walked across the terrace, trying to appear calm, but the deep ache in his chest made it impossible. He found his way to Arav, standing near the railing, silently observing the group. The air felt heavier now, like the weight of unspoken words was pressing down on him.

His thoughts were interrupted when his eyes instinctively went toward the entrance. He saw Siya stepping onto the terrace, and it was like time had slowed. Her appearance was striking - she wore a sleeveless, knee-length gown that shimmered under the soft lights. The fabric hugged her form in all the right places, a deep midnight blue that contrasted with her fair skin, the neckline a delicate sweetheart shape that accentuated her features. Her hair cascaded in soft waves, falling over her shoulders, framing her face with an elegant softness. The gown swayed with her every movement, and the soft gleam of her makeup highlighted her sharp features, her eyes reflecting a sense of urgency as they scanned the crowd. She looked breathtaking, yet there was a quiet sadness about her that Shashwat couldn't ignore.

His breath caught in his throat as his mind immediately traveled to the words Rahi had shared with him. The memories flooded him, and for a split second, the vision of her sitting in the dark, waiting for him, flashed before his eyes. He quickly wiped away the tears that threatened to spill from the corners of his eyes, not wanting anyone to see the weakness he felt.

Siya's gaze met his from across the room. For a brief moment, their eyes locked, and something flickered between them-pain, understanding, maybe even regret-but just as quickly, she looked away, her attention shifting to the sound of Kabir calling her.

Shashwat's heart clenched in his chest, and before he could stop himself, the words slipped out.

"Isse kisne bulaya?" he asked sharply, his voice tight, almost as though he couldn't control the frustration rising within him. His teeth were gritted, and his fists clenched at his sides as he looked at Arav.

Arav, always the calmer of the two, just shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly, unfazed by Shashwat's tone. "Maybe Reyansh," he replied. "Actually, Tara maa ne kaha tha ki ye do din yahin hai toh we should call him too."

Reyansh and Akash approached him, exchanging a mischievous look. They acted nonchalant, as if Shashwat wasn't paying attention.

Shashwat stood leaning casually against the pillar, scrolling through his phone. He seemed calm, but his ears were sharp, catching every word as Reyansh and Akash approached from behind. They exchanged a sly glance, ready to execute their plan.

"Vaise Akash, tujhe pata? Mummy ko Kabir pasand aa gaya hai," Reyansh began, his voice loud enough to ensure Shashwat could hear.

Akash acted surprised. "Really? Achha ladka hai Kabir. Siya aur Kabir ka jodi waise bhi perfect lagega. Kitna caring hai Kabir uske liye. Siya ke liye toh kuch bhi kar sakta hai."

Shashwat's grip on his phone tightened, though he kept his face neutral, pretending to scroll.

Reyansh smirked and continued, "And ab to Shashwat Siya ke beech kuch hai nahi to ab koi problem hi nahi hai Siya ko kabir se shadi karne me."

Shashwat's chest tightened at the words. He frowned slightly, but quickly schooled his expression. He didn't want to give away that he was listening.

"Aur Siya bhi Kabir ke saath kitni comfortable lag rahi thi na." Akash added, his voice deliberately loud.

Reyansh nodded enthusiastically. "Bilkul! Siya aur Kabir ka ek moment dekha maine, Kabir ne Siya ke liye khana laya abhi, aur Siya kaise uske liye smile kar rahi thi. Sab dekh rahe the unhe, aur lag raha tha ki wo ek doosre ke liye hi bane hain."

Shashwat's jaw clenched as jealousy began to brew inside him. His mind started racing. Kabir aur Siya? "Even her mom is agreeing to the marriage?" The thought made his heart sink, though he maintained his indifferent posture.

Shashwat's patience was wearing thin. He shoved his phone into his pocket and turned away slightly, as if disinterested. But inside, his thoughts were in turmoil.

Reyansh and Akash exchanged victorious smirks, noticing Shashwat's clenched fists and stiff shoulders. They knew their plan to make him jealous was working.

As they walked away, Reyansh whispered to Akash, "Lagta hai plan successful ho raha hai."

