OPEN, THE HEAVENLY GATES!❞

𝐎𝐍𝐂𝐄 𝐀 𝐆𝐎𝐃 𝐂𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐃 𝐀 𝐁𝐄𝐈𝐍𝐆,

❝—Strofí! I'm telling you,❞ A silver-haired god chirped, holding a clipboard with a checklist clipped to it. ❝They're going to be my finest creation yet!❞ Tools, workbenches covered in sawdust, and small pools of golden liquid lay scattered about the room, a testament to the god's tireless labour.

❝Trust you? Ha! I'd sooner put my faith in Nyx herself than ever trust you again!❞ The raven-haired god sneered in defiance, arms crossing tightly over his chest. ❝I've been there, done that, and it was a complete failure. Thank you, but no!❞ His words were punctuated with a sigh of frustration, underscoring his chagrin.

❝Awh! But c'mon, Strofí~❞ The first voice implored, poking and pinching the second god's cheeks playfully. ❝It'll be the best of the best, I promise!❞ The 'Black' one irritably swatted his hand away, retorting, ❝Oh, fuck off. Your alleged 'finest creation' is about to awaken, and we both know how well that's gonna go.❞

The "Silver" god let out a curious hum, approaching the occupied bed with keen interest. He stood before the figure, tilting his head to the side and examining it with a thoughtful gaze. ❝They're not supposed to, but oh well.❞ He murmured, his eyes roaming over their form. ❝Indeed, they seem close to awakening, He replied, his voice taking on a slightly excited tone. ❝I can almost feel the power thrumming beneath their skin, ready to burst forth at any moment!❞

The black-haired god scowled at the silver one, his irritation obvious. ❝I told you the first time!❞ He snapped, running a frustrated hand through his messy hair to release some of the tension.

Meanwhile, the silver god had taken a seat next to the creature, his touch soft and gentle as he gently caressed their cheeks. ❝Such an intriguing being,❞ he murmured, his voice a mix of awe and curiosity as he studied the creation. ❝My own hands have brought this being to life, and I can't help but wonder what potential lies within them~❞

The silver-haired god leaned closer, his smile widening with anticipation as the figure's eyes slowly fluttered open. ❝Rise and shine, my dear,❞ He muttered, a note of excitement in his voice. The air seemed to crackle with suppressed energy as the being on the bed began to stir, their form slowly coming to life under his watchful gaze. ❝That's it,❞ He encouraged, his voice smooth and coaxing. ❝Wake up and show me what you're made of.❞

𝐁𝐔𝐓 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐉𝐔𝐒𝐓 𝐀𝐍𝐘 𝐁𝐄𝐈𝐍𝐆..

The silver-haired god's excitement was palpable, his eyes lighting up with a manic glee as the creature stirred. ❝Ugh..❞ The newly-awoken figure let out a series of unintelligible grunts as they slowly roused from their deep slumber.

The silver-haired god could barely contain his excitement, practically bouncing off the walls as he leapt about gleefully like a child on a sugar high. ❝I DID IT! FINALLY!❞ He then bounded over and enveloped his black-haired counterpart in a tight embrace, who struggled in vain to free himself. ❝I told you it was going to be a success!❞

The raven-haired god struggled in protest, his voice a mixture of annoyance and alarm, as he endeavoured to disentangle himself from the silver god's grip. ❝Cease your infernal coddling!❞ He growled, thrashing ineffectively. ❝Step back this instant!❞

The Humanoid Creature squinted and rubbed their eyes, dazed and bewildered by the sudden brightness around them. They muttered in confusion, ❝Why is it so bright..?❞ Their voice was barely above a whisper.

At the same time, the silver god swiftly leapt up from the floor, propelled by a mix of excitement and urgency. The humanoid creature's adorableness only increased his zeal, and with a hearty "oof" from his creation, he flung himself onto the creature, pinning it down with all his weight.

The raven god could only watch in disbelief as the silver one smothered his creation, the creature's groan morphing into a low, guttural sound, somewhere between a whine and an objection.

