She examined the deeper tone of her skin with pride. "Winter's coming! Looks like my tanning days are some for this year! At least I didn't get any tan lines!"

With that, Granny gathered her belongings and followed her miserable neighbour back inside.

Kala sighed, turning to Gummy. "Sorry about freezing the water, Gummy, but I'm still afraid of it..." She lowered her head in guilt, twiddling her claws with nerves.

"And I still can't swim..." Harry added, embarrassment touching his tone.

"This was the only way..." Kala continued, not having the strength for her emerald eyes to meet Gummy's cobalt ones.

(Y/n) sighed - this wasn't the only way. She had been disagreeing with her sister's selfish actions all day. If you don't like water or can't swim, that doesn't mean you should take the enjoyment of the pool away from someone else...

But Gummy unexpectedly smiled. "That's OK, guys! Because there's only one thing better than a pool full of water!"

His companions observed with interest as Gummy bounced back onto the ice, his feet gently sliding across the frozen liquid.

"An ice skating rink!" Gummy cried, finishing his sentence as he spun his body around as his toes reached the edge of the pool.

Kala smiled at the sight. "I'm not afraid of ice!"

"And I know how to ice skate!" Harry added.

(Y/n) smiled too, being the first to join her boyfriend on the frozen surface of the pool, her paws slipping a little as she grasped her strength into her stance. Gummy smiled, sliding over to take her hand and allow her to join him in a perfect skating sequence.

(Y/n) kept her concentration focused on her movement as her pace increased, fingers intertwining with Gummy's as he kept a tight grip so as not to loose her.

Kala's smile grew with entertainment, raising her legs onto the slippery surface to join her sister and Gummy in their skating adventure. Harry soon followed, joyous laughter filling the humid air of the first day of summer.

"Last one onto the ice is a rotten egg!!"
