off of the walls of the giant ship. Red grinned. "I like you. Someone launch him out of the cannons at Zim when we get there."
"What?" The servant cried out. Two larger, but still shorter than the leaders, guards grabbed him by his tiny arms and dragged him away to a holding cell.
Red rested his elbow on his best friend's shoulder. "Ah, this is going to be a fun next couple of days."