He inhaled deeply, trying to calm the storm within him. But the jealousy and the fear of losing Siya were too strong to ignore. Without a word, he went inside lost in his thoughts.

Siya walked into the garden area of the palace, her eyes scanning the crowd for Shashwat. She stopped abruptly when she saw him standing by the fountain, smiling at something Kanak had said.

Siya felt her chest tighten. She blinked, trying to mask the sting of hurt, but the image in front of her made it impossible. Shashwat, the man who had once been her entire world, now stood so comfortably with another woman.

Kanak keep her hand on his shoulder with a soft smile, and Siya's heart sank further. She clenched her fists, willing herself to look away, but her feet stayed rooted to the ground.

"Of course, he's moved on," she thought bitterly. "Why wouldn't he? Three years is a long time. And I... I'm just stuck in the past."

Shashwat, as if sensing something, glanced in her direction for a fleeting moment. His smile faded briefly, and his expression grew unreadable.

Siya's throat tightened, and she quickly looked away, pretending to check her phone. She couldn't bear to watch anymore.

Ritika, who had just arrived, noticed Siya's tense posture and followed her line of sight. Understanding dawned on her face.

"Siya?" Ritika called softly, placing a hand on her shoulder.

Siya turned to her sister, quickly masking her emotions with a forced smile. "I'm fine," she said, though her voice trembled slightly.

Ritika frowned. "You don't have to pretend with me. I can see it in your eyes."

"I said I'm fine," Siya insisted, her tone firmer this time. She didn't trust herself to say more without breaking down.

Turning abruptly, Siya made her way inside the house, leaving Ritika staring after her with concern.

Meanwhile, Shashwat's gaze involuntarily shifted toward the door Siya had just walked through. His heart clenched at the sight of her retreating back. He knew that look in her eyes-it mirrored his own pain.

Kanak noticed his distraction and smirked at she turned her head towards the gate.

"Shashwat I should leave....I am getting late." Kanak said and Shashwat nodded.

"Good night." Kanak wishes him and left from there.

Siya rushed to the room. She closed her mouth with her palms as her breaths came out uneven. Her vision blurred with tears she had been holding back for too long.

She sank onto the edge of bench, her hands trembling as she clasped them together. Her mind replayed the scene in the garden-the way Shashwat smiled at Kanak, the comfort in their body language.

"Why does it hurt so much?" she whispered to herself, her voice breaking.

Her thoughts spiraled uncontrollably. She had no right to feel this way. She was the one who had distanced herself. And yet, seeing him with Kanak felt like someone had ripped her heart out and crushed it beneath their feet.

Divya walked briskly, balancing a tray of glasses that clinked softly with each step. Darsh rounded the corner at the same time, carrying a box of decorations. Both were too preoccupied to notice each other until the inevitable happened.

"Ahh!" Divya gasped as the tray tilted, sending a glass teetering dangerously toward the edge. Darsh moved instinctively, dropping the box and stepping forward to steady her. His hand shot out, grabbing her wrist to prevent the tray from falling completely. The sudden momentum pushed them both against the wall, with Darsh's chest pressed to her front and his hand firmly against the wall beside her head.

The world seemed to stop for a moment.

Divya's breath hitched, her wide eyes locking onto his. Her heart pounded in her chest like a drum, and she couldn't seem to form a coherent thought. She had never been this close to Darsh before. His proximity, the warmth radiating from him, and the intensity in his gaze left her frozen.

Darsh, on the other hand, was equally startled. He hadn't meant to pin her against the wall like this, but now that he was here, he found himself unable to look away. For the first time, he truly noticed the subtle curve of her lips, the faint blush rising in her cheeks, and the soft vulnerability in her eyes. His breath caught in his throat.

Why did this feel so familiar?

A memory surfaced unbidden. Vihaan's teasing voice from years ago echoed in his mind. "Kahin wo letter Divya ne toh nahi likha?"

Darsh had laughed it off back then, brushing aside the absurdity of the suggestion. Divya? he had thought. No way. But now, standing this close to her, the pieces didn't seem so far-fetched anymore. The feeling stirring within him, the familiarity of it, mirrored something he had only felt once before-with that nameless girl who had left him enchanted and confused.

