team? They seem to get on just fine without you." Tang sadly looked down, seeing his friends having fun performing in front of the crowd. "Don't take it personally, Tang." Tang looked back up at Macaque with a sad frown. You only glared at Macaque, still trying to fight your way out of his shadow clones' grip. "Your buddy Wukong values people by how useful they are to him. Take it from me, as an expert on what happens when you get too close to the King" Macaque paused for a moment, scowling. He hit his fist against the dragon statue that held the ring, making a crack in it. "Look out for number one, because if you don't, no one will." Macaque turned back over to Tang. "Why do you think Y/N looks uncomfortable with him? Don't act like you haven't seen it." You scowled at Macaque, silently begging for him to not continue with where he was going. Macque laughed mockingly, speaking with a snarky and annoyed tone. "I'll tell you why. After he abandoned me, they left him. They didn't want to be the next thrown away and forgotten hero, so they abboned him before he abandoned them. They hid in the mortal and celestial realm out of fear of being left in the dust. Isn't that right Y/N?" Your glare soften, and you looked away with an uneasy stare to the wall of the lanter, as Macaque's eyes burned into the side of your head. You stared at the ground, your body going slightly limp as you paused you fight with the shadow clones that pinned you down. Tang stared at you in shock and disbelief.

"T-That can't be true! There's now way.. Right?" Tang yelled, looking at you with wide eyes. You huffed, and kicked a shadow clone off you, it disintegrating into purple smoke. You did that with the rest of the clone, jumping to your feet when they stopped coming. You growled at Macaque, who only snickered in return, his tail swishing behind him. He was clearly pleased to get this reaction out of you, and it only infuriated you more. Tang looked to the ground, before grabbing a crumpled up paper on his side. He opened it, and stared at it with a determined expression as he started to stand. He clenched it in his hands, as he started speaking, getting yours and Macaque's attention. His breath was shaky, as he lightly trembled. "You're wrong. I know I'm not as strong as they are." He let go of the drawing, and it blew in the breeze, flying in the lantern. "I may still be searching for my purpose, but when I do know is that doing it alone is not the path I'm destined to take." He hit his hand against his chest as he continued. "Deep in my heart, I know that my place is alongside my friends. And one day-" The drawing flew in front of Macaque, making him quickly snatch it and look at it. He then looked back at Tang, who stood and spoke confidently. "-I will become someone they can depend on, the way I can always depend on them." He moved his foot to the side, as his scarf and outfit swayed lightly in the breeze. "As long as we stand together-" He threw his hand back, and looked at Macque with a determined stare, as his glasses glistened. "-There will always be hope!"

A loud voice came from below you, and your eyes widened in shock. Was that Pigsy!? Damn, Sandy was right when he said Pisy sang really well. Macaque visibly recoiled in pain from the noise, and it managed to slightly tug at your heart strings. You remembered always comforting Macque with loud noises back in the day, at a time when you two were close. You had always felt bad about his sensitive hearing. Macaque still didn't waste any time going to punch Tang. You were about to interfere, until Tang used his arms to cover his face and made a golden force field around himself. Your eyes widened, and the impact sent you all flying into the air. Loud electricity sparks flew around the lantern, making your face pale. The lantern was about to go off! Tang noticed this as well, and nodded towards you. You nodded back and grunted as you summoned your chins and threw him towards the ring in the middle of the dragon statue. He quickly grabbed it, as the lantern swug in the other direction. You and Tang were launched out of the lantern, Tang losing his grip on the ring. The city below you both lit up, and you momentarily stared down at it in awe. You attention was quickly turned to Macaque, as he held onto the dragon statue for dear life, before finally realizing the lantern was about to light up. Your eye widened, and Macaque snapped his head towards you. You actually managed to catch a look of fear in them. Your vision flickered from the present Macaque, to his younger self, looking at you with tears as he was holding his hands against to his ears. You screamed his name in worry, before falling with Tang.

Luckily Pigsy caught Tang in his arms, and you summoned your star at just the right time to catch you as well. Everyone yelled out in happiness at the sight of the ring, as you jumped from your star and to the floor. MK and Mei quickly went up to you, and hugged your side. "Y/N! Y/N! Did ya see us!?" MK beamed, and you shakily nodded, patting both of their heads. "Y-Yep. I did." Tang laughed nervously, gaining everyone's attention. "Guys, Macaque is here. He's after the Rings." Tang held the ring in the air, as you nodded. You glanced back up at the lantern, seeing it glow a sinister blue. Your breath slightly hitched at the sight. You yelped as MK and Mei then pulled at your sleeves, and dragged you with them to the monorail. You all rushed into it, just before it took off. MK and the others quickly wiped their face paint off and MK pulled you towards the window. "If Macaque knows about the rings-!" "He'll stop at nothing to get his hands on them." Wukong finished, as you stared at the lantern that now glowed an eire blue. A knot formed in your stomach. One of worry for you and your friends, and of worry for Macaque.

(Hello! I am alive and well. (I know, shocker considering how long it took me to update this book) I have no good excuse to why I haven't updated. Mainly because of lack of motivation and procrastination, and just doing other things. I'm also currently trying to work a bit on my newest LMK book, and go in and write in it with more of a clear picture for the plot, and try and make an actual plot for my LMK x Child reader book. I've also been working on my oneshots for my Undertale Au Oneshots book. Also just dealing with life in general. I'm going to a new school this year, and it starts in a month for me. (Wish me luck ๐Ÿคž) So yeah. I'll try to update when I can at that time, because I know I'll be doing a lot more work at that school, and it will be one of my biggest challenges. Anyways, I hope you all are having a great day/or night whenever you're reading this, and I'll see you in the next update!)

(Edit: I was messing around with yandere Macaque character ai, and he said this
