Chapter 11- A friend in need...
You are an introvert and speaking in front of a big crowd gives you the creeps. They dance, drink expensive cocktails, and ate a lot from the big buffet, mingling with some of their other cousins of Liu Mei.
One of Liu Meis's cousins named, RoWoon from South Korea was totally smitten with you after he asks you to slow dance with him. He was so handsome and charming but Dylan intercept and took you out of his arms in the middle of the dance floor. You were a little annoyed by Dylan's jealousy and rudeness.
Dylan looks at a surprised Rowoon and You." Excuse me ...this is our song Yunru "
You look annoyed and quickly turn to apologize but Dylan was quickly dragging you off the dance floor.
Sana and the other girls were bursting out with laughter when they saw your face. Dylan is a real killjoy. Dylan just smiled smugly at the smirking Ro Woon.
Since the incident, Dylan didn't let anyone dance with you. He made sure he secures all slow dances with him. You just shrugged hopelessly at all the suitors. One of his friends pulled him away to the karaoke bar.
Sana snickered silently where she sat and drink champagne, " Dylan is sure busy tonite, Poorboy really wants to protect you from all the wolves tonite mated or unmated.
You pulled a disgusted face." oh please. it's not funny San, I feel like a convict on parole, his worse than a parole officer."
Everybody just laughs, one of Liu Mei's classmates, name Fangfang stated the obvious" he really must love you Yunru. He is so handsome and popular. I hope you'll be soul mates"
Dahyun giggle, she's a little tipsy" That will be worse...he won't let her out of the house. Dylan is very jealous and clingy. No offense Yunru !"
You agree fully but don't bother to comment on the former statement you only say " non taken"
With what transpires tonight with all the interested young men, you wish with all your heart that you will not be his soulmate. He took his possessiveness to a high level. You'll never enjoy events like these.
You sign and sip on your alcohol-free cocktail " I don't know what got into Dylan"
Liu Mei smiled" I see my cousin Rowoon has taken a liking to you." You just scoff.
Fangfang dreamily" He is so hot. But he is very tall. Did you see how cute Yunru looked in his arms? She didn't even reach shoulders...tell us more about him" Y/n just groans. She wasn't aware that she'll become the honey pot for all the male bees these days.
Liu Mei" Oh Ro is a film producer somewhere in Shanghai. He is 24 yrs and very wealthy. Something tragic happens to him a few years ago and an event that cost ...erm. ...he never really recovered. I don't know all the details, my parents forbid me to ask about it."
Everybody was curious, but Liu Mie couldn't explain further cause her parents called her over to cut the big cake for dessert.
After numerous photos and indulging in sweet treats, the guest was departing. Some needed to be escorted home.
Liu Mei's parents have booked you, Sana, Dahyun, Fangfang, and Dylan together with his two friends in the hotel.
You all decided to enjoy karaoke. Sana, Liu Mei, Dahyun with Fangfang and friends belted out Blood, Sweat, and Tears. You were just sitting and watching with amusement at your friends. Lui Meis 'face is red. Sana and Dahyun are very tipsy.
They were laughing, shouting, and having so much fun singing kpop songs so much that their tummies hurt.
You're sharing a room with Liu Mei. It was almost midnight. Sana and Fangfang were passed out. You and the boys had to help the girls up to their room.
Liu Mei told her parents that she will inform them if anything happens. She hopes she's not really part of the Tarnished community. She wants her destiny to follow her. She knows she will love him so much. She can't wait to meet him.
Inside your and Liu Mei's hotel room, you're busy cleaning and exfoliating your faces and talking about the party. You bought Liu Mei a gift. The full Wings Album set. She better be grateful, cause BTS Merch will definitely make you poorer. She'll open all her gifts the next day.
It's already midnight and both of you are waiting for the appearance of the mark.
Liu Mei with a worried voice" Y/n what if I don't get my mark, it's already 12:10, I'm scared Yunru ."
You look at her with drowsy eyes. " Even if you're a Tarnished, you'll be able to have a choice to love whosoever you want. I'll be jealous until my birthday then we'll be free together"
Liu Mei with tears in her eyes" I don't want to find love, love must find me. I want a soul mark Yunru !!!." You jumped next to Liu Mei in bed and hug her tightly as she sobbed.
You know how much she wants a soulmate. There's no indication of any mark. You feel as devasted as Liu Mei who is inconsolable.
It was already 12:30. Liu Mei was sleeping soundly in your arms. Sleep also befalls you as your eyes were heavy.
You were sleeping soundly and suddenly there was a jolt next to you. The bedding was thrown roughly on the floor. You jolt up from the bed and looked at a panting Liu Mei. Was it food poisoning?
Liu Mei breathlessly holding her the side of her arm which is paining terribly.You quickly switch on the light to attend to a half-sleepy, disoriented Liu Mei.
Liu Mei " My arm hurts Yunru " you look confused at her but lift up her Chimmy pj's sleeve " on her arm sat a light purple-grey mark proudly. You show Liu Mei, she gasped in shock. You both look at each other, instantly wide awake and jumping up and down filled with joy.
Liu Mei excitedly" look Yunru is not a monkey butt!"
You just laugh. "I'm happy for you Liu Mei...now let's sleep please a little more"
Liu Mei full of happiness" oooh ...let me quickly call my parents. This is the best birthday gift ever. Someone design to love me only. I can't sleep now, I have to admire my soul mark for a bit"
You just smile and go back to sleep, but is difficult to fall asleep again. Your wrists feel as if fine needles have been pierced through your skin. It is troubling you greatly. You decided to visit the campus medical center sometime to check it out.
