A/N: (F/C) means Fav. Color.
(Y/N) grumbled slightly as her text and call was ignored for the umpteenth time. Currently, she was in her gaming/recording room since this was where her PC was. It took a long while, but she eventually was able to build herself beefy PC for what she does.
(Y/N) is a gamer. A rather known one at that. Everyone in the gaming community knows her under the name of "TheMysteriousAngel." She even got a YouTube channel to upload random compilations of her kills in games or successful runs of play-throughs. She never spoke. Not in a lobby, nor as commentary for gaming. She was a mystery to everyone. Her current channel has only a hundred thousand subscribers, but she didn't quite care about the number.
She tossed her phone to the couch nearby, rubbing her temples a bit. "Might as well take a wild guess," she mumbled, sitting up. She clicked on the search bar and started to think. Come on. You know Lukas better than anybody. What in the world could his username be? After a few moments of deep thought, she typed. After looking at all the options before her, she clicked on the one that most likely seemed like him. She hit call, hoping her would hear that. He was always at his computer, so it was worth a shot. After a few rings, someone answered.
"Hello? Lukas?" she asked, hopeful. "Well. My name is Luke and I have an ass. Does that count?" the voice on the other end questioned. "Oops! Sorry! I didn't mean to disturb you," she said. "It's fine. I wasn't doing much anyway," he laughed. She chuckled with him, though she sounded exhausted. "I guess I should, go," she said. "You don't need to. You could keep talking to me while you look for this Lukas," he replied. "Are you sure? I don't want to distract you," she replied, a bit nervous. "I could use the company. Most of my friends are asleep anyway," he said. "Then I guess I should introduce myself," she said, smiling, "Call me (Y/N)."
"Nice to meet you (Y/N). As I said before, I'm Luke." It what should have been a possible quick call turned into a two hour one. She was actually enjoying talking with this stranger. Her attention then turned to her phone as it chimed. "Oh! He replied!" she said, grabbing the phone and looking at the message. "Did he finally get his bitch ass up?" he asked with a chuckle. "It would appear," she trailed off as she read the message, "That he was actually out on a date. He won't be home for a few hours. I at least got his skype name now." She was quick to type it in and send the friend request. "Glad that problem is solved," she chuckled. "Does that now mean you have to leave?" he asked. He sounded a bit, disappointed.
"Well. I need to kill time somehow," she chuckled, "I guess I could play games," she mumbled. "You game?" he asked, excited. "Yeah. It's fun!" she replied with a large grin. "Whatcha got? I wanna play a game with you now!" he said. She was very hesitant to give out her name. If he was active in the gaming community, he'd go crazy if he found out who she was. "Well, I'm pretty bad. So I prefer playing on my own," she lied. "Come on. Just one game," he pleaded. She thought for a moment, trying to find a way to compromise. "Hang on. I think, I think I have GTA V," she said, looking through her games. "PlayStation or Xbox?" he asked. She held in her grumble. Every platform she has for gaming, her name is the same. "Shit. I lent it to a friend," she lied, hoping he would buy it, "I guess I could play COD."
She turned on her Xbox and loaded the game. "That sounds like a plan. Might join you on that," he said, turning on his console. "I'm just going to play online matches. Maybe we could run into each other," she chuckled. "Ooo! It'll be like a guessing game!" he laughed. She laughed with him as she loaded into a lobby. The immediate reactions were always priceless. "Oh my god! It's Angel!" was the normal response. She smiled as she played a few rounds before backing out and joining a new session.
"Holy shit! I need to record this!" Luke suddenly said. "What happened?" (Y/N) asked, raising an eyebrow. "I'm in a session with TheMysteriousAngel! This is crazy!" he said. "Really?!" she asked, looking at all of the other names to find him. "Hang on," he said. After a few moments of silence, a picture was sent through the skype chat. She looked at it to find that she was indeed in the same lobby as him. "Holy shit," she mumbled. "This is incredible!" he laughed. (Y/N) swallowed slightly as she looked back at the screen. They then played a few rounds, the two of them chatting or screaming at the screen.
"God damn! They really are a beast!" Luke commented as the scores came up. "So I've heard," (Y/N) chuckled. They continued this for a few hours until (Y/N) received a message. "Oh. My friend is finally home. He wants to do a call," she said, disconnecting from the game. "Damn. Did we even run into each other?" he asked. "I don't know," she lied. "Oh well. It was fun to run into TheMysteriousAngel. Hopefully I get a chance to see them in action more," he said. "I think, they have a channel," she said, trying to not give herself away. "Really?! Oh shit! Maybe I can finally hear their voice," he laughed. "Maybe," she chuckled. "Keep my skype. I like talking to you," he said. "Thanks. I like talking to you too," she said, smiling, "I'll see you around."
