The air in the classroom was stale, the dull murmuring of students blending into the distant hum of the outside world. The members sat in their seats, lost in their own thoughts, their minds drifting far from the lesson.

It had been months since they transferred to this new school, but the feeling of emptiness remained.

Jungwon was gone.

No matter how many times they told themselves they had to move on, no matter how much they tried to distract themselves, the ache in their chests refused to fade. They still remembered his smile, his soft laughter, the way he pouted when things didn't go his way, the way he would unknowingly drive them insane with his cuteness.

And worst of all-they still reached out for him sometimes, only to remember he wasn't there.

"Class, we have a new student joining us today," the teacher suddenly announced, snapping them out of their trance.

They barely reacted. Why would they care?

It wasn't like anything would change.

The classroom door creaked open, and the students turned their heads lazily. But then-

Their breath caught in their throats.

A boy stepped in.

His soft brown hair fell slightly over his forehead, the gentle curls framing his delicate face. His cat-like eyes flickered across the room, nervous yet composed, filled with an odd familiarity. His lips were pressed together in a timid expression, his posture tense as if he wasn't sure if he belonged.

The moment they saw him-

Their hearts stopped.

It was him.

"Hello," the boy said softly, his voice gentle, warm, and achingly familiar. "My name is Jungwon. Please take care of me."

Silence.

Utter, complete silence.

The members froze, their eyes wide, their bodies stiff. Their minds screamed at them, telling them that it wasn't possible.

Jungwon was gone.

He had faded away before their very eyes, disappearing into nothingness.

But he was standing right there.

Jungwon tilted his head slightly, confused by the strange tension in the room. His eyes met theirs, and for a fleeting second, something flashed in them. Something deep, something forgotten-like a memory trying to resurface.

"Jungwon..." Heeseung whispered, barely audible.

The boy blinked, his expression puzzled. "Uh... yes?"

Their hearts raced.

It was really him.

But-

Did he remember?

Or was he just a boy with the same name, the same face, the same everything-but with no recollection of the past?

The members exchanged glances, a silent understanding passing between them.

Whether or not he remembered-they wouldn't let him go this time.
