"This is very very good James," the general smiled again. "Just a few questions."

"Of couse sir," James was trying not to burst with joy.

"About the rankings in the group, how did you work them out?"

"Well sir," James explained. "I chose the most suiited three to be the leader, second in command and third in command. Then I rated the vampire as top of the remaning. I called the remaning personel 2nd level as they were not suited for the top three postions."

"I see," the general looked again. "And, one last thing. This girl, Victoria, what do you mean by 'death eyes'?"

"That girl can drive any human to kill themselves with only a look," James said proudly. "She is very strong."

"But not strong enough to be one of the top three?" the general asked.

"Sir, that girl has a serious hate for all humans, I thought it unwise to put her in such a high position with that history."

"Very good James. I want you to be carefull with these kids though, they are all very dangerous."

"I plan on only communicating through the leader sir," James stated. "I should be quite safe."

"Good to hear," the general cracked a wide smile. "Well off you go James, create this group and report back to me, this could be the greatest sucess of your career."

"Yes sir," James said proffesionally. "Thank you sir."

With that he left the office, beaming.

PRESENT

I yawned, looking around at everyone. We were back in the limo after our mission. It was like two in the morning... damned rouge vampires took forever to kill, not to mention all the human scum that got in the way.

Chris was still wide awake, looking pleased with himself. His sandy brown hair was matted with blood, amber eyes beaming. He really enjoyed killing those vamps, typical werewolf.

Ray was the opposite. He hates killing his own kind. He was sulking the in corner of the limo, scarlet eyes glaring at the wall, white hair limp and messy. I wondered what would happen if I called him a kid right now, he'd probably try to gut me. The one thing he can't stand more than killing other vampires is being called a kid. I guess it's the side affect of looking fifteen for 314 years.

Nina and Nick were sleeping close together. That was going to be a problem when they woke up... Nina's pale blue hair was spilled around the seat with only a little bit of blood spatter. Nick was the opposite, black hair covered in the horrid stuff. I could have laughed. They were complete opposites in every way, not to mention a light and dark angel; but there they were sleeping so close just like a couple. I better pull one of them away before we get home. I really can't be bothered to deal with another fight today...

Matt was sitting cross-legged, opposite to me, chin resting in hand. I didn't know if he was asleep or not. I could never tell with our leader, he's an odd one. His midnight blue hair was completely blood free, even though he'd done just as much killing as everyone else. There had been a lot of rouge leeches. His signature black trench coat hadn't been so lucky. It was torn in at least three places, but it was fine considering he had a closet stuffed with the things.

Jay was on the floor, snoring softly. He was just as drenched as Chris. His platinum blonde hair was matted to his head, along with the rest of him. I guess he had one of the hardest jobs, being the group's necromancer. We were fighting the living dead after all. I was half-glad that he was asleep now, because when he's up, he never shuts up. As sweet as the guy is, he needs a shock collar to keep him quiet. Don't even get me started on the flirting, with any and every female in sight.

Justin was awake, but staring out of the window emptily. He doesn't talk much and no one really forces him too. He's a bit of a loner, goth or not sometimes I really want him to open up. I've had one or two conversations with him over the months, but it was just when I wanted to borrow one of his jackets of shirts. The guy does have fantastic taste. I followed his stare out the window to see that he was creating little tidal waves in the river beside us. I smiled and looked away, he's a good elemental.

I looked down at my hands and stopped smiling. I managed not to get my already blood red hair covered in anything, but my hands didn't escape it. I shuddered, remembering that I'd used that power tonight... I hate using that power.

'You didn't have a choice' matt's voice sounded in my head. Annoying as ever.

'Get out of my head' I stared straight at him 'I'm not in the mood'

'I just didn't want to wake anyone up,' he glanced at Nina and Nick 'especially right now'

'Fair enough' I sighed out loud 'please tell me we get a day off tomorrow'

'So far as I know' he smiled 'I promise there'll be no training, but I can't promise there will be no mission'

'I know,' I sighed again 'thanks'

He nodded, looking out of his window.

I'm so tired... we have at least half an hour until we get home anyways... I lay down, choosing to put my head in Chris' lap rather than Justin's. If he didn't like it, tough. He didn't say anything though, I guess he was still too happy about the mission.

I closed my eyes and drifted off, doing my best to not think about the mission.

"Victoria..." someone was poking my head. It was Chris, but I wasn't budging.

"Go away," I swatted the hand away. "Tired..."

"You know she won't get up," Matt told Chris "Just pick her up."

"I'll do it," Nick yawned. I felt someone pick me up, carrying me out of the limo and into the cold air. I shivered, well, at least I don't have to get up. I wouldn't have anyways. Everyone knows that the only thing that pisses me off is being forced to get up.

I'm not fun to be around when I'm pissed off.

I let Nick carry me all the way into the mansion entrance before I stretched and asked him to put me down.

"Vi..." Nina leaned against me.

"Yeah?" I leaned back.

"My room's all the way in the third floor... yours in only on the first... and I'm sooo tired..."

"Go for it," I yawned. "I'm too tired to walk..."

I let my wings out. Two leathery bat like wings burst from my back with the familiar sting of pain. I slumped over, closed my eyes, and let my wings fly me up the stairs. I opened one eye to see Nina doing the same thing, but with her snow white angel's wings.

When I got to my room Nina slumped onto my sofa and was asleep in seconds. She better clean the blood off of it tomorrow... oh who gives a damn.

I flew to my bed and fell into it, not bothering to get off the covers. I didn't even bother to tuck my wings. I just fell asleep.

If someone gets me up before noon tomorrow there will be hell to pay... quite literally.