Still holding her gaze, his hand moved almost unconsciously. Slowly, he raised it, his palm stopping just before her face, covering the portion from her nose to her mouth. His eyes searched hers as a wave of realization threatened to break over him.

Divya, too, was motionless, her breath shallow and uneven. She didn't understand what he was doing, but the intensity in his eyes made her pulse quicken even more. "Darsh..." she whispered, her voice barely audible, her lips brushing against his palm with the movement.

Without thinking, she lifted her foot and stomped it hard onto his.

"Ow!" Darsh yelped, stumbling slightly, his face contorted in surprise and pain. He jumped back, holding his foot. "W-what are you doing? Pagal hai kya!" His eyes widened as he looked at her, still wincing.

Divya's eyes shot daggers at him, her anger replacing the heat that had surged earlier. "K..kya pagal? Your foot was about to injure me!" Darsh exclaimed, slightly flustered but still trying to regain his composure. "Ek toh bachao, upar se akad dikhati hai," he muttered under his breath, not backing down.

"Chat nikal," Divya growled, pushing him lightly with both hands on his chest, trying to create some space between them.

Darsh, feeling the sting of her push, retaliated in his own way. "Tu nikal na," he said, nudging her shoulder back with a little more force, not trying to harm her, but to show his irritation.

Divya rolled her eyes and turned on her heel, storming off. The tension between them was thick, yet she couldn't shake the image of his face from her mind. The heat that had rushed through her moments ago was now replaced by the weight of their brief encounter.

As soon as Divya was out of his sight, she let out a long, shaky breath. She leaned against a nearby pillar for a moment, trying to calm herself, her heart still hammering in her chest.

Meanwhile, Darsh stood there, rubbing his foot as the discomfort lingered. His gaze was fixed on the spot where she had just stood, his mind still reeling from the proximity and that strange, inexplicable connection he felt earlier.

"Are you nuts?" he muttered to himself, shaking his head in disbelief. "Ye kaise ho sakti hai... kuch bhi sochne laga hai..." He clenched his fist and then let it fall to his side. "I'm losing it."

With a deep sigh, he turned and walked off in the opposite direction, trying to clear his head. But the image of Divya, her fiery gaze and the rapid flutter of her pulse, lingered in his mind, making him question everything he thought he knew.

The night felt suffocating with the weight of emotions Shashwat could no longer hold inside. As he stood on the edge of the terrace, his eyes never left Siya. Every movement she made, every word spoken, dug deeper into his chest. The jealousy within him burned like an untamed fire, its heat so intense that he could no longer ignore it. The realization hit him hard-he couldn't lose her. Not now, not after everything she had sacrificed for him, not after learning how deep her love for him truly ran. He was selfish, possessive, but in that moment, all he could think about was claiming her-before someone else did.

The sound of a cheerful melody filled the air, a playful tune that contrasted with the storm raging in Shashwat's chest. Kabir, with a wide grin on his face, approached Siya and extended his hand, a silent invitation for a dance. For a moment, Shashwat's heart stopped. His eyes narrowed, and before anyone could say a word, he acted on impulse.

Without thinking, he strode across the room, his steps quick and deliberate. The crowd parted as Shashwat reached them. In a swift motion, he grabbed Siya's hand and pulled her toward him, causing her to gasp in surprise. Her eyes widened as she looked at him, but he didn't care. His focus was on her-on the way her body felt against his as he yanked her into a dance.

The suddenness of his actions caught everyone off guard. The room fell silent for a moment, and then murmurs began to ripple through the crowd. Akash, ever the observer, caught sight of the scene and gave a silent thumbs-up to Ritika, who grinned in approval. It was clear they had anticipated this moment.

Reyansh, feeling awkward , quietly stepped away, not wanting to watch her sister and best friend's romance.

Siya, still in shock from Shashwat's bold move, tried to regain control. "Shashwat! Ye aap kya kar rahe hain?" she asked, her voice trembling with confusion "And didn't Kanak ask you for a dance?" Her voice faltered, and it was clear she was hurt by his actions, even if she couldn't fully understand them.

