"Hamare peeche mat aao koi!!" Siya shrieked, panic creeping into her voice as she pushed herself harder, her feet barely touching the ground.
"Kyun na aaye?!" Shashwat shot back, his voice ragged with exertion, but filled with unwavering resolve.
A sharp gasp left her lips. A hand brushed against her shoulder.
"Siya bhaago mat, aaram se baat kar sakte hain!" Shashwat called out, trying to reason.
"Ham bewakoof nahi hain aur yahan apka debate nahi chal raha jo baat karenge!" Siya yelled back, increasing her speed.
Divya Arushi Kanak and Shashwat were all running at full speed, some determined to snatch the shoes and some to help Siya.
The cameraman, who was initially following them to record the madness, somehow ended up in front of them.
Now, the scene had completely flipped,
The cameraman was running ahead, desperately trying to avoid getting trampled, while everyone else was running behind him. And the reason was a street dog joined in.
Out of nowhere,
Now, the order of the chase had completely changed:
Now everyone running for his life.
"Sab ek side khade ho jao?!" Reyansh yelled, glancing at the dog.
"Haan phir sabko dekh ke dar ke bhag jayega!!" Akash shrieked, picking up his pace.
Finally everyone moved Aside in a group and Dog ran away.
Siya seeking a chance again started running. Akashβs voice rang in her ears, laced with exaggerated drama.
"Siya, hey Bhagwan! Ye kya ho gaya?!" he exclaimed, clutching his chest as if he had just witnessed the most tragic event of the century.
Siya frowned, momentarily distracted. Her grip on the shoes loosened just a fraction as she turned to see what had happened.
Before she could even process, a strong hand shot out.
With one swift, well-calculated move, Shashwat yanked one shoe straight out of her grasp.
"Aaaaaaa!" Siya gasped, her head snapping toward him, eyes burning with fury.
Shashwat merely smirked, holding the shoe up in triumph.
But the betrayal wasnβt over yet.
Siya had barely started to yell at him when she felt another tu, this time from the other side.
Akash seized the moment. In the blink of an eye, he grabbed the second shoe right from her hands.
"Yeyyye!!" he whooped victoriously, holding the shoe high above his head like a prized trophy.
Siya froze, her mouth falling open in pure disbelief. For a moment, she was too stunned to react.
"Cheater!! Yeh rule mein nahi tha!!" she burst out, eyes blazing as she turned to glare at them.
Both boys immediately took a step back, exchanging smug grins like they had just won the battle of the century.
"Ab kya karegi, Siya?!" Akash teased, tossing the shoe up in the air and catching it with ease, his eyes twinkling mischievously.
Siyaβs nostrils flared. Her fists clenched at her sides. Her whole body buzzed with frustration.
And then, she snapped.
"CHOR! CHEATERS!!!" she bellowed, her voice ringing across the open space.
With a fierce determination burning in her veins, she lunged straight at them, ready to snatch back what was rightfully hers.
"Siya roko dono ko!!" Reyanshβs voice boomed across the open space, sheer panic laced in his tone as he sprinted towards the unfolding chaos.
Akash and Shashwat barely had time to react before they found themselves running for their lives, the stolen shoes still in their possession.
"Bhaiya, sambhalna! Haath mat aana!!" Darsh cackled, easily keeping pace beside them, thoroughly enjoying the spectacle.
"Siyaaa!! pakad unhe!!" Richaβs voice rang loud and clear, filled with unwavering support as she sprinted after them, Divya hot on her heels.
"Bhaiya, jaldi bhago! Wo pakad legi aap log ko!" Arushiβs urgent warning came from behind as she too joined the chase.
The sound of frantic footsteps, mixed with breathless shouts and uncontrollable laughter, filled the air.
Siya lunged straight at Akash, her fingers just inches away from the shoe he held. But at the last second, Akash twisted his body to the side, narrowly dodging her grasp.
"Arre arre arre!! Shaanti!! Shaanti!!" Akash yelped, laughing like a maniac as he waved his hands in exaggerated surrender while taking quick steps back.
Siya, however, was in no mood for games. She nearly had him. Her fingers grazed the shoe,
And then, A blur of movement. Out of nowhere, a hand shot forward and snatched the shoe right from Akashβs grip.
"Lele!!" Reyanshβs triumphant voice rang in the air as he held the shoe up, grinning like a victorious warrior.
For a second, Akash stood frozen, his brain struggling to process what had just happened.
Then, his jaw dropped.
"Gaddar Aadmi??!" he exclaimed, scandalized.
Reyansh merely smirked. "Khud to bada Satyawadi Harishchandra ka fufa hai na."
Before Akash could retaliate, Arushi darted toward Reyansh, eyes set on the shoe. She reached out, trying to snatch it from his grasp,
But before her fingers could close around it, another figure came barreling forward at full speed.
