Mickey didn't move from her bed, unable to open her eyes. She didn't want to get up; she was too tired.
She took her time thinking about all that was going on. She was dating Noah, Luke was finally in a cute relationship with Archer, and Archer seemed content as well. It made her so undescribably happy to see the two being together.
Luke came in and sat beside her, on the bed fumbling with his thumbs.
"Hey Luke, i'm glad you're dating Archer. But what about Jessie? Didn't you like her?" Mickey asked sleepily. Maybe it was a bad time to bring it up, but she had to. She didn't want Archer or Luke to get hurt.
"I did, but the only way I knew to get over someone is to find someone else,' Luke answered, grinning sweetly. Was this his only way of coping with rejection, Mickey thought, it makes sense.
"I'm still kind of surprised it was Archer though, for a while I thought you hated each other," Mickey giggled.
"Where there is hatred, there is a brotherhood of some kind," Luke added, "Can't remember who said that, but it sounds inspirational."
"Are you happy?" Mickey interrupted, completely serious. He seemed happy, but there wasn't really any evidence to prove her point. Luke ruffled her hair and smiled a small smile.
"Why wouldn't I be?"

Noah wasn't exactly estactic about projects, but he knew he wouldn't have much of a problem finishing it the night before. He'll put it off, it's what he was accustomed to.
"Get off your fucking blog, and help me!" Noah called out and Jennifer stepped out of her room, rubbing her eyes.
"What's your project?" she asked, yawning. Noah sighed, "Fuck this. I'll just wait for Roger to get here and do it for me."
"You're a lazy ass," Jennifer laughed. Noah smiled, and then ran a hand through his silky blonde hair. "At least I'm not on my blog every minute of the day. Seriously, when do you get off the computer?"
"Never," she giggled. There was a knock at the door, and Jennifer hobbled over towards it, opening it reluctantly. "Hello-"
"J-Jennifer?"
Jennifer's eyes widened, "Roger?"
He nodded and she jumped on him, squealing. He laughed, "We go to the same school?"
"Apparently!" she hugged him tightly, excited at the fact that he wasn't a fifty year old stalker.
Noah watched, grinning like an idiot. It's nice to see an ex happy, he thought to himself. He sulked as he remembered the fact that Mickey may not ever get to hug him like that. He liked Mickey, a lot actually. It's just that he kept feeling like she didn't like him as much as he liked her.
Whatever it was, he was just going to keep trying to be a good boyfriend to her.

"Mickey, wait up!"
Mickey spun around to see her best friend and her brother walking closely together. She smiled a small smile as she stood waiting for the two to catch up with her.
"Is there something you need?" she asked them. Archer scratched the back of his head, blushing slightly at the thought of what he was going to say.
"Y-You look nice today!" he smiled at her. Mickey flashed a cheeky smile back.
"Thank you," she said sweetly.
Luke pat Archer's head and grinned. He knew that Archer, by the second, was growing fonder of Mickey. Luke knew that meant that he'd have to find a way to get the two together. So he decided he would take them to a movie, leave them alone for a while, and then when they get back into the car, have Archer confess his feelings.
"We were wondering if you'd like to see a movie with us. It'd be just the three of us like when we used to talk in the closet," Archer asked nervously, fidgeting. This was weird for him. He had never really been to the movies with a girl or ever. Luke had just simply said to ask Mickey if she wanted to come, and that was it.
"Sure, I'd love to come," Mickey answered him in a very excited tone. She missed those days of joking around in a small closet while classes went on. "Besides, Noah has a project to do so I can't hang out with him today."
"All right. We're going now so you should go get your purse or something," Luke added. Mickey nodded and she ran back to her dorm.
Luke stared at an anxious Archer, knowing he was trying to fight his feelings for Mickey but that he was losing. Luke knew that Archer was truly a jerk on the inside but he was a likeable jerk. A likeable jerk with a heart of gold perfectly suited for Mickey.
And, maybe even, himself.

Mickey opened the door to the dorm, surprised at the sight of Jennifer and some guy cuddling and Noah ripping his essay in half.
"What happened here? Why is Jennifer off her blog? That's unusual," Mickey mumbled, as she walked in to get her purse on the counter.
"Help me," Noah pleaded, and Mickey laughed.
"You better finish that project soon," she smiled, "If you finish it before I get back, I'll give you a kiss!"
Noah immediately picked up the papers off the floor, and began writing furiously again.
Mickey waved at Jennifer and whoever that guy was making out on the couch, and Noah who worked diligently for that kiss.
She walked out the school, heading towards Luke's car, her thoughts playing out in her head. She really didn't know what to do around Archer and Luke. She knew she was spending so much time Noah, that it seemed they weren't important to her. But for some reason, whenever she saw Luke and Archer together, she can't help but feel like they don't need to bothered. Their relationship was just beginning and didn't need to be tampered with. She wanted to see Luke and Archer talk for endless hours, cuddle, cry together, and just be together in all the ways that they could be.
But at the same time, every time she saw Archer smile at him, she felt a pang of envy. She also wanted to be the reason Archer smiled. She wanted his smile for herself. She simply assumed it was because he was her first guy friend, and that it would never be anything more.
Mickey was seriously starting to doubt that though.

Luke drove while the two held themselves awkward conversations, followed by cute smiles. He watched them closely, the way they got flustered around each other amused him. Archer would simply deny it by hiding his face while Mickey would look away.
If feelings could be exchanged just through looks, these two would have no problem confessing, Luke thought.
If feelings could be exchanged just through smiles, maybe he'd find out what he felt Archer.
Because right now, Luke was so uncertain he could die.
