alone, will you? You've been bothering him for the last hour."

"You don't tell me what to do and what not to do, Klaus." She muttered. "Why are you here? To bother me, I presume." She didn't wait for him to reply to her assumption and turned around to her right, shutting her eyes.

"Please, you're not that interesting." Klaus teased, making her scoff. "Rebekah's less of a nuisance that you are."

"On the contrary, brother," Another British-accented voice in Aurelia made her open her eyes wide as she stared into a pair of dark orbs. "She's the most intriguing woman I've met." Kol smirked and looked down at her, as she laughed. "Hi, love."

"I should've figured you come in pairs." She teased. "Hasn't Mama Esther set a bedtime for you?" Kol rolled his eyes at her, but kept his smile up. She could've sworn she even saw a small glint in his eyes. "What?"

"You reek, sweetheart, that's what." He said, just as Aurelia's drink was placed on the table. He took it away from her before she could even reach for it, making her moan in disappointment. "How many glasses have you had?" He asked her, making her chuckle and lift up three fingers, making him raise an eyebrow. "Three?" She shook her head and laughed again. "Thirty?" She nodded this time, making him smile yet again as he lifted the glass up to his lips. "You've had thirty glasses of neat whiskey?"

"Give or take five?" She tried to say, but it came out as a question. "I'm not that drunk. I can drive a car just fine and walk in a straight line. I'd need another twenty glasses to stop that." He hummed as he took another sip. "Give me my glass, Kol." She extended her hand for him to place the glass in, but he shook his head and pulled his arm further away from her. "Kol!"

"Aurelia!" He mocked, as she stood up and reached out for the glass. He didn't let her take it though, making her lean further towards him. "Is your whiskey more important than me?" He jokingly asked, before she lowered her head to divert her eyes from the glass to his own eyes.

She smiled as she felt him clench his jaw the slightest bit as he noticed the small gap between them. "And if I say it is?" Her pitched dropped significantly as she neared him even more. "What happened? I hear no smart comments from you right now..." She bit her lip as she trailed off, making him evidently swallow.

"Aurelia?!" She jumped back into her seat as Kol placed the glass down on the table near her. The pair diverted their gaze from each other to Caroline, who was standing just feet away from her with an unimpressed look. "What was that?"

"The two lovers were fighting over a glass of neat whiskey, if my eyes saw everything correctly." Klaus' voice piped up from behind Aurelia, making her turn her head to shoot him a glare. "Aurelia was desperate enough to try and hit my brother's weak spot in order to get the drink back."

"I'm drunk." Aurelia snapped. "My inhibitions are low!"

"You just said you could drive a car just fine." Kol spoke this time as he cleared his throat and straightened out his shirt. "Are you using your tolerance for alcohol to get out of trouble?"

"What did you do to her?!" Caroline asked angrily as Klaus raised his arms in surrender. "She's... She's completely drunk!"

"I'm not drunk!" Aurelia suddenly popped up, before Kol placed his large hand over her mouth to shut her up. "Mmpfโ€”" He shushed her, letting her know that it was beneficial if she kept shut.

"Get your hands off of her!" Caroline suddenly pulled her away from him. "You-you psycho!" Klaus chuckled and stood up. "We're leaving, Aurelia. Let's go." She then took Aurelia by the arm and pulled her out of the Mystic Grill before Klaus or Kol could say anything else. "I can't believe you got drunk, again." Aurelia huffed, pulling her hand from Caroline's grip once they had crossed the road.

"I can handle myself, Caroline." She said sharply, slowing her pace to a stop. Caroline stopped in front of her as well, ready to speak when she saw someone behind her. She huffed and glared at Klaus as he approached them with a large smile.

"Is he serious?" Caroline said out loud. Aurelia spun around to face the hybrid; whose eyes were set on the other blonde. "Come on! Take a hint." She growled. Aurelia hummed and took a step backwards, out of the conversation between the other two.

"Oh, Caroline, take a chance." Klaus said. "Talk to me." Aurelia suddenly coughed to hide a laugh, ignoring his glare on her.

"No." Caroline's quick rejection made him cock up an eyebrow at her as he tilted his head. "I'm too smart to be seduced by you, Klaus." She spat, clearly shattering some of his ego as he frowned. "Aurelia, come onโ€”" She took Aurelia's hand again, but a loud gasp from her made Caroline turn to look at her sister in worry. "What happened?"