Darsh.
With a perfectly timed move, he yanked the shoe from Reyanshβs hand and jumped back, holding it high above his head.
"Ab kya kehna chahenge, Jijaji?!" Darsh declared dramatically, his laughter echoing through the chaos. He then lifted his other hand, revealing the second shoe. His grin widened. "Ab dono mere paas hain!!"
For a brief moment, he basked in his victory, standing tall like a warrior who had just conquered the battlefield.
The moment was short-lived.
"Pakad Usse!!!" Richaβs scream tore through the air like a battle cry.
Darsh barely had a second to react before, Divya came flying at him from the side.
"AAAHH!" Darsh yelped, staggering as she grabbed onto the shoes, gripping them tightly from the other side.
"Oyy Chhor de!!" he yelled, trying to tug them back.
"Nahi chhorungi!! Kya kar lega?!" Divya snapped, tightening her hold, her feet firmly planted to the ground.
"Chhod de!! Bata raha hoon, chhod de warna acha nahi hoga!!" Darsh gritted out, pulling with all his strength.
"Nahi???" Divya scoffed, throwing him a mocking glare. "Kya Kar Lega?? Kha Jayega?? Vaise bhi tu BAKASUR to hai hi!!"
Darsh gasped. "Haan?! Aur tu kya karegi?? TADKA!!" he shot back, his grip unrelenting.
Their war escalated in seconds.
Both pulled with full force, twisting and turning, their arms straining as they engaged in what could only be described as an intense tug-of-war match.
"Darsh yaar kya kar raha bhag na cheen ke!! Kis kaam ki body banai bhai?!" Arushi groaned in frustration, throwing her hands up.
But Darshβs grip slipped. With an unexpected burst of strength, Divya yanked the shoes away, the sudden momentum causing her to stumble backward.
"Ye Kar lungi, baklolchand!! Bade aaye panga lene wale!!" Divyaβs victorious scream pierced the air as she shot up, holding the shoes high above her head like a championship trophy. Her face g
lowed with triumph.
Darsh, utterly betrayed by fate, groaned in frustration. "Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Skeletonsur kahin ki!"
But Divya wasnβt sticking around to argue.
Without missing a beat, she turned and bolted.
"Iska game bajata hoon!! RUKKK!!!" Darsh bellowed, his frustration hitting an all-time high as he bolted forward.
But it was too late.
Divya was already gone, sprinting away at full speed, the shoes still clutched tightly in her hands like they were her lifeline.
For a solid five seconds, it looked like she had secured victory for the girlsβ team.
Until, She ran straight into something or rather, someone.
The impact was so sudden and forceful that Divya practically bounced off, stumbling backward like a ping-pong ball.
"Whaβ?!" she gasped, blinking rapidly.
It took her a second to register what had just happened.
And then she saw Vihaan standing there, smirking like he had been waiting for this exact moment.
"Arre tuβ?!" Divya barely got the words out when Vihaan made his move.
With a swift, calculated motion, he snatched the shoes right out of her hands before she could even react.
"Joote Mil Gaye Ladke Valon!!" Vihaanβs triumphant voice rang through the air, his arms raised high as if he had just won the World Cup.
The entire boysβ team erupted into cheers.
Divya, still reeling from the collision, stood there blinking in sheer disbelief.
"Abbe!! TuM kahan se tapak gaye?!" she blurted out, completely scandalized.
Vihaan shot her a cocky grin. "Left side se."
He was so smug. So annoyingly smug.
Divya clenched her fists.
But before she could even plot her revenge, something happened that no one saw coming.
A blur of motion.A swift hand darted in from the side
And in the blink of an eye, the shoes were gone.
Vihaanβs smirk instantly vanished. His eyes snapped to his empty hands.
"Kahan gaya?!"
Then, he saw her. Kanak.
Standing a few feet away, holding up the shoes like a thief who had just pulled off the greatest heist of all time.
A huge, victorious grin spread across her face.
"Kisne kisko loota, kiska matha phoota!!" Kanak sang, laughing like a maniac as she dashed away at full speed.
Vihaan stood frozen for a solid second, his brain still struggling to process what had just happened.
From behind, Darsh shook his head in irritation. "Gadhe!! Lekar bhag nahi sakta tha kya?!" he mocked.
Vihaan whipped around. "Yaar maine socha nahi liβ"
"Kanak!! Ruko!!!" Akashβs voice rang out as he and half the boys took off after her.
Kanak was crouched behind a parked car, panting hard, her chest rising and falling rapidly. Sweat trickled down her forehead as she clutched the shoes tightly, trying to calm her racing heart.
"Bach gaye!" she thought, trying to steady her breathing.
Just then, a soft whirr of the car window rolling down made her freeze.