The humanoid creature let out a pained yelp as the silver god's weight suddenly bore down on them, causing them to wince in discomfort. The silver god, however, responded with an excited squeal, stars sparkling in their eyes. Their initial confusion quickly gave way to curiosity as they beheld the figure who had inadvertently made contact, studying them intently. Your gaze flickered between the silver-haired god and the raven-haired god, observing the dynamics between the two beings in front of your very eyes.

The "Silver" god was adorned in a pristine hanfu, its silken folds draped in opulent elegance. Layers of shimmering gold thread formed intricate patterns, weaving intricate designs across the fabric. Earrings of pure gold, their links tinkling gently as they knocked against one another, the chiming of delicate metal creating a soothing melody. But what truly drew the eye was the golden mesh face veil, skillfully concealing his upper features in a mesmerising halo of gleaming gold. Yet his smile shone through, radiating a warm and comforting presence.

The raven-haired god cursed under his breath in a language they could not comprehend, slowly rising from the bed and affording them a clearer view of his attire. He was adorned in a jet-black hanfu embellished with vibrant red accents, intricate dragon motifs gracing the waistline and sleeve hems. His visage was partially obscured by a dark face veil, masking his lower features, but even so, his withering glare sent a shiver down their spine, evoking a sense of dread as if they had encountered the reincarnation of Satan himself.

Striking appearances, they noted, as they mentally compared the two entities. And when you compare them with each other, they're kinda like Yin-Yangs..

The giddier god exulted, his voice ringing out with boundless enthusiasm as he enveloped them in a viselike embrace, suffocating them with the intensity of his affection. ❝Welcome to the world, my sweet little one!❞ He cried out, his joy uncontainable as he showered them with exuberant affection. ❝I am absolutely thrilled to have the honour of meeting you!❞ He continued to ramble, nuzzling affectionately into their neck, as if desperate to draw them even closer.

𝐈𝐓 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐀 '𝐇𝐔𝐌𝐀𝐍'.

The humanoid creature's confusion deepened at the silver god's cooing, their head tilting to the side in bemusement as they beheld the joyful deity. The silver god continued, ❝Oh, you're utterly adorable!❞ His voice filled with glee as he tenderly cradled their cheeks in his hands. Before they could respond, their vision was overwhelmed by a brilliant smile that could blind even the sun's rays. Instinctively, they squeezed their eyes shut to shield themselves from the dazzling display.

❝Enough with your incessant clinging! The other god snapped, forcibly extracting the silver god from the humanoid creature. ❝You haven't even deigned to introduce yourself, yet you persistently impose upon their personal space, prattling on about 'welcoming' them!❞

The "Yin"'s voice held a mix of annoyance and weary familiarity, reflecting his exasperated tolerance of the silver god's intrusive behaviour. ❝It's as if you have no concept of respect for others' boundaries. You truly have a penchant for invading personal space. Just as you did with me this morning.❞

The way they behave and talk, maybe they ARE Yin Yangs?

The silver-haired god chuckled, his voice tinged with exuberant cheer. ❝Ah, how utterly delightful! You've just reminded me,❞ He said with a wave of his hands. Before he could continue, his joyful tone was interrupted by a series of coughs. Despite his efforts to maintain a serious expression, his playful nature prevailed as he knelt down before them, an impish glint in his eyes.

❝Allow me to introduce myself,❞ He proclaimed, his words ringing with authority. ❝I am Kainat, the God of Creation of the Chinese Pantheon. You, dear one, are my creation, which means I am your creator. I'm very pleased to meet you, little one!❞

❝Can you ever be serious?❞ The second god grumbled, exasperated by his friend's continual foolishness. ❝I am Katastrofí, the God of Destruction of the Chinese Pantheon.❞ He announced, sauntering over to a nearby counter and perching himself upon its edge. He crossed his arms, a disapproving frown marring his features as he continued, ❝Kainot has labelled you his 'finest creation,' but I hold a dissenting opinion. I find his artistic choices quite subpar.❞

