Farraway Mist is my one attempt at a paranormal mystery. It started out kind of mysterious, but I kept forgetting that that's what I was writing, and it kept devolving back into a smutty romance, which is my comfort zone.
Scout is fleeing a horrible man and a sad relationship that ended badly. She runs all the way from Yale University to Cornwall, on the southern coast of England, having secured a job restoring a library for a reclusive rock star. George Wilder is a wildly popular actor/singer who has turned into a recluse following the death of his supermodel wife, and he's not particularly looking forward to having a stranger in his home. A misunderstanding on George's part makes things between them even more complicated. His two dogs, Jess and Bandit, of course love Scout immediately, as do Sunil and Alfred, the two boys from the village who come to Farraway Mist from time to time to help out around the estate.