Before she could react, a hand shot out from inside the car and snatched the shoes.
The shoes were gone.
"BYEEEEE!!" came a familiar, mischievous voice.
Kanakβs head snapped up, eyes widening in horror as she saw Shashwat sitting inside the car, smirking like a victorious villain.
"SHASHWAT!" she screeched.
Shashwat winked at her through the windshield, started the car, and pressed the accelerator.
Kanakβs reaction was pure instinct. She bolted onto the carβs roof, clutching it tightly as the vehicle jerked forward.
As Shashwat drove off, still oblivious to the extra passenger on his roof, the others scrambled into action.
Siya and Richa dived into the car from which Siya had originally come, slamming the doors shut.
Akash, who was a few feet behind, quickly hopped onto his bike and roared after them.
Darsh was left standing alone on the road.
He blinked.
Then he waved both hands frantically. "Arre, meko bhi le chalo yaar!" he shouted.
But Akash had already disappeared.
Just then, Vihaan rolled up with his cycle. He skidded to a stop next to Darsh, his face smug.
"Iss se aa jaa," Vihaan said casually, gesturing to the cycleβs backseat.
Darsh stared at him. Vihaan rang the tiny cycle bell. Tring tring!
Darsh sighed. "Joote pyaare hai, izzat nahi," he muttered before hopping onto the backseat.
Vihaan grinned and started pedaling.
Behind them, Arushi and Divya tore through the streets on a scooty, followed by Reyansh, who sped in his car, and, at last, the cameraman with his drone, capturing the entire madness from above.
Inside the car, Shashwat hummed a tune, pleased with his smooth getaway.
Loud thuds came from above.
Shashwat flinched. "Ye kya tha?β
Again he heard someone banging on the car's roof.
He heard a voice screaming, "SHASHWAT!!"
His eyes widened in realization.
"KANAK?!" he shouted, looking at the roof.
Kanak banged the roof again.
Shashwat immediately pulled the car to a stop. "Abhi accident ho jata toh?!"
Kanak quickly slid down and yanked open the passenger door, collapsing inside.
She huffed, pushing her curls out of her face. "Mai bhi Army me hun itni training mili hai! Khair mujhe shoes dhoondhne do"
Her eyebrows knitted together. The shoes werenβt inside.
Her head snapped toward Shashwat. "Joota do joota do!!"
Shashwat smirked. "Mai ladkiyon pe haath bhi nahi uthata, toh joota uthana to soch bhi nahi sakta. Ram ram paap hai ye"
Kanak rolled her eyes. "Wah, wah. Bahut acha joke tha. Apni Mishti ko sunana, tum dono miya-biwi hi ek doosre ke lame jokes pe haso. Mujhe nahi aayi hansi. Ab batao shoes kahan hain?"
Shashwat leaned back lazily. "Arre, wahi kahin honge⦠maine jaldbazi me yahin phek diya tha."
Kanak glared. "Jaldbazi me phek diya tha?! Matlab?!"
But before he could answer, the wedding venue came into view.
Shashwat parked the car abruptly, jumped out, and opened the driverβs seat.
He grinned. He had been sitting on shoes the whole time. Swiftly grabbing them, he made a run for it.
Just as he crossed the entrance, Reyanshβs car screeched to a halt.
Reyansh flung the door open and pointed at Shashwat.
"Pakdo! andar bhaag raha hai!!" he yelled.
Behind him, Siya, Richa, Akash, Darsh (finally off the cycle), Vihaan, Divya, and Arushi stormed in.
The final battle for the wedding shoes had begun.
The wedding hall, which was supposed to be filled with the sounds of wedding rituals and laughter, had now turned into an absolute warzone over a pair of shoes.
Shashwat was sprinting across the hall, gripping the shoes tightly as if his life depended on it.
Behind him, Reyansh was closing in, determination blazing in his eyes.
And not far behind, Akash and Vihaan were in hot pursuit.
"Reyansh ko roko koi ek log!!" Akash shouted desperately.
Vihaan smirked. "Ek kaam karte hain⦠dono saath me rokte hain!"
Without wasting a second, Akash, Vihaan lunged toward Reyansh from behind.
But just at the last moment,
Reyansh swiftly stepped aside!
The duo had no time to react. Their speed, momentum, and misplaced confidence worked against them.
They slammed straight into Shashwat, who had been running ahead. The trio collapsed onto the floor, tumbling over each other like dominoes.
"AAAHH! Pagal salon?!" Shashwat groaned, lying flat on his back.
Akash winced. "Ham to sath badhane khud hi badh gaye!"
Shashwat ignored them, eyes widening in horror as he realized, the shoes had slipped from his grasp.
He lifted his head just in time to see them land right in front of Kanak.