After quick goodbyes, they ended the call. Five hours?! Damn. She chuckled to herself as she shook her head. She then waited for her friend to call her, a large grin on her face. She answered it, and was immediately met with his face in the camera. "Back up there," she laughed. "(N/N)! Finally!" her friend laughed. "Hey there, Bubbles," she chuckled, turning her camera on. "What's going on?" he asked, leaning back in his chair. "Well, I was trying to hunt for you on Skype, but found a stranger. Ended up having a 5 hour call," she said, looking to her other monitor at her YouTube channel. "Wow. Did you have fun?" he laughed. "Played a bit of COD. Turns out, that stranger is a fan of TheMysteriousAngel," she commented. "Every gamer is a fan of you," he replied with a smirk. She just chuckled.
"What were they like?" he asked. "Well, it was a guy. They were funny, and they curse a lot," she chuckled. "Sounds like a dream boat," he laughed. "They have a channel," she added. "Really? What is it? I wanna stalk them," he said. She just laughed at her friend as she went back through messages to find the link Luke gave her. "The name was," she trailed off as the link loaded, "Cartoonz." He sudden gasp caught her attention. "What?" she asked. "The Cartoonz?!" he asked. "I, guess?" she replied, raising an eyebrow.
She then sat there as he started to ramble on and on about how Luke and his channel. Then it went to the various people that he plays with. (Y/N) started to random scroll through her different social medias, responding to a couple of things. "(Y/N)!" She jumped slightly as she looked to the screen. "What?" she asked. "Are you going to try and collab with him?" he asked, a wide grin on his face. "I, don't know," she replied. "Come on! Your channel will grow faster!" he said. "Here. How about this?" she suggested, facing the camera completely, "If I reach one million subs, then I will release a video of my voice and see if people want to collab with me then. Alright?"
He was silent for a bit, then nodded. "Deal!" he cheered. She just chuckled as she went back to scrolling on social media. "What time is it there?" he asked. "Close to 10. I should probably go soon. Meeting up with Dad and Uncle Warren at the gym to train and work out for the day," she said. "Cool, cool," he commented, looking off somewhere. She paused, then looked to him. He then looked to her, a sad look on his face. "I just need to ask, but, is there anything new?" he asked, almost in a whisper. (Y/N) let out a shaky sigh as she stood. She pulled her shirt up slightly to show the bruise forming on her right side. She heard him hiss, making her cringe.
"Why don't you? I mean," he couldn't finish his sentences. She said nothing. Silence filled the call. After about five minutes, (Y/N) let out a heavy sigh. "I gotta go. Need my rest," she said. "(Y/N). Please. Figure something out about that," he said. "I will. Don't worry," she said, a tired smile on her face. After saying their goodbyes, (Y/N) disconnected and started to turn everything off. She then stood from her desk and walked to her bedroom, making sure her phone was on the charger. After changing into pajamas for the night, she climbed into the large bed. It was a matter of seconds before she fell asleep.
Upon waking up the next morning, she was greeted to sun on her eyes. This was on purpose. It was so she knew that she had to get up. After sluggishly going about her normal morning business, she got dressed for the gyms. A black sports bra, a large hoodie, and a pair of (F/C) sweatpants. She then grabbed her gym bag, phone, and car keys. As she made her way to the gym, her mind wandered.
Could I really reach 1 million? Is it possible? But, what would Luke say when he found out it was me? Would he get angry that I didn't tell him sooner? Or would he be upset?
She quickly shook her head as she arrived at the gym. She needed to focus on her workout. After getting out and greeting her father and uncle, she went and did her own routine. Despite the pain, she was about to power through it all. It wasn't until 3 in the afternoon that they were done for the day and she made her way home. After a quick shower, she sat down at her computer and turned it on. She then turned on her Xbox and started to roam in GTA V. It was maybe a few moments later that she got a message. It, was from Luke.
Hey! I'm in a call with a few friends. Want to join?
She blinked a few times, going into deep thought. She's all for meeting new people and talking with them. What she was afraid of, was them asking if she could play games. She took in a shaky breath as she reached for the keyboard. She very hesitantly typed a response, saying that she was okay with it. She watched her computer screen carefully, waiting for skype to ring. When it did, she slowly clicked the answer button.
