( I MISS YOU, I'M SORRY )
"ALRIGHT I'M NOT DEALING WITH THIS ANYMORE." Gabbie told rylan, grabbing her hand and pulling her up off the sand.
"Wait! The baby!" Rylan looked back as gabbie continued to pull her.
"You haven't gone into the water once today, you can barely looked at corbyn, and you're like physically attached to lavender." Gabbie listed off every reason why she was worried about rylan.
"I'm just not in the mood to get in the ocean today." Rylan shrugged and Gabbie raised her eyebrow.
"Are you okay?" Gabbie asked softly, worried about her best friend.
"I could be better," She said and Gabbie nodded before beginning to pull her towards the water. "Gabs we can't just leave your child unattended!"
"She's not unattended, look Jo and Tate are there now." Gabbie smiled, looking back. Rylan looked back to were she was two seconds before and saw her brother and his girlfriend already getting comfortable.
"ugh fine," Rylan rolled her eyes slightly. As she was being dragged by Gabbie, she spotted Venus down in the corner, which caused her to perk up. "Um, I'll meet up with you in a couple minutes gabs, there's someone I have to talk to." Rylan told her and Gabbie drew her eyebrows together in concern.
"as long as you're not making up an excuse to go back to the house." Gabbie told her.
"I'm not." Rylan confirmed, shaking her head slightly. Rylan walked up to Venus, guilt pouring over her when she knew what she did. "V, hey." the younger girl smiled lightly. Venus rolled her eyes slightly, not wanted to speak to Rylan at all.
"I'm trying to enjoy this trip, since you've decided to spoil it." Venus spoke harshly, causing Rylan to purse her lips.
"I admit, I deserve that." She nodded and Venus raised her eyebrow. "I'm sorry about what happened last night."
"Rylan, I told you I liked Daniel not even an hour before, and then you decided to go and kiss him." Venus turned to look at her. "it hurts when it's some random person, but when it's your friend? someone you care about? it's even worst." Venus went to go walk away.
"I know, I was stupid, and I drank, and I hurt a lot of people." she tried to start apologizing, "And I know, I can't just fix this by apologizing but I need to at least try." Rylan told her.
"it's going to take a lot more than 'I'm sorry' to fix this." Venus told her before storming away, going to where her friends sat at the other side of the beach.
Rylan bit her lip, knowing that she could easily justify her actions, but she wouldn't do that to Corbyn. It wasn't her place until they worked it out. Rylan walked up to Gabbie who was sat next to Jack. The boy sent a sympathetic smile her way, knowing exactly what happened just by watching the exchange between Venus and Rylan.
"Don't look at me like that, I brought this on myself." Rylan shook her head, feeling tears prick her eyes again.
"Rye y--"
"Come on, after tonight you guys won't be able to come to the beach that often." Rylan spoke, helping Gabbie up and going into the water.
"I'll meet you guys in five minutes." Jack told them when he noticed Daniel walking up to him.
"How is she?" Daniel asked, looking over to Rylan, who was talking to Gabbie as they walked deeper into the ocean.
"She's hurt," Jack pursed his lips, "but she's also guilt ridden."
"I feel bad." Daniel frowned.
"How's corbyn?" Jack asked.
"He won't talk to anyone. I don't know why."
"I do." Jack told him, which caused Daniel to furrow his eyebrows.
"Does he know about the kiss?" Daniel questioned and Jack just shook his head.
"Nope."
"So then--"
"Daniel are you done with your questions?" Jack questioned. He was being too harsh, but no one else needed to know the full story until Rylan and Corbyn talked it all out themselves.
"I don't get why she did it." Daniel changed the subject trying to get some kind answer from Jack.
"Same reason why you kissed back." Jack patted his shoulder before going up the rock that everyone was jumping off of.
"what?" Daniel went to go question, but Jack was already walking away.
"I'll see you when we're getting ready for the concert!" Jack yelled back at Daniel, causing him to roll his eyes.
"hey." Rylan smiled softly when corbyn noticed her. He looked at her, and instantly he felt tears come to his eyes. The guilt of what had happened the night before was eating him up, which caused him to want to just hug her. "No, why are you crying?" She frowned, rushing up to him before going to stand in between his legs. He wrapped his arms around her waist as her hands went on either side of his face.
"I justโ" Corbyn cut himself off, no knowing what to say. A tear strayed from the rest, falling down his face. Rylan used her thumb to wipe it away, hating when she saw him cry. Even more when she knew what the reason behind it was.
"Please don't cry." She whispered, before running her fingers through his hair. He embraced her, but because she had been standing, his head was place just below her chest. Rylan just hugged him back tightly, knowing that when the truth came out of the night before, she wouldn't been getting hugs from him that easily.
"Rye I messed up bad." He shook his head. Corbyn wasn't able to suppress the brokenness anymore, because he completely shattered in her arms. He cried, while she consoled him.
