James Potter is seated at the bar, looking almost as disheveled and exhausted as his sister. His eyes lift to meet her the second the door closes behind her, and he's on his feet.
And Jo really hates how much she's been crying lately, but when she sees James, there's no use in fighting it. She meets him in the middle, and James hugs her so tightly Jo's feet lift off the ground. "Josie," he greets, "I'm so glad you're okay."
There is something about being there with him, in the hold of her older brother, that makes her feel much safer, much younger, that makes her feel stupid for ever fighting with him. It's James. James that she's known her whole life, James, that's always protected her and respected her. She cries out, "I'm sorry, James. I'm sorry."
She can feel him shake his head. "It's alright, Josie. It's okay."
And it is okay. With James around, it's all okay.
