disappointment on his faces but it quickly faded. "Oh, yes sure," he said. "It was nice talking to you, Bree," he was definitely grinning now. And to be honest, I couldn't help but grin as well.

"Same. Bye, Conner!" I said as I waved at him and walked away.

I could still feel his blue gaze on me. For some dumb reason, I turned my head back. Hey, I was curious okay?

And I was right, he was still staring, hands in his pockets as he leaned against the wall next to the classroom door. A small smile tugged at the corner of his mouth.

The second he noticed me though, he turned away with the speed of lightning and got back in class.

I don't know why, but I laughed. This boy filled me with a strange bubbly feeling that made me want to laugh all the time. Maybe it had something to do with him being funny.

Or maybe not.

As I headed to my biology class, I was still thinking about how different that last encounter with Conner was than our first one. It's funny and wierd how fast things can change...