But Shashwat wasn't listening to her words; he was consumed by his own turmoil. His chest tightened with frustration, and he felt his grip on her waist tighten as he pulled her even closer. His voice dropped to a hushed whisper, a declaration filled with passion and desperation. "No matter how much distance comes between us, I won't let a third person come between us-neither in my life, nor in yours," he muttered, his gaze dark and intense, focused solely on her.

His eyes shot a fiery glare toward Kabir, who stood frozen, watching the scene unfold. Shashwat's jealousy radiated from him like a burning force, one that he couldn't contain any longer. His hand on Siya's waist was possessive, not allowing her any space between them. Every word, every movement was a claim, as if he was marking his territory in a way that only he could.

The song began, its soft but intense rhythm filling the air as Shashwat gently held Siya's hand, guiding her into his embrace. The chemistry between them was undeniable as they swayed together, lost in the music. His hand rested firmly on her waist, while hers draped over his shoulder. As the lyrics began, their dance mirrored the emotions they felt for each other.

"Janam janam janam sath chalna yunhi

Kasam tumhe kasam aake milna yahi

Ek jaan hai bhale do badan ho juda

Meri hoke hamesha hi rehna

Kabhi na kehna alvida"

Shashwat's hand on her waist pulled her closer, making her heart race. His eyes locked with hers, filled with a possessive intensity, as if every step he took was a promise that she would always be by his side.

Siya, still processing the warmth of his touch, allowed herself to be lost in the moment. As they moved together.

"Meri subah ho tumhi

Aur tumhi sham ho

Tum dard ho tum hi aaram ho

Meri duaon se aati hai bas yeh sada

Meri ho ke hamesha hi rehna

Kabhi na kehna alvida"

The music swelled, and their bodies began to move more passionately. Shashwat's fingers traced the curve of her back as he pulled her closer, his chest pressing against hers. Siya's breath hitched in her throat as she felt the heat between them intensify.

Siya, feeling the overwhelming emotions of the moment, responded by wrapping her arms around him, her body melting into his as she followed his lead. She felt the depth of his feelings in every step they took, in the way his hand tightened on her waist, the way his eyes searched hers as if seeking reassurance that she felt the same.

"Teri bahon mein hai mere dono jahan

Tu rahein jidhar meri jannat wahi

Jal rahi aggan hain jo yeh do tarfaa

Na bujhe kabhi meri mannat yahi

Tu meri arzoo, main teri aashiqui

Tu meri shayari, main teri mausiqi"

The song's intensity grew as Shashwat took a step back, turning Siya in his arms. As he spun her, his eyes never left her face. Siya, completely lost in the moment, followed his lead with grace, her body flowing in sync with his. She was in her own world now.

"Talab talab talab bas teri hai mujhe

Nashon mein tu nasha

bann ke ghulna yoonhi

Meri mohabbat ka karna tu hak ye adda

Meri ho ke hamesha hi rehna

Kabhi na kehna alvida"

He spun her again, but this time, she landed with her back to his chest. His hand slid up her arm, his touch lingering, before turning her back to face him.

She placed her free hand on his chest. With a sharp step, he guided her into a cross-body lead, their bodies brushing as they passed each other. He held her hand firmly, grounding her, refusing to let her go.

"Meri subah ho tumhi

Aur tumhi shaam ho

Tum dard ho tum hi aaram ho

Meri duaon se aati hai bas yeh sada

Meri ho ke hamesha hi rehna

Kabhi na kehna alvida"

Shashwat initiated a series of quick spins. Siya's movements were fluid, her hair cascading around her as she twirled. When he pulled her back, his hand cupped her face, their foreheads almost touching.

Their steps slowed momentarily, transitioning into a close hold. His arm wrapped securely around her waist, his fingers splayed against her back. Her hand slid up to his neck, their movements becoming slower, more deliberate, as they swayed to the music.

He brought her back up, spinning her into an intricate arm movement where their hands intertwined above her head. The spin ended with Siya's back pressed against his chest once again, his lips dangerously close to her ear. His whisper was inaudible over the music, but the heat of his breath against her skin made her shiver.
