I wake up in my tent that I share with Shadow. I turn and see Shadow beside me, asleep. I lift up my arm slightly and caress his cheek, waking him up.

"Oh, sorry, darling. I didn't mean to wake you." Shadow chuckles quietly and looks at me with his crimson eyes. I look back at him with my aqua eyes.

He says nothing and pulls me closer to him. I nuzzle into his chest as I start purring. We look at each other for a second before leaning in for a little kiss.

We pull away and put our foreheads against each other. I smile brightly and close my eyes while Shadow just smirks and closes his eyes too.

Let me just say this...

I never thought that Shadow would be such a softie... I just thought that he never had a soft side.

I find it hard to believe that we used to be enemies before...

I love this part of Shadow. I like how he lost his raspy, kinda loud, voice and turned it into a smooth, low voice.

Also, he gives the best cuddles.

Anyways...

I never wanted this moment to end. I just wanted to stay this way forever. Whenever I cuddle Shadow, I always feel safe.

"Shadow?" I ask. "Yes?" "Whenever we hug, cuddle, kiss, or even when we look at each other, I feel safe in your presence . I love you."

"I love you, too, Crystal. It is my duty to protect you." He said.

I yawned and snuggle back into Shadow's chest.

"Well, I'm really tired and I need some rest. So,
Goodnight, Shadow." I say, sleepily.

"Goodnight, Crystal."

Before I knew it, I was out like a light.
