I woke up as the alarm started to rang ,I switched off the phone alarm and sit straight on the bed the  chirping of birds was filling my ears when my phone rang again I took the phone only to see his message

'Good morning' I saw the message but didn't replied

I tied my hair into a bun and grab some usual former wear. I came out of the shower  and grabbing my belongings in my bag with my white coat I directly made my way to kitchen as I didn't get my morning coffee I had to make it myself.I open the jar of coffee powder only to frown as the coffee jar was empty.
I had a usual breakfast and made my way to the hospital and decided to had my coffee in the canteen

"Dr. Murthy it's an emergency!" The nurse came in front of me as I was making my way to the cafeteria

Ok I think I won't be having my coffee today

Manik's pov

I was in my hotel room with a bunch of file on my table sipping my third cup of coffee and putting it back on the table

I have decided to surprise Nandani by reaching there before the dinner but as a result I have to complete my work at double speed
But I am doing this for her so I am going to be fine

I was there infront of my huge mansion I open the door and enter inside holding a bag of  food and cake I kept them both in the fridge and texted Nandani

'Are you free?'

It's 9 clock her duty must be over at I look at the watch and waited for her reply for my surprise she was online but didn't see my message I decided to call her..in third ring finally she picked up

"Hello?"I said more like asking

"Can you come to pick me up?"she asked in stammering voice which make me tense about herself

I took my keys still on the call

"I am coming just stay there."I said while she cut the call

At the speed of light I was there infront of the hospital my eyes were searching for her when I saw a blurry figure of her standing just at the hospital gate..I walk till her more like to run and saw her eyes red and face swelled up

"Are you fine?"I ask while she just wrape her arm around me..

"She died"she stated looking in my eyes which make her eye more red while I was s just starring blankly

We were in the car which was still parked infront of the hospital and Nandani was sitting on the driver sit while still sitting numb

"Naina was good person ,she loved reading books ,she want to become a author,she was ambitious.."she finally said something that came merely as a whisper to me

"She was having a surgery and she.." she again continue to say until her eyes filled with fresh tear but she wipe them before coming out of her eyes

I patted her back and slowly gave her my handkerchief..she took it  making me surprised

Nandani p.o.v

I can't belive it,I mean I just saw her yesterday smiling and now the fact that I won't be meeting her again was hard to digest,I know I don't have a right to be crying on her as a doctor,I not  suppose to be like this but even I am a human. I met her 15 days ago for the first time and there was this instant connection between us,cool down Nandani ,Calm yourself down

When Manik started to drive without even saying words

Just thinking that after some days we won't be together, make my heart ache  ,I couldn't handle when a girl whom I met just few days ago was there no more, I can't even imagine what would happen when I leave the person I have been  almost till one year, I have put so much in him.

Just thinking about things won't be like this ,we won't be like this make me feel empty from the inside

When the car stop making me realise that we were infront of the mansion ,we make our to door while Manik open it and we enter I get into room first took my night wear and enter the wash room

I came out of the room only to see Manik  placing dishes on this dinning table in his night suit

"Come."he said as he saw me coming in the dinning area

"You have prepared for dinner?"I questioned

"Yeah..it is in the microwave "he said

I just took my seat and waited for him,he came out of the kitchen  while the dinning area was filling up with the food fragrance

We had the dinner it was mostly silent while he asked me question and I gave anwer in two or three words only as I was not in the sense to talk

I am changing my position and adjusting on the bed but still can't fall asleep

Why?I don't want to think about this all I just want to fall asleep so I can be disconnected from this world

I got up from the bed only to see Manik was not around in the room I got out of the room and made my way to the backyard because I saw him going there.

He was walking around in the middle of night what is he doing? curiosity was increasing in me when his eyes fall on me making him realise I was there staring at him with curiosity. He waved at me and actioned me to come there with him and I slowly walked towards him

"You didn't slept?"he asked and what am I supposed to say him

"Yeah.."these were the word I think of to answer with

"You didn't slept as well?"I continued my sentence with a question

"Yeah.."he said

Is he mocking me

"Are you mocking me ?" I asked  

"Yeah!"he said with a amusing smile

"And may I ask why?"I asked again

"Yeah asked."Aaa..this man

"Why!?"I said sounding like a irateted child

"Sadness is all rewritten on your face and still you are trying to hide it somewhere inside you.."he said while I touch my face only to realise my cheek were still a bit hot due to crying continually making me realise he was right this time

"Don't do this to Nandani yourself..it's hurt"he continue while making an eye contact with me and I can feel my eyes where filling with fresh tears, I weakly smiled looking at the star in the sky while still can feel his gaze on me

"I just want to disappear myself."I said breaking the silence between us and he grabbed my hand and pull me towards him waping his hand around me

"Everything is going to be fine"he whispered near my ears..just this words were enough for making me cry in his arm..I cried out..I cried my heart out..
