I had trouble falling asleep that night. I lay in bed listening to the waves on the beach, and the owls and monsters in the woods. I was afraid once I drifted off I'd have nightmares.
See, for half-bloods, dreams are hardly ever just dreams. We get messages. We glimpse things that are happening to our friends or enemies. Sometimes we even glimpse the past or future. And t camp, my dreams were more frequent and vivid.
I had put the wall back up after Percy and I talked about my situation with Lee. He understood why I didn't tell anyone that we were dating, and he even understood the issue that had happened. Percy knew I was stubborn, and knew that Lee had really fucked up with saying something like that.
The words from earlier rang in my head.
"Okay? You think I want to get hurt?" I asked.
"Sure seems like it with the amount of times its happened."
I wanted to blast some music and get the words out of my ears, but it was past midnight, and Percy and Tyson were asleep, plus the cleaning harpies would eat my ass.
"You have the life! The life almost every half-blood here wants, they want to be powerful, they want to be acknowledged!"
I took the covers off of me and walked over to my work table. Tyson had brought me brand new tools from the Cyclops forges he started working at. I tilted my head and looked up at the drawing that held my last make. The bronze dragon, wings were an option, but we didn't put them on yet, we had to make sure he was stable and working.
The scales were celestial bronze and his eyes ruby. I so badly wanted to go to Bunker Nine and work on him, but I couldn't just leave in the middle of the night, with a freshly stocked woods.
KNOCK KNOCK!
My head snapped to the door. I walked to it and looked out the peephole. Lee.
I sighed before I opened it and stepped outside. I had pajama pants and a hoodie on, but my feet were bare. "What?"
He had bluebells in his hands, freshly grown. The other held a box of white chocolates. "Please, Kiera. Can you forgive me?"
I glanced back at the cabin inside, Percy would kill Lee if he knew he was on the porch. "Sure." I murmured. I was still angry, and I didn't want to forgive him just yet, I just didn't want to let him down and make him feel bad.
His eyes lit up. "Really?"
"Yeah." I hugged him. "I forgive you."
Lie.
He wrapped his arms around me. "Thank you."
"Now." I said. "It's the middle of the night, why are you here? The cleaning harpies are out."
Lee didn't respond. I started to move away, but he held onto me. "Hello?"
He didn't say anything, but his arms around me tightened. I started to struggle against him, I put my hands on his shoulders and tried to push him away, but he was much stronger than me. I kept calling his name, trying to get him to say something when he didn't do anything. I could barely breath his arms were so tight. I couldn't call for help, the harpies were going to eat us.
Something was growing on my legs, rooting us together. I pulled a leg strong enough, and when I turned as much as I could, I saw it was the bluebells that he dropped. They were growing rapidly, and tying me to him.
I stomped my heel onto his foot, and his arms immediately slackened. I jumped backwards and landed on my ass, trying to get back into the cabin, but it was locked. I kept pulling on the handle, trying to get it to open, but it was locked. Please, please, please, please.
"Percy!" I said, knocking on the door. "This isn't funny!"
I heard the knob turning from inside. He was letting me in.
Lee was on the ground, on his hands and knees, watching me. Something was off about him but couldn't place it. His eyes were green, not blue anymore.
The door opened and I fell into my brother's arms, I hadn't realized it, but I was crying. He held onto me and looked out, eyes landing on Fletcher. He scowled and his eyes narrowed. "Get out of here!" Lee's eyes turned back to blue, and widened.
The box of chocolates were on the ground, bluebells all withered. He looked hurt, like he was going to cry, but he sped off to Cabin Seven.
Percy shut the door and locked it. "I tried opening the door," he murmured. "It wouldn't open."
He held me as I sobbed. I couldn't even speak, I was afraid of what had happened, what could've happened. I was left alone with him, who know's what would've happened if I didn't break free. My hands shook as I hugged Percy. He kissed my forehead and we stayed on the floor for a while, until I calmed down.
"Please," I croaked. "Tell me it wasn't real. The flowers. All of it."
"It wasn't."

Percy and I fell asleep in my bed, he was on the other side of the bed, but he was still with me. The wall was retracted so Tyson would also be near.
I had a small update of Leo.
He was in his bed, looking up at the ceiling. "Can't believe I got fucking expelled. 'Cooperation' my ass."
huh?
"I saw her, but I didn't start a damned fire," He muttered. "I may have started the shop, but I've improved. I couldn't have. I was so close, too. Why did I let her go? I finally saw her again. I won't let her out of my sight next time."
"Leo!" Someone called. Another different voice, but still feminine.
"Yes, Ma?" He asked.
"Dinner!"
"Coming!" He got up, but froze for a second. He shook it off and left the room, dream me followed to the desk next to the door. The papers from last time were there, same ones, different setting. My blood chilled when I saw the one I had last time. I finally realized what it was.
My rune.
Then my dream shifted, I was outside on Half-Blood Hill. The grass and mud swallowed my bare feet. EW! I tried to move, but it was hard.
Aw, poor dear. A soft voice cooed.
I had heard that voice before. The first time in Aunty Em's diner, during my first quest. The ground let go of me, and I spun around to see the person, but there was nobody.
So confused. . . She said. So young, innocent. Pure.
"Hey!" Dream me yelled, although it felt all too real. "Where are you!"
The earth trembled as the woman laughed. Everywhere. Anywhere and nowhere.
I sighed. "Fine. Who are you?"
It does not matter to you.
"I'm pretty sure it does," I said. "You're in my dreams. So. . ."
I walked down Half-Blood Hill. It was all too quiet. Not a single light in the cabins were on. It felt emptier than on a normal night. I peeked into the Hermes cabin front window. Nobody was in there. Dead empty. It shouldn't be. . .I walked to Cabin Nine, and same thing.
I frowned as I walked around. The voice was silent. I stepped on something cold, and I looked down. As I lifted my foot, I stumbled backwards. It was a dead bluebell. When I looked up, the grass was filled with them, they grew over the cabin walls of each cabin, covering everything.
"That shouldn't be possible," I muttered. "They don't grow like that. . ."
Oh, but anything is possible with me, the woman said. Join me early. Join Kronos and stay behind their lines, the gods will crumble without you. You all by yourself, could single handedly end their reign.
I shook my head. "No! Why would I do that?"
We could give you anything you wanted.
"No!"
Fine. She sighed. I guess we have to do this the hard way.
And the dream ended.
