This is really not serious, so if you want to skip it I'd understand.

You know how everyone kept complaining about there being too much straight relationship and there not being enough female-male friendships that just stay friends or mlm/wlw relationships?

NOW...there's too many people headcanoning that people are gay!

Let me give you a prime example and the main reason why I argue about this (in my own head, lol, BUT NOW IS THE TIME).

Luca and Alberto were NEVER MEANT TO BE GAY!!! I mean, yeah, sure, maybe they intended them to be a gay relationship, but then they SOON REALIZED THAT THERE WAS TOO LITTLE OF GUYS JUST BEING FRIENDS!

And guess what? The fandom made it gay anyway.

Edit: I did actually find out that Luca and Alberto were intended by the crew to have a little gay smooch at the end, and I've unfortunately already started to cave in with my fighting against the norm, but I STILL kinda stand for the point I'm about to make.

Let me clarify something, in NO WAY, SHAPE, OR FORM am I against shipping them. I actually quite like them and I do think about them sometimes. When explored in future scenarios, they can be quite cute.

But whatever (romantic) chemistry you're seeing with them? Like, ACTUALLY in the movie?

It isn't there. (Edit, by that I mean that I'm not seeing what you're seeing)

Because, IN MY OPINION, if Luca were to have chemistry with ANYONE that went past friendly chemistry and hit borderline romantic chemistry, it would be Giulia.

HOW BLIND DO YOU HAVE TO BE TO NOT SEE THAT IT IS RIGHT THERE?!?!

So, yeah, that's my qualm. In my personal opinion, Luca and Alberto are just friends, and if Luca were to have any borderline romantic chemistry with anyone, it would be Giulia.

Now, I'm not saying that in the future, they wouldn't get together. Matter of fact, whenever I think about Luberto being an actual relationship, I usually think in like young adult to older adult terms. Because I can see them getting together in their late teens. But now? When they're 13-14? I think Lugiulia is better.

AGAIN, I am not discriminating against the people who ship Luberto. Again, I think it's kind of cute. Just overdone.