"I-I..." Aurelia's hand left her chest, revealing a large red stain on her white shirt. Caroline's eyes shot wide open in horror as she watched Aurelia's knees buckle and hit the floor.

"Aureliaโ€”" Klaus began to say, but froze as he felt a sharp pain on his chest, too. "What in hell...?" His breaths became labored once he turned his attention to Aurelia, who had collapsed and stayed deathly still.

Caroline let out a small scream when she saw Aurelia's skin dry up and turn the usual grey, just like when a vampire would die. "NO! NO! OH MY GOD!" Klaus staggered over to the dead blonde, before taking her hand and scanning her fingers for the ring. "SHE'S DEADโ€”"

"She's coming back." He stated, raising the unmoving hand higher to show Caroline the pretty ring. "I'm sure you know about how she was brought back to life in 1864." He clutched his chest harder as the pain only increased. "W-What... did you do to us?!"

"Me?!" Caroline asked incredulously. "Do you really think I would do this to my sister?!" She shot daggers at him. "What the hell is happening?!"

"...Kol." Klaus figured out immediately after Caroline's denial. "Something's going on with him." Without another word, he stood up and took Aurelia's body. He flung it over his shoulder before Caroline could protest and sped away from her sight, leaving her bewildered.

"KLAUS!"

DAMON PULLED KOL'S BODY DOWN THE ALLEYWAY next to the Mystic Grill, before looking up at Stefan. The latter had agreed to meet his brother at the spot he was at, with the dead Original Vampire in his grip. "Gotta thank Alaric for this, don't I?" Stefan didn't respond to Damon, who only rolled his eyes. "What? They're all linked, just like Mama Original put it. Any harm to one vampire will harm the others. So Elijah, Finn, Rebekah andโ€”"

"I think that's all that's dead now." The pair spun to find a raging Klaus standing just next to them and exchanged subtle looks of panic. "I mean, if you're excluding our dearest." He turned his head to the other side of the alleyway, where a feminine figure sat up against the wall with a hanging head of blonde hair and a stained shirt.

"Aurelia?" Stefan was able to recognize her immediately and moved towards her on instinct. "What's wrong with her?" He asked, just as Klaus stood in his way with an evil smile. "What did you do?"

"I did nothing." He replied, raising his arms slightly. "It was all you, Salvatores. You didn't realize that Aurelia's trapped in whatever vendetta you have against my family." His smile dropped, as his eyes darkened. "Which means you're an obstacle I'll have to get rid of."

In simple moments, Klaus pushed past Stefan and Damon to Kol's body and pulled a silver dagger out of his chest, immediately letting it hit the stone ground with a loud clatter. "No!" Damon began to move, but was thrown against a wall rashly.

"What exactly is it that you plan for us?" The Original Hybrid turned his attention back to Stefan, approaching him as he spoke. "I'm sure your little Bennett Witch, Bonnie, couldn't have done all this on her own. All she is by her lonesome is a petty and weak little thing compared to a family of Original Vampires." Stefan stayed still and chose not to respond to him, which only increased the hybrid's anger. "You spit it out now or I'll have your tongue."

Damon took the chance to pounce on and attack him, but hadn't expected to be sensed immediately. As he had jumped, he felt a large hand wrap around his throat and squeeze painfully hard, making him groan as he felt his back hit a wall again. "Oh, come on." He croaked.

"You really think you can face off with me?" Klaus asked, the animalistic fury showing on his features as his eyes began to grow a bright yellow-orange shade. Veins began the swell underneath the skin below his eye, and Damon could only hope that his brother would do something.

Just when Stefan took a step forward, he was kicked down to the ground with a swift and smooth force that he hadn't expected. Attempts to push himself upwards were unsuccessful with a weight on his back that kept him down on the stone floor. "Who the hell- AH!" He yelled out and squeezed his eyes shut when he heard and felt the flesh of his lower back tear with what he thought was a sharp and thin blade.

His chest hit the ground once more as the weight and pain overwhelmed him. "Do you see what I had to do, Stefan?" His movements ceased when he heard Aurelia's slow and gravelly threat come across effortlessly. "If you're in pain now, I doubt you'd like it if I dragged this little dagger up your spine." A vile smirk made its way onto her red lips and she let her thin fingers wrap around the handle of the dagger Klaus had thrown to the ground. "If you really want to test me, though, I wouldn't mind showing you a trial."

