Several weeks had gone by and it had become a daily thing for you to stay at the Kamisato's apartment or dinner. Thoma made the best food you've ever eaten, and he's even made certain foods you dislike taste godly.

During that time your relationship with Yoimiya has distanced more. You'd still hang out at school, but never after. Ayaka has invited her over countless times, but she always claims she's busy. The few days Yoimiya wasn't busy is when you invited her and Ayaka to your apartment in the evening to watch movies.

It was an early Saturday morning and your main goal for the day was to spend some time with Yoimiya. Whether it be alone, or with Ayaka.

You laid in bed staring at the many posters of Ayato that filled your room. It was still hard to believe that Ayato had actually seen your bedroom. Thankfully, Ayaka hadn't seen your bedroom. She'd been to your apartment a few times but never stepped foot into your room filled with posters. If she ever found out, she'd probably team up with Thoma in some plan for me to get closer to Ayato.

You opened your phone to text Yoimiya about meeting up, but when you opened your phone, you saw a message from Ayaka on the chat with all three of you.

Hey, do you guys want to meet up later? It's been a while since we've done something as a group.

To your surprise, Yoimiya had already responded with: Sounds great πŸŽ†

You were excited to see that Yoimiya had actually agreed with the plans after so long of saying she was busy.

The three of you had decided to meet up at a small park just outside of the mall you usually visit.

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

"YYYY/NNN!" Yoimiya shouted as she jumped on you.

You smiled as you spoke, "it's been a while since I've seen you outside of school."

Ayaka nodded in agreement as Yoimiya detached from your body.

"Oh," she paused for a moment, "about that... I was hired as a cashier at McDonald's, so I've been extremely busy."

"WHAAAAT?!" You and Ayaka screamed in sync.

People around the park glanced at you. Someone's dog even started barking.

"I'm sorry I totally forgot to tell you guys," Yoimiya apologized as she scratched the back her of head.

You were really surprised Yoimiya never told you this, especially since you guys were best friends and usually tell each other everything. She never even told you she was even interested in getting a job.

"It's alright," you murmured bitterly.

"Wait, what's Mcdonald's?" Ayaka asked in pure confusion.

You and Yoimiya froze.

Fancy rich people...

"I'm really surprised you don't know what--" you suddenly got cut off by Yoimiya.

"McDonald's is the best fast-food place to ever exist! And it's worldwide! I can't believe you've never even heard of it. When I'm not busy I'll take you there!"

"Thank you, Yoimiya. Yes, I've never heard of it since I never eat commoners' food." Ayaka explained.

You knew Ayaka wasn't trying to brag, but you felt really jealous she gets to eat all that high-class food without care. You've gotten to eat some of Thoma's homemade meals which was truly a blessing. Oh, how much you could eat Thoma's cooking every day.

"You've never had fast food?" You asked.

Ayaka nodded, "as far as I remember, yes. Up until recently I've been on a strict diet, and I was told if I ate commoner food, I'll gain weight rapidly." Her face turned a bit red, "I'm not saying that you guys are unhealthy or anything! I- I just-"

"We understand what you mean," you smiled as Yoimiya repeatedly nodded.

You hadn't realized that Ayaka had been on a strict diet in the past. She must've been uplifted from that diet while she's on break from her modeling.

After talking for a little bit longer you finally decided to take a walk around the park. Yoimiya would threaten almost every squirrel she saw with her fireworks.

You and Yoimiya have walked through this park many times and the squirrels living here have become quite unfriendly towards Yoimiya. She's burnt a couple on accident and on purpose with her fireworks, so anytime she comes through the trails, the squirrels will retreat to the trees and throw sticks and pinecones at her.

While the squirrels hate Yoimiya, they seemed quite fond of Ayaka. They waddled close enough to her to sniff her shoes. While the little creatures didn't mind her, it was the opposite for Ayaka. She looked petrified as a couple of squirrels stood inches away from her.

"H-help, t-these terrifying creatures look like they're ready to t-tear my limbs off." Ayaka stuttered in fear.

Yoimiya stepped in front of the squirrels, and they quickly retreated to the trees where they'd be safe from the firework shooting monster.

"You're afraid of squirrels?" You asked in a tone filled with astonishment.

Ayaka timidly nodded, "yes, I know it's quite embarrassing, but I've had nightmares of them jumping down on stage and eating my clothes while I'm preforming."

"Squirrels? Not rats?" You wanted to confirm.

She nodded again, "I don't mind rats, but squirrels are vile creatures."

"Watch out, because these things are super evil around here," Yoimiya warned while pulling out a small twig from her hair.

Ayaka froze.

"No, they are not! The squirrels only hate Yoimiya because she shoots fireworks at them. If you don't engage with them then they shouldn't bother you." You explained.

She was able to breathe again, "I think I've had enough of the park for one day."

You nodded in agreement, "why don't we get some lunch? I'm starving!"

"That sounds much nicer than being in range with those little fuzzy killers." Ayaka said.

"Sorry, I won't be able to attend lunch with you," Yoimiya said while looking at her phone.

"Work shift?" You wondered.

She shook her head, "no, something else suddenly came up. I need to leave right now, I'm sorry!"

She pulled you and Ayaka into a quick hug before hurrying off.

There was definitely something off with Yoimiya and you really wanted to know what. Unless your head has been playing some serious mind tricks lately. But you felt as if Yoimiya had been putting on a happy face to fool you into thinking she's fine. She's the type of person to hide how she's really feeling with an optimistic attitude.

"That's unfortunate. I was hoping the three of us could get lunch together." Ayaka admitted.

You nodded in agreement.

"Shall I ask Ayato and Thoma if they'd like to have lunch with us instead?" She asked, "I know of this very nice restaurant nearby that I've been wanting to try."

Hearing Ayato's name made your heart skip a beat.

"Yes." You said a little hesitate as your face glowed pink.
