"Hey you feeling okay?" Lumine came up from behind you. Everyone was inside drinking and having the night of their life since it was the first time in a while of seeing each other but you were over here being a stick in the mud and you hated yourself for it.

"Yep I'm okay sorry to ruin the mood you can go back inside Lumine," you assured giving her a soft smile but she saw right through it shaking her hand and crossing her arms.

"Don't lie."

"You know me too well Lu," you chuckled. "It's just a lot going on and I'm starting to feel like Xiao and I won't last at all" you admitted.

"Are you serious? I never believed in love until I saw the way xiao and you looked at each other but I understand since It's long distance," she comforted.

"Hey you guys okay?" Hu tao came outside to find you two having a talk at the front door in the cold hallway.

"Is this about xiao?" she furrowed her eyebrows.

"I'm also starting to miss everyone it's like we were all inseparable teenage kids living life and then life came crashing down. The time of our life we're having now we used to have so easily everyday it just saddens me."

Growing up hurts.

"No matter how far a part we all are you know we'll never leave right? The same with xiao, he might be far because of his job but that man loves you like no other."

"Bring it in girl," Lumine gave you a warm smile putting her arms out. You stared at the two girls with tears slowly forming forever grateful to have such beautiful kind hearted friends.

"Thank you guys I love you" you laughed hugging the two girls. They both hugged you back rubbing your back to ease you up more.

Hu tao and Lumine both looked to the side making eye contact like they had some sort of plan. When they figured out they were on the same page they nodded before you pulled away wiping your eyes.

"Let's go back inside now and have fun!"

"You head on first Y/n we're gonna do something really quick," Lumine gave you a nod letting you head in first. You were confused as to why they were choosing to stay outside but shrugged it off and did as she said.

"Are you ready?" Hu tao crossed her arms leaning against the wall with a smile. Lumine scoffed turning around to face the end of the hallway.

"Yeah I want to be with her forever."

The next morning arrived in an eye's blink everyone was either passed out on the floor or the couch after over drinking and partying almost the whole night.

"Y/n? Wake up" Venti aggressively shook you making you yell at him to stop as you were experiencing a hangover and it was hurting you badly.

"Where is everybody?" you groaned sitting up opening your eyes to find the room completely empty but cleaned and the short energetic boy sitting in front of you.

"Everyone's getting ready! You didn't forget we're going somewhere later as a celebration of reunion right?" He squinted his eyes examining you to make sure you were in good health.

"What??— Yeah! Of course I didn't forget stupid I'm just asking where did everyone else head off to?"

"Uhh they're doing something! Busy preparing and stuff. The girls told me to tell you they left some stuff on your bed for you and to go do what it says," Venti stood up to go grab a drink from your fridge.

"Everyone left but your hungryass stayed?" You stared at him chug the whole energy drink that was in your fridge.

"Hey! I was thirsty"

You sarcastically rolled your eyes gaining the energy to stand up and drag your feet to your room. You found hangover pills, a note, and a beautiful outfit laid out all for you with flowers on the side.

"Did Lumine and Hu tao tell them I was feeling bad last night? This is so sweet," you cried to yourself picking up the note on the bed with the writing

It was your favorite flowers and a gorgeous outfit on the side. It was your dream outfit for the most special occasion you could ever imagine and you didn't think anything about it.

"Here comes our girl!" Your friends spotted you through the crowd. "You look amazing," Yanfei complimented fixing your hair that got messy from the humidity.

"The lantern rite event is always so pretty," you stared in awe at how beautiful it all came together. "Right? Ningguang is so talented and smart," Lumine agreed.

"Even though I'm still better at you than every game you've ever played I agree you look stunning Y/n," Childe smiled at you.

You didn't know what the special occasion was but you felt so loved and surrounded by people you forever wanted to be with. You couldn't help but sigh in relief glad you had dolled up because you felt so confident.

There was just one thing missing though, him.

"I wish xiao could have made it this is basically his home and favorite event," you frowned knowing it was a tradition to always go up on the nearby cliff with the best view and watch everything.