"What the hell are you doing?" He asked, turning his head so his cheek was pressed against the ground. She hummed softly and leaned on her hand, which had been applying pressure on his upper back. "He's trying to kill us."

"He will if you don't give us the information we want." She said. "So I highly recommend you or Damon spill." She glanced at her nails, before looking down at his face to wait for an answer. "Aw, really? Nothing? Not even for me?"

"I thought you were on the no-death side, Aurelia." She glanced upwards to look at Damon, who was still pinned to the wall by Klaus. "What happened to all peace?" He asked with the little voice he had left from his crushed throat.

"All peace left the chat as soon as you decided to attack." She answered plainly. "I told Rebekah a while back: I'll do what I have to when one of you actually try to kill us. However, I never did think you had the guts to attack a side with your best friend on it." She looked back at Stefan. "I guess I'll have to take action on my words, then. You know I don't do empty threats."

"I don't, actually." Stefan countered. "I've only seen that 'sweet-girl' side of you. That vulnerableโ€”"

"Don't you dare utter that word." Aurelia hissed, moving her free hand to push his head down to the ground roughly, her calm expression contorting into an aggressive snarl. "Well, Klaus knows, at the very least." Her snarl receded into nothing as if she weren't sitting over a man with a dagger in his back. "What's your plan?"

"Seriously, Aurelia..."

"What?" She asked incredulously. "I'm asking you a question. I'd like an answer as soon as you can respond. I won't have to kill you then." She paused. "However, I'd have to do something because you interfered with my family."

"Carolineโ€”" Aurelia jammed the dagger further into Stefan, cutting him off as she felt the name hit her in another spot of her mind. She kept her thoughts away and only focused on the situation at hand. "GAH!"

"What. Is. Your. Plan?!" She enunciated every single word with a dangerous tone, her eyes boring holes into his skull. "You have 3 counts before I pull this up his spine and push it into his heart. I'm sure the ash of the wood coating the dagger would be like a million stabs to his heart." She chirped, grasping onto the handle of the buried dagger again. "One." She directed her gaze at Damon, implying that he was her new prey. "Two." She pushed the dagger as deep as it could go into Stefan's body, making him yelp and shut his eyes. "...Two and a half..." Klaus snickered as Aurelia's reducing patience. "Two and three quarters..." She bit her lip, before briefly tilting her head and letting out a small sigh. "You asked for it, Damon. Three." She pulled the dagger in one direction as Stefan began to scream and writhe in agonizing pain, much to Damon's dismay.

"She linked all of you!" Aurelia stopped her movements as the words spilled into air. "She used Elena's blood and linked all of you." He stared straight at Aurelia, who had a triumphant smile on her plump lips once she heard him speak. "Turns out she wasn't looking for a family reunion. She hates you all just as much as we do." Damon spat, clearly glaring at the blonde woman. "All." Aurelia pursed her lips for a few seconds, maintaining her line of sight with his piercing light blue eyes just so that she could take a good look at the apparent venom in his gaze.

Damon blinked several times when he saw Aurelia's demeanor falter as a sense of guilt flickered in her storm color eyes. His anger fell immediately and turned into guilt, too, as he realized that he had completely ignored their history and treated her as if she did nothing to benefit them in any way before. "Very well, we have what we require, let us just take Kol and leave." Klaus released his grip from the Older Salvatore, letting him fall to his feet. "Aurelia, let'sโ€”"

"Yeah, I heard you." Aurelia snapped coldly, her attitude changing entirely yet again as she looked down at Stefan. "You and your brother can have yourself," She yanked the dagger out of Stefan's back. "A lovely night." She stood up and handed the weapon over to Klaus, who had been smiling upon her in what seemed like pride.

"Ah, what pleasant and convenient timing." The four heads in the alleyway turned to look at Elijah, who had stood several feet away from Stefan in his usual, decked-up suit. "By the, uh, looks of what just happened here," He looked at Aurelia and Klaus. "I'm sure you know of Esther's plan." Aurelia sarcastically smiled at the obvious assumption. "However, I came to find out that Bonnie Bennett and her mother, in fact, are a part of this. They are the one way to Esther's success and our demise." He then directed his attention towards the two brothers. "So, you two tell me where those witches are or.." He held his phone up. "I'll have my sister kill Elena in the caves right now."