Kanakβs eyes gleamed.
"Thank you, boys!" she chirped before swiftly grabbing the shoes and dashing away.
Just as Kanak bolted, Darsh suddenly appeared from the other side and snatched the shoes mid-run!
"DARSH!!" Kanak shrieked.
Reyansh lunged forward to grab them back.
But Darsh dropped to the floor, curling into himself, tightly clutching the shoes against his stomach.
"Hath mat lagana! Ye mera hain!" Darsh yelled.
"Naam likha hai kya bhag yahan se!" Richa taunted, trying to pry his hands apart.
Within seconds, Kanak, Divya, and Richa were on top of Darsh, trying to yank the shoes away.
"Chhod de warna utha ke patak dungi!" Kanak warned.
"Nahi dunga" Darsh scoffed, holding on tighter.
βYe joote mujhe dede Thakur!!β Siya said like Bollywood style .
βNahiii!!β Darsh said dramatically.
Seeing the chaos, Akash, Shashwat, Vihaan, and Arushi jumped in to defend Darshβs hold on the shoes.
Within seconds, everyone was on top of Darsh, a chaotic mix of arms, legs, and desperate grabs for the shoes.
The hall erupted in laughter and gasps as guests, especially the elders, watched in a mix of shock and amusement.
Darsh managed to slip out from underneath the pile!
His legs flailed, And then, in the struggle his grip loosened. The shoes went flying through the air.
The entire crowdβs eyes followed the shoes as they soared across the hall, And landed directly onto the dining table.
Everyone scrambled towards the table.
"Kheecho tablecloth!" Shashwat instructed.
But before they could react,
Siya, Divya, Kanak, and Richa smirked at each other and swiftly yanked the tablecloth from their side.
Everything on the table clattered and crashed onto the floor, but,
Divya got the shoes.
"Yesss!!" she cheered, immediately sprinting away.
"Didi! Jaldi aao, chupa dete hain!" Divya called out to Siya, looking for backup.
But just then, Shashwat suddenly appeared behind her.
Before Divya could react, he swiftly struck his hand under hers in a sharp backpalm motion.
One shoe flew out of her grasp and, Got STUCK in the chandelier.
Everyone froze, heads tilting upwards. The shoe dangled from the massive crystal chandelier, swaying mockingly.
Everyone blinked and stared at each other.
The entire wedding venue had turned into a battleground. From running across the streets to snatching, tripping, and crashing into furniture the chaos had reached its peak.
And amidst all this, Ritika was stuck at the back, struggling to see the madness unfold.
She hopped on her toes, craning her neck, but all she could see were people blocking her view.
"Arre yaar! Yahan nahi lad sakte kya? Mujhe bhi dekhna hai!" Ritika groaned in frustration.
Above them, the lone shoe still dangled from the chandelier, swaying mockingly.
Every eye was locked onto it. Then with a sudden creak, the chandelier swayed slightly.
And before anyone could react, The shoe slipped free and plummeted towards the ground!
The world seemed to slow down.
"JOOTE PAKADNE WALA HI WINNER HOGA!!" Shashwatβs voice boomed through the hall.
Gasps filled the room. Eyes widened. Every muscle tensed.
And then, Two pairs of hands shot forward at the same time!
Siyaβs and Shashwat.
Their fingers closed around the shoe together, gripping it firmly.
For a moment, silence filled the air.
"Arre yaar! Ab kaise decide hoga?" Kanak groaned, throwing her hands in the air.
"Tie match?!" Vihaan blinked in disbelief.
"Ek kaam karte hain!" Divya suddenly spoke up, eyes gleaming.
Everyone turned to her.
"Match rakhte hain! Jo jeete, uska hoga joota!"
Gasps and excited murmurs erupted.
The chaos had finally settled, only for a new competition to begin.
Arushi, her eyes twinkling with mischief, clapped her hands to grab everyoneβs attention.
"Shoes ko beech mein rakhte hain. Jo pehle pakdega, wahi jeetega!" she announced excitedly.
Then, grinning, she added, "Bilkul waise hi jaise Hum Aapke Hain Koun mein Salman aur Madhuri khelte hain!"
Excited murmurs filled the hall.
"Haan chalo chalo! Yeh toh aur bhi mazedaar hoga!" Reyansh chimed in, rubbing his hands together.
From the back, Ritika, still frustrated, shouted in irritation.
"Yahan aa ke khelo, mujhe bhi dekhna hai!"
With that, everyone rushed toward the main hall, forming a wide circle around Siya and Shashwat, who stood facing each other.
In the center, the shoes lay untouched on the floor, gleaming like a prize.
The rules were clear, three rounds. Whoever grabs the shoes first wins.
Now, even the elders, despite their earlier disapproving looks, were watching with amused smiles.
Siya and
