"He's honestly not that bad... he's just trying to teach us defense. Doing his job, yells a lot but I guess that's his method. Don't tell Charlie I said any of that though, I think Charlie would be mad at me for days." I said.
"Wasn't expecting that from you, but I guess your right. Most of the drama yesterday was between him and Charlie." Adam said.
"Yeah, but I'm still gonna try and get coach to not make me captain and make Charlie captain instead." I said.
"I don't know if that's gonna work
y/n." Adam said.
"You never know, and besides if I manage to, Charlie said he'd buy me dinner." I said.
"So since he's offering you dinner it's achievable?" Adam asked laughing a little.
"Yes, if there's a way I can manage to do it." I said.
"Whatever you say, do you have an idea of something we can do today?" Adam asked.
"I dunno......" I trailed off. "Wait, I got an idea, we should go to that diner Casey works at. I haven't seen her in a while." I said.
"That's actually a pretty good idea, except that's a decent amount of walking." Adam said.
"Exactly, we get there about 4, eat something, leave and get here by about 6." I said.
"I guess that works." Adam said.
"See I told you I'm useful sometimes.....
~
We walked in the door of the diner to see Casey.
"Well hey there y/n and Adam! I was starting to think you guys forgot about me." Casey said as we walked up to the counter.
"How could we ever forget about you?" I said smiling at her. She was honestly amazing, kinda like a 2nd...3rd?...mom.
"You guys want the usual?" She asked. Somehow she managed to remember me and Adam orders perfectly, she was like magic or somethin.
"Yes ma'am." I responded. She smiled and started on our orders.
"So Banks you got anything to do Friday?" I asked.
"No, why?" He asked.
"Our first games on Friday.." I said.
"Right after school?" He asked.
"Mhm-hm." I responded.
"Looks like I'm going to a game on Friday." Adam said.
"Yup, whether you want to or not." I said. He rolled his playfully and we just continued talking about random things til our orders were done. I almost finished mine when the door opened.
"Hey sweetie." Casey said. I looked to see Charlie looking smiley. Wonder what happened to him.
"Hey mom." He said as he walked to the other side of the counter. We finished up our food while Charlie and his momma talked. Finally we left, with a Charlie. He still had that big smile on his face.
"Hey Charlie?" I asked.
"Hm?" He responded.
"What's got you so happy?" I asked.
"Oh nothing... except maybe the fact that Linda agreed to come to our hockey game and go grab something after." Charlie said growing a even bigger smile.
"Yes! You actually got her to agree?" I said happily.
"Yes she agreed, did you think she wouldn't?" Charlie asked.
"I don't know, you didn't make the best first impression." I said.
"Well I did what you said and she wasn't so annoyed by me." Charlie said.
"This is great, my advice actually worked." I said.
"For the first time ever." Adam said. I jokingly hit his arm acting a little offended. We kept walking just talking. I love nights like these. Walking with my boyfriend and best friend, is pretty nice actually. I didn't wanna go back to the stupid school, but it isn't like I have a choice...