"It's okay." She tried to reassure him, but corbyn pulled back slightly to shake his head. He looked up at her, which caused Rylan to look down at his eyes. The only thing she could see was the regret washing behind the tears, and farther than that was the heart that was waiting to be broken.
"It's not okay." He told her, standing up before placing a hand on her cheek and pulling her in for a kiss. He didn't know when the next time he was going to be able to do that, so he wanted to remind himself of the love he held for the girl standing in front of him.
"I did something really bad, but I love you rylan," Corbyn started, pushing her hair out of her face, "I love you more than I can even describe, and it scares me because I've never been so emotionally attached to a person like I am to you." He cried and rylan found tears springing in her eyes. She knew what he was going to say, but she just wanted to stay in his arms, forgetting all about the stupid mistakes the both of them made.
"Corbyn what are you saying?"
"I cheated on you last night. I made out with a girl because I was stupidly drunk after our argument. We didn't go farther than kissing though. And this is going to hurt you I know, but I need you to know how much I love you." He took a deep breath before speaking, so that he wouldn't break down as he explained.
Rylan looked up at him, pursing her lips and nodding. "I know." Corbyn's eyebrows furrowed in confusion, not understanding how she could possible know.
"I'm not sure you heard meโ" Corbyn went to repeat, but rylan shook her, rubbing her hands up and down his arms to comfort him.
"I did. I know." She told him.
"I don't understand, how could you possible know? You weren't at the party last night." Corbyn questioned her.
"Me and Daniel ended up going later and I walked in and saw you and maeve." Rylan told him and corbyn raised his eyebrows.
"And you didn't stop us? Why are you being so calm about this?" Corbyn questioned.
"Because I have no right to be mad at you." Rylan tried to explain, but it just resulted in her trying to blink back tears. A couple of them fell, so corbyn wiped them away as he waited for Rylan to explain.
"What do you mean? Rylan I cheated on yโ"
"And I kissed Daniel." Rylan pushed it out of her. It took a second for Corbyn to process what she had said. The girl watched as his face went from shock, to upset, to on the verge of tears, to anger.
"You did what?" He seethed out, letting go of his hold on her. Rylan let out a breath, knowing that this was going to turn into an argument. How the argument was going to end? that she didn't know.
"Look I couldn't think straight andโ"
"You couldn't think straight? So you kiss my best friend? What were you drunk?" he questioned.
"A little. And you're one to talk! You made out with a girl that both of us can't stand!" She argued back, now getting mad that she was willing to forgive him but he wasn't willing to forgive her.
"I thought you were friends with her?" Corbyn raised his eyebrow and she just raised hers in challenge.
"You're seriously not helping your case." Rylan told him, causing corbyn's eyes to narrow.
"The entire argument yesterday was because I didn't want you out with Daniel! So what? You go and make out with him?"
"I kissed him! It lasted not even two seconds because it wasn't you!" She yelled. Corbyn's face visibly softened when she snapped.
"What?" He asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
"Corbyn this isn't okay." She spoke softly now, shaking her head. "We can't keep arguing about the same thing over and over again."
"What are you saying?" He looked up at her. They both were looking at each other like they didn't want to lose the other.
"I don't know what I'm saying. I just don't think this is healthy." She shook her head.
"Maybe we should take a break from each other. Just breathe for a sec." Corbyn spoke softly and rylan sucked in a breath. She was trying her best to hold back tears, they both were.
"Is that what you want?" Rylan asked, wanting to make sure they didn't do anything that would hurt them both. Corbyn didn't respond, he just slightly nodded his head. Rylan let a couple of tears stray from her eyes when she saw him crying.
Corbyn walked up to the girl, wrapping his arms around her and burying his head in her shoulder. They both just stood there, tears falling every once and a while. The embrace was the last one for a while, they both knew it, so they were savoring every moment of it.
"Hey corbyn we have to be on stage in like ten minutes you have to coโ" Zach walked into the dressing room to see the two in a somber embrace. Being in of the only ones that didn't know any of the actions of the night before, Zach didn't understand why the both of them were crying.
"Are you guys okay?" Zach questioned. The couple pulled away from each other, reluctantly, but they knew that corbyn had a job to do.
"I'll see you later." Rylan told him, wiping away the tears from corbyn's face so that it was less noticeable.
"Yeah." He nodded. Corbyn followed Zach out of the room. Gabbie walked in a couple seconds later, looking for her best friend.
"Hey rye we're going to go watch the shoโ" the moment she saw rylan's hand shake she worried. She knew something had happened, and the girl was on the verge of a break down. Gabbie ran over to, Rylan before wrapping her arms around her and running her fingers through her hair. "Let it out." Gabbie whispered.
"I ruined it all." Rylan choked out through her cries, not knowing how it was possible that from one day to the next she could ruin everything.
