Ni-kiโ€™s grip tightened as he carried Jungwon through the dark hallways, his tall frame moving quickly but carefully.

His heart was pounding.

Jungwonโ€™s breathing was too shallow. His body was too limp.

Ni-ki swallowed hard. His mind raced with a million questions.

Who had injected him?
What was in that syringe?
And why did Jungwon look like he was about to fade away?

He clenched his jaw. No. That wasnโ€™t happening.

Not while he was here.

The dorm was just ahead. Just a few more steps.

But thenโ€”

Ni-ki felt it.

A presence.

His instincts screamed at him.

Slowly, he turned his head.

At the far end of the hallwayโ€”a shadow moved.

It was tall. Unnaturally tall.

No features. No face. Just darkness.

And it was watching them.

Ni-kiโ€™s entire body stiffened.

A heavy, suffocating aura filled the air. His breath hitched as the temperature seemed to drop instantly.

The shadow didnโ€™t move.

But Ni-ki knew.

It was waiting.

And if he didnโ€™t get Jungwon out of here right nowโ€”

He forced himself to turn away, ignoring the cold sweat running down his back.

One step.

Then another.

He didnโ€™t dare look back.

Not when he could feel the shadowโ€™s gaze following them.

Back at the Dorm

The door burst open as Ni-ki stormed inside, startling the other members awake.

โ€œWhat theโ€”?โ€ Heeseung immediately sat up. His eyes widened when he saw Jungwon unconscious on Ni-kiโ€™s back.

The room erupted into chaos.

โ€œJungwon?!โ€ Jay was at Ni-kiโ€™s side in seconds. โ€œWhat happened?โ€

โ€œWhy does he look so pale?โ€ Sunghoonโ€™s voice was sharp with concern.

โ€œPut him down hereโ€”hurry,โ€ Jake said, moving blankets aside so Ni-ki could gently lay Jungwon onto the bed.

Ni-ki did as told, but his hands wouldnโ€™t stop shaking.

He felt sick.

โ€œThe hell happened to him?โ€ Sunooโ€™s voice trembled as he pushed Jungwonโ€™s hair back, checking for any injuries.

Ni-ki swallowed, his hands clenching into fists.

โ€œThere was a syringe in his leg.โ€

Silence.

Six pairs of eyes snapped toward him.

โ€œโ€ฆWhat?โ€ Heeseungโ€™s voice was dangerously low.

Ni-ki exhaled sharply, trying to steady himself. โ€œI donโ€™t know who did it. I donโ€™t know what was in it. All I know is that he collapsed andโ€”and there was something down there.โ€

Heeseungโ€™s jaw tightened. โ€œWhat do you mean something?โ€

Ni-kiโ€™s face darkened. His voice came out low and cold.

โ€œSomething was watching us.โ€

No one spoke.

The air in the room turned heavy.

โ€œโ€ฆWhere were you two?โ€ Jay finally asked, his expression unreadable.

Ni-ki hesitated. โ€œIn a hidden basement.โ€

Jakeโ€™s breath hitched. โ€œThereโ€™s a basement?โ€

Ni-ki nodded. โ€œJungwon found a hidden passage. It led to an underground hallway. There wereโ€ฆ cells. Skeletons. Like a prison.โ€ His voice grew quieter. โ€œAt the end of the hall, there was a door.โ€

The boys exchanged uneasy glances.

Sunghoon ran a hand down his face. โ€œYou mean the door? The one from the photo?โ€

Ni-ki nodded. โ€œYeah.โ€ His fingers twitched. โ€œHe was about to open it when I stopped him.โ€

Jay let out a heavy breath. โ€œGood. Who knows what wouldโ€™ve been behind it.โ€

Ni-ki didnโ€™t respond.

He didnโ€™t have the heart to tell them what happened just before they escaped.

The rusty door had opened.

And that bloodstained woman had been inside.

Watching. Smiling.

Like she had been expecting Jungwon.

Ni-ki clenched his fists. He wouldnโ€™t let that thingโ€”whatever it wasโ€”take Jungwon.

Never.

---

Meanwhileโ€ฆ

Jungwon drifted in and out of consciousness.

His body felt weightless.

Distantly, he heard voices. The others. Ni-ki.

But they soundedโ€ฆ far away.

Like he wasnโ€™t really there.

Thenโ€”

A whisper.

Soft. Cold.

Right against his ear.

โ€œI found you.โ€

Jungwonโ€™s eyes snapped open.

Jungwonโ€™s breath hitched. His body remained still, but his mind was awake.

The voiceโ€”it was right beside him.

Cold. Hollow. Wrong.

His fingers twitched against the bedsheets.

Was he dreaming?

Or was something really here?

A slow, rasping breath echoed near his ear.

Jungwonโ€™s body tensed.

He wanted to moveโ€”to screamโ€”but he couldnโ€™t.

His body felt paralyzed.

Thenโ€”

A hand.

Ice-cold fingers slid across his cheek, tracing down to his throat.

Jungwonโ€™s pulse pounded violently.

He could hear itโ€”a sickening giggle.

โ€œYou look just like him.โ€

Who?

Who was she talking about?

Jungwonโ€™s heart nearly stopped when he felt lips brush against his ear.

โ€œI shouldโ€™ve taken you sooner.โ€

And thenโ€”

A sharp pain in his chest.

Jungwon gaspedโ€”his body suddenly jerking upright.

---

Back in Reality

Jungwon shot up from the bed, his chest heaving.

The boys immediately turned to him, their relief instant.

โ€œJungwon!โ€

Sunoo was the first to reach him, hands gripping his shoulders. โ€œAre you okay?! You scared us!โ€

Jungwonโ€™s skin was cold. His breathing was too fast.

Heeseung sat at his side, placing a hand on his back. โ€œYou just passed outโ€”what happened?โ€

Jungwonโ€™s lips partedโ€”but nothing came out.

How was he supposed to explain what just happened?

The voice. The touch.

The way it felt so real.

His throat felt dry.

โ€œโ€ฆI saw her.โ€

The room fell silent.

Jayโ€™s eyes darkened. โ€œWho?โ€

Jungwon shuddered, his hands clutching his chest.

โ€œThe woman.โ€

A tense silence stretched between them.

โ€œShe wasโ€ฆ here?โ€ Jake asked, his voice low.

Jungwon swallowed hard. โ€œI donโ€™t know. It felt like a dream butโ€”โ€ He looked down at his chest, where the sharp pain had been.

His breath hitched.

A faint, red mark trailed across his skin.

Like fingernail scratches.

Jungwonโ€™s body went stiff.

That wasnโ€™t a dream.

Sunghoon cursed under his breath. โ€œWhat the hell is happening?โ€

Ni-kiโ€™s fists clenched. โ€œI told you,โ€ he muttered, his jaw tight. โ€œSomething is after him.โ€

Jungwonโ€™s grip on his blanket tightened.

What did she meanโ€”โ€œI shouldโ€™ve taken you soonerโ€?

And more importantlyโ€”

Who did he look like?

---

Meanwhileโ€ฆ

Beyond the dormitory walls, in the depths of the schoolโ€™s underground prison, the rusty old door creaked open once more.

A pair of bloodshot eyes glowed from the darkness.

A gurgling whisper echoed through the halls.

โ€œFound you.โ€
