Twenty minutes later I was walked unarmed (at least no manmade weapons) into the warehouse were the seven criminals and eleven hostages were. The hostages sat tied up in the middle of the huge building. The cargo's had been swapped for a black micro-mini with tiny shorts underneath to give me the impression of comfort. The sleeveless top was now a skin-tight strapless midnight blue one. The shoes hadn't changed, but the knives were gone. Actually I still had a flip knife in my now strapless bra. My hair was down and fell around my shoulders, that was inconvenient, but helped with what I had to do.
There were four criminals armed to the teeth standing around the hostages. Three telekinetics and one werewolf. The other telekinetic, werewolf and fallen were sitting against a few pillars a few feet away.
They all looked up when they heard me come in.
"Who am I negotiating with?" I asked calmly, stopping a few feet in front of the hostages.
"That would be me," the fallen angel walked straight up to me, stopping half an inch away. He was a good six inches taller than me.
"I hear you want a hell portal," I kept my voice light and calm.
"Can I have a name?" he leered down at me.
"Victoria," I smiled. Professionally, I kept my mind blank about the flirting, I've had to do it before. Only I hadn't had Nick on my mind before... it made it harder.
"I'm Azel," he smirked. "So, Vicky, do we get our portal?"
"If you release a hostage, we can talk about it," I smiled slyly. Slowly, very slowly, I was introducing my seduction power into my voice. If I was careful, he wouldn't notice and I could get this mission over with fast. I wanted to make this fast.
"Not so fast," he turned around to face the shaking men and women. "If I release one of these lovely people, I'll have less control over you now won't I Vicky?"
"Don't think like that," I smiled, walking up beside him. "Ten is still..." I walked in front of him, meeting his eyes. "A lot of influence." I smiled suggestively.
"I like you," he laughed. "First demon I've ever met outside of home and you're making a damn good impression."
"Happy to help," I leant up against him. "Now... about that hostage."
"Not yet," he smirked. "You have to give me something I want first."
"I can't give you a portal yet," I pouted adorably. "Because how can I be sure you'll let these people go?"
"You can give me this," he leant down. Oh crap...
I squeezed my eyes shut and just let the murdering stranger kiss me. Again, I was used to this. It comes as part of the job description, but that didn't mean I had to like it, I just had to pretend that I did. His arm was around my waist before I knew it, pinning me against him. The other hand was wound in my hair, holding my head to him.
It was friggin long kiss.
Finally when he was done, he let me step back. I was doing my best not go gag. I was forcing that annoying sly smile on my face, my hands linked behind my back to make me look innocent at the same time as pushing my chest out.
"Can I have a hostage now?" I asked sweetly.
He looked around the room. The other men were all looking at me hungrily. Oh serious crap...
"I think we can do that," he laughed. "Just one, then we talk about the portal."
"Deal," I beamed.
I walked airily over to the trembling hostages. They were all looking up at me with desperate wide eyes. Damn it I hate choosing worse than anything I've had to do yet. One of the women was pregnant and holding hands secretly with a man.
I looked at her, then looked him straight in the eye then back at her. He nodded frantically his eyes pleading. She realized what was happening and started crying, holding his hand tighter. I walked up to her, Azel right behind me. He handed me a pocket knife and I cut her ropes. He grabbed the knife back before I could try anything. Of course I wouldn't try anything that dangerous, yet.
I helped her up. She was holding her huge stomach, tears still streaming down her face. She was weak. I put her arm over my shoulder and my other arm around her middle.
"Come on, I'm getting you out of here," I murmured, helping her walk forward.
"Joe, make sure our little friend comes back," Azel called to one of the werewolves against the pillar. Joe walked up to us a little too enthusiastically. Great; just fucking great. A hormonal puppy.
I helped the woman to the door, Joe trailing uncomfortably close to my side. Our limo and a few black trucks (the special police force that knew about us) sat a good distance from the warehouse. When they saw us, one of the police officers ran out half way.
Once I got to the officer, I handed over the woman, promising that I would get her husband too.
Chris and Nick were standing outside of the limo, staring straight at me. I refused to make eye contact.
As soon as the woman let go of me, Joe's gun was at my head. We both knew that it would get more than a bullet to the head to kill me, but it looked threatening.
He put an arm around my shoulders and calmly backed us up until we were back in the warehouse, then he locked the door.
I was walking back to the centre of the room without waiting for him. I did not need a friggin escort.
Azel was sitting by the pillars again. I went to join him. I sat in front of him, making sure he got a flash of higher up my skirt as I did. I'm too good at this, it's depressing.
"So, time to discuss the portal," he smirked.
"How can we be sure that we'll get one," Joe asked, sitting beside me. The other telekinetic who was sitting at the pillar came up to join us, sitting on my other side. The guards all watched us.
"Why do you want one?" I asked, crossing my ankles to draw attention to my legs. It worked.
"To get home," Azel told me, his eyes a little lower than my face.
"Is that the only reason?" I put my hands on the pavement behind me; the movement pushed my chest out a little bit more. By the grin, I think he noticed.
"Yes," he laughed. "But I must commend you, you're good."
"I don't know what you mean," I tipped my head back a little, letting my hair spill over my shoulders and down my back.
"Of course you don't," he licked his lips.
"But all of your friends can't use the portal," I leant forward now, brining my hands to my sides, brushing the legs of the guys next to me. They noticed. "Are they just really loyal friends?"
"We've known Azel for years," Jo told me, looking down at my hand. "He wants to get home, we'll help him."
"How noble of you," I looked at him, straight in the eyes and smiled.
Azel cleared his throat. They were starting to subconsciously fight for my attention, good, that meant my power was working. I turned back to the angel with an apologetic smile. He laughed.
"Oh dear," he leant further back against the pillar. "Do you usually do the negotiations in these sort of situations?"
"Usually it's my friend, Chris, who does it," I shrugged slowly. "But he's unable to attend tonight."
"What a shame," this time he leant forward. I leant forward in return, until we were only two inches apart.
"Why do you really want this portal?" I breathed, looking at his lips.
"To go home," he smirked. Damn it he's stubborn. Still, I know he's lying. I'm sure he knows that I know too. He smirked at me. Yeah, he definitely knows.
Okay, plan B.
"Really?" I leant even further forward, I let some fake desperation leak into my eyes, but only a little.
"Yeah," he looked a little confused at the new emotion. Good.
"Will-" I cut myself off, sitting back down away from him. I kept eye contact though. I even let a little tear form in my eye. Oh I'm good.
"Will what?" he asked, sitting back too, trying to figure out what I wanted.
"Will you take me with you?"
As I said it, I tried to make it as convincing as I possibly could. Unfortunately the desperation in my voice wasn't completely down to my convincing acting. The tears in my eyes weren't faked anymore. Damn it... I really want to go home.