Kainat, the silver-haired god, urged Strofí to soften their response towards the newly created being, playfully resting his head on Katastrofi's shoulder. ❝C'mon, be nicer this time,❞ he pleaded, hands clasped together in a begging gesture. ❝I promise I'll give you hugs and kisses~!❞

The raven-haired god, however, bristled in irritation, his face contorting in disgust at the display of affection. ❝QUIT YOUR CODDLING!❞ He bellowed, veins pulsing with anger, and a spear materialising in his clenched fist. ❝YOU'RE GOING TO MAKE ME SICK WITH ALL THIS AFFECTION!❞

Yeah, they were definitely the definition of Yin and Yang. What else could they possibly be?

Kainat relented, his playful demeanour subsiding momentarily. ❝Very well,❞ He clapped his hands, taking a step away from the raven-haired god and moving back towards the bed. He shifted his gaze to his newest creation, locking his gaze with their steady regard. They returned his gaze, their eyes devoid of emotion, merely blinking in response.

❝For now,❞ Kainat continued, a hint of a smirk playing at the corners of his lips as he added, ❝I shall refrain from my usual teasing. But mark my words, I will return to my antics soon enough.❞

𝐍𝐎𝐖 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐌𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓 𝐀𝐒𝐊..

Kainat snapped his fingers impatiently before their face, seeking to command their attention. ❝Time is ticking,❞ He urged. ❝You've been pondering for several minutes now. Do you yet possess an identity to call your own?❞ He leaned forward, closing the distance between them as if to study their every small move as a scientist would examine a rare specimen.

❝A.. Name?❞ They repeated the unfamiliar word back to their creator, their brow furrowing in bewilderment. Hardly had they experienced this world for half an hour, and already they were expected to come up with a personal identity. The concept of a "name" felt foreign and abstract.

❝Yes, a name!❞ The creator repeated, the excitement clear in their voice, undeterred by the confusion that marred the subject's face. ❝It's sorta like a title or something similar to it. Like how I'm 'Kainat' and he's 'Katastrofí! Names often carry a sense of power and purpose. They can serve as a source of strength, identity, and belonging.❞ Their head swam at this new information, the implications of which they struggled to fully grasp.

❝Won't naming myself injure me?❞ They cast a worried glance at him as they posed a question, their fear evident that if they chose an ill-omened name, they might suffer grave consequences, like an incurable illness or even death.

In response, Kainat burst into laughter, his head arching back in mirth as he retorted, ❝Pfft! Don't be absurd! Rest assured, the act of bestowing a name holds no ill intention, nor does it pose any risk of harm or injury. Trust me on this one, alright?❞

𝐖𝐇𝐎 𝐈𝐒 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐓 '𝐇𝐔𝐌𝐀𝐍'?

They paused briefly, their thoughts wandering back to the previous conversation they had overheard between the two gods. They recalled the Katastrofí's defiant comment about preferring to face Nyx's wrath rather than entrust themselves to this being.

Their gaze shifted, seeking confirmation from the embodiment of darkness and foreboding before them, silently requesting his judgment. To their surprise, he nodded his head, silently acknowledging their question.

With a hint of hesitation in their voice, they murmured, ❝Well...❞ They placed a hand under their chin, their mind engaged in a flurry of contemplation as they attempted to devise a name that felt right, given that they'd just been technically born.

𝐖𝐄𝐋𝐋 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐓 '𝐇𝐔𝐌𝐀𝐍' 𝐖𝐀𝐒..

The silver god leaned forward in anticipation, eyes wide with anticipation once they declared they had come up with a name. At this, the raven-haired god, too, halted his grumbling and turned his attention curiously towards the figure, his features betraying a hint of interest. With the blank sheet clutched in their hands, they began to scribble something down, piquing the gods' curiosity even further.

Finally, after contemplating and scribbling for some time, they turned the sheet over, displaying the results of their endeavour for the two gods to see. Their hand hovered nervously over the page, their voice wavering as they spoke.

❝This.. Is the name I've chosen.❞

𝐘𝐎𝐔.