"Greetings everybody," a familiar voice came up from behind surprisingly you. "Zhongli? You're also here! What a coincidence"

"Hey brodie how have you been?" Itto shouted shaking his hand getting a nervous laugh in return. "I've been quite well. I am glad to see you all together again"

"Let's go enjoy ourselves until the fireworks come?" Childe suggested getting cheers from the group meaning they were all on board.

"Do you guys think I can win a fish?"

"The last time you won a fish it fucking drowned."

"Itto that's not how it works"

"Oh yeah!? tell me why my fish drowned then!"

"Itto you fucking bought a fake fish that ran on batteries and when you dropped it into the fish tank it obviously BROKE," you deadpanned.

"Oh that makes sense."

You all shared laughs and had fun walking around seeing all the new fun stuff. Kids running around carefree playing. The mood was so festive and you were having so much fun you just wished you could share it with him but you shook it off knowing that it was suppose to be a fun night with everyone.

"Y/n the fireworks are starting soon follow us!" Yanfei grabbed your arm pulling you along with the rest of the group snapping you out of your thoughts.

"What are you guys going to write?" you stared at the lanterns in everyone's hands.

"I wish for more customers"

"You're basically saying you want more people to die."

"What about you y/n? what's your biggest wish?" Venti turned to you with a curious expression.

"I want to stay with you guys forever. I love all our memories and how genuine all are."

"Awwh you're going to make me cry" Aether sniffed, "I also wish to last forever with my love I miss him I hope he never gets tired of me" you added.

"He'd never get tired of you in fact I have a feeling it's the opposite of that."

You all arrived at the spot you all share and always go to every lantern rite event together. It was Xiao's spot at first but everyone eventually joined in and stole it.

"Y/n we're gonna get some food we'll be right back!" Your friends all backed away slowly causing you to he confused as to why they were all leaving together.

"We just got here?"

"The walk made me hungry."

"Okay then" you just let it go knowing your friends were always unpredictable like that. You walked closer to the edge of the cliff looking down at the city where everyone was smiling and talking with one another.

this is giving deja vu.

A few minutes passed by and people were beginning to release their lanterns in the sky. The view was beautiful the stars and the lights in the sky all tied together.

Ningguang did such an amazing job this year.

You turned around hoping your friends were back but sadly there was no one. It was just you all alone making you sad for having to spend such a breathtaking moment alone.

It honestly made you miss your boyfriend even more you wanted to so badly just be with him right now.

You took a deep breath writing down your wish on the lantern, 'eternity with him until the world decides to finally pull us a part to spend an afterlife together.'

Squeezing your eyes you released it into the sky with hope that it'd come true, "I wonder if he feels the same way of spending the rest of his life with me too."

"Y/n"

"Oh hey you guys are ba–" you turned around expecting to see your friends but instead the sight made you lose control of everything.

"xiao? are you really here?"

"You look stunning as always" he smiled walking towards you confirming it was really him.

You had no clue he was even going to surprise you like this and you wanted to so badly run into his arms but got interrupted.

"We're back!" Childe shouted from your left you turned to them with the biggest smile on your face waving.

"Guys! Xiao's here!" you excitedly announced but nobody was gave a reaction. It was as if they had already known long ago. You were confused until the first firework set off the sky lighting everything up and Lumine spoke up in the moment.

"We know"

You froze feeling like your heart was going to come out of your chest because of how fast it was going. You turned to xiao gave you a soft reassuring smile like all your worries in the world had gone away.

It was like that smile carried all the words and love he had for you until he got down on one knee and you realized everything in that exact moment why everyone had been acing so different.

Your eyes widen slapping a hand over your mouth not believing anything was real right now. Tears forming at your waterline you were going to burst into tears at any moment now.

That was when everything clicked and you spotted your family with Zhongli behind Xiao in the distance together watching everything unfold.

Everything he had set up just for you: the lights, flowers, everyone who was special to you, the dress, and everything you had ever wanted in one proposal.

He took one deep breath his hands trembling as he reached into his pocket to pull out a small box. He opened it revealing a ring and saying the words you've been dying to hear since the day you fell in love with him.

"Will you marry me Y/n L/n?"
