The next day, the gang gathered around, brainstorming ideas about how to defeat the monster.

Summer and I must've read each other's minds because at the same time, we both jumped up and exclaimed, "THE ANCIENT LIBRARY!"

"It must have the answers we need! The ancients must've known... right?" Amy says, looking at Summer and I.

We both nodded in unison and started to walk towards the location of the ancient library, the others following closely.

When we arrived at the library, which was on the side of a mountain, we encountered two huge stone doors with vines and ivy wrapped around them. At the base on each door was one indent of mobian hand.

"Only civilians born on the island can open these doors." I explained. "How do we know if it's not the government just trying to get our fingerprints?" asked Sticks, being her paranoid self.

Summer rolled her eyes at her. "It's the ANCIENTS. Plus, very few know our island's location, so we're safe." Summer said. "Okay, if you say so..." said Sticks.

"We know so." I say, smirking. Summer and I turned to the doors and put our right hands into one of the indents, closed eyes and said,

"Ohermosthia tyshien"

The doors opened, revealing several rows of bookshelves packed with books. Summer knew exactly where to go. She found the section labeled 'Monsters' and grabbed a very dusty book called 'Ancient Monsters.'

Summer blew the dust off the book, causing me to sneeze. "Oops, sorry, Crystal." She said with a sheepish smile.
"It's okay," I replied. Summer flipped through the pages until she found the monster that we're dealing with.

"Rockzilla," she read, "An ancient dinosaur-dragon like monster that destroys everything in its path. The monster was asleep for over 1,000 years and if awaken from its slumber, the only way to defeat it is..." Summer trailed off for a moment and gasped. She suddenly burst into tears.

Poseidon looked at the text and his face turned pale. He started finish what Summer was going to read.
"... A royal needs to either self sacrifice or face the beast solo." He said, mournfully.

Everyone, except Summer and Poseidon, gasped in shock. Even Eggman was shocked! "So, Crystal is going to either sacrifice herself or face Rockzilla by herself?!" Amy said. I sighed sadly and nodded 'yes.'

"I believe Crystal can defeat it on her own. She's more powerful than all of us combined." Shadow said, wrapping his arm around me.

I look up at Shadow and give him a weak smile. "Thanks, Shadow, but I can't fight to the maximum without turning into Midnight." My ears started to droop.

"Well, we can't really do anything about that. But Crystal, Midnight might be able to defeat Rockzilla. She's pretty powerful... and a bit scary..." Eggman said.

My ears perked up and I looked up at Eggman. "Hey, that's actually true. Maybe I do have a chance of winning this battle." I say, a hint of hope in my voice.

"But, Crystal. You still can't shapeshift!" Knuckles said, throwing his arms out. "Don't worry, Knuckles. I already know how to do that." I say as I turn into Sonic. "Now that's impressive," Sonic says, "Do I always look this good?"

I shove Sonic and change back. "Don't be weird, Sonic." I say, rolling my eyes. "Amy probably would say 'yes', though." I smirk at him

"Seriously, Crystal? We don't even like each other like that..." Amy said, walking over. "Y-Yeah, j-just f-friends!" Sonic said, waving his hands in the air. "Mhm..." we all say, unconvinced.