"WOW, SMART." AURELIA CHAFFED as she made herself comfortable in the backseat of Damon's car. "You decided to leave the doppelganger alone, unprotected, and vulnerable to any clutches? It was like you were asking for Elijah to blackmail you with her life." She let out a short laugh. "Oh, seeing you figure out a way to save Elena should turn out to be amusing."

Stefan remained silent and looked out the window, towards the dark surroundings that the car was passing by while Damon focused on the road. "You're ecstatic."

"You're finding a way for my family to live." Aurelia justified nonchalantly. "I couldn't be happier." She drew her tongue over her lips. "I put in effort, and we're one step closer to being safe." Damon let out a small noise that she couldn't make out. "What was that?"

"You tried to kill us." He stated firmly, his grip on the wheel tightening.

"If I wanted to kill you, I would've done it." She argued. "You're lucky I was the one who did it to Stefan. Klaus would've paralyzed him entirely and then killed him, even after you gave him what he wanted." She expressed her words well, so much so that Damon had no counterargument. "I had to do it because you'd die otherwise. You can't hold that against me; I technically saved your asses and haven't complained about the lack of gratitude."

"What about Caroline?"

"Caroline..." Aurelia slowed down, clearly pondering on what she would say next. "...Caroline doesn't have to know. I didn't kill you, end of story. She's my blood, and I'll take care of that myself. I care for her, so I'm not killing you or your gang anytime soon."

"I can't believe you anymore." He mumbled.

"Your choice." She sighed. "I can't change your mind, but I can tell the truth. I did it because it would be more effective in the long run. After all this is put to rest, we'll handle our family matters and will probably leave this boring town. You'll be happy with your shared girlfriend and march off into the sunset together." After a long pause, she spoke again. "So go over your plan once more so I can look for errors." Her command made Stefan inhale loudly and adjust his posture wordlessly. "What?"

"You don't even know the plan." Damon mumbled. "Elijah just sent you to babysit us." Aurelia shrugged at looked at him through the rear-view mirror, as if to rhetorically ask, "So?". "Fine. Since Bonnie and her mother require a cra-zy amount of power to kill the Originals, they decided to channel every dead witch in their bloodline, the Bennett bloodline, to harvest more power." He glanced at her in the mirror. "Unfortunately, you and your family of nut-cases ruined our plan and now we have to stop this spell."

"By killing Bonnie or her mother." Aurelia added on, making the car screech as it suddenly halted. "Why'd you stop?"

"What?" Damon asked in disbelief. "We never agreed to kill her." He continued, clearly shocked by this new piece of information. "How the hell are we supposed to do that?" Aurelia shrugged yet again.

"You sever the line." She replied. "The only way to do that is to make sure that one of them, isn't a witch." Her explanation made Stefan turn his head to look at her. "Oh, I've gotten your attention now." She smiled. "I didn't think you wouldn't know of this."

"We can't kill them."

"Then turn one of them into a vampire if you want them to be alive so bad." She suggested easily. The brothers then exchanged worried looks as she watched panic fly through them uncontrollably. "Don't worry, I'll put this simply for you: Choose who dies between the two; Bonnie, or Elena?"

"Youโ€”" Damon shut himself up and placed his hand on his forehead. "Is it necessary to do it to Bonnie?" Aurelia quirked up an eyebrow. "You said we had to turn one of them. Does it really have to be our little friend? Or can it be her mother?"

"I'm intrigued." She smiled. "Go on."

"AH, SWEET PEACE." AURELIA HUMMED AFTER she spoke, cracking the joints of her neck to relieve herself slightly. "Damon eventually decided to turn Bonnie's mother. I can only imagine how much Bonnie would hate him, Stefan and Elena." She stopped at the top of the stairs. "The plan's done. Esther was unsuccessful in trying to kill us."

"Very well done, Aurelia. I'm glad you were able to supervise them." She smiled at Elijah's words. "Did you watch her die?" Another hum of confirmation left her. "Good. We're safe for now." He mumbled, not caring that Aurelia had caught it. "Niklaus had brought Kol back home, I'm sure he'd be awake by now."

"Your point?"

"Aurelia, you know him well." Elijah began as Aurelia began to frown at the direction of the conversation. "What would he do as soon as he was granted freedom? Temporarily or otherwise?" After a beat, Aurelia had let out a soft breath as realization dawned on her. "He'd flee. He'd relish in the outside world."

"I meanโ€”" Aurelia stopped as she looked upwards to meet a
