"Jasper!" Allaia screamed with despair.

"Jasper!" Clarke and Octavia yelled as well.

"No, Jasper!" Allaia almost fell to her knees.

"Get down, get down." He hissed.

"No, we have to help him!" Allaia argued. Her hands were shaking as tears were streaming down her face.

"Alle, stop." Finn held her to his chest even tighter. "There's nothing you can do for him now. Please, just calm down." He pleaded.

   Allaia started walking towards the edge of the cliff, but Finn gripped her hand tightly, pulling her closer to him. He spun around with panicking sister in his arms, scrambling to find a hiding place as fast as he could. Finn crouched behind a large rock and Allaia reluctantly let him led her there. The others dropped to the ground, curling up beside Finn and Allaia.

   Allaia looked around frantically. For a moment she thought that she saw someone running through the forest and a bile rose in her throat.

"We're not alone." Allaia gasped. A tear fell down her cheek.

   TEENAGERS RAN THROUGH the forest as fast as they could without looking back. Allaia hesitated once, not wanting to leave Jasper behind, but Finn immediately put an end to her selflessness by grasping her hand firmly and pulling her with him. Allaia was panting heavily as she rushed through the woods. Her body was slowly giving up, not used to the manual effort. The wound on her leg wasn't helping either. Allaia shouldn't have strained it, but it's not like she had much of a choice since she was basically fighting for her life by running. The tearing pain in her injured leg was slowly becoming unbearable though and Allaia knew she wouldn't be able to keep going much longer.

   Suddenly Monty tripped over something, landing on the ground roughly.

"Monty!" Clarke panted.

"Get up." Finn helped Monty, steadying him.

"Who are they?" Finn breathed.

   Allaia froze when she saw scattered bones laying on the grass. She kneeled, looking at the remains of the skeleton. The bones were rusty, which meant that the corpse was laying here for many years, decomposing slowly. Gradually, Allaia scanned the entire skeleton with her eyes, assessing how anatomically close it was to the human framework. She immediately noticed that the arrangement of the bones was consistent, the number of ribs was identical too. However, Allaia's eyes filled with fear when she traced the skull. It was deformed and its upper part was twice the size of a human skull.

"What are they?" Allaia corrected as she picked up the skull and showed it to the rest.

"We are so screwed." Octavia muttered with shaky voice, holding onto Monty.

   A piercing scream resounded in the woods, frightening the teenagers.

"Jasper. He's alive." Allaia stated, her voice soaking in worry. 

   Without hesitation, she sprinted towards the direction where the scream came from.

"Allaia, wait! Wait!" Finn yelled as everyone rushed after her. "Stay under the trees." He told her sternly when he caught up with her. "He was right there." Finn pointed out.

"No. Where is he?" Monty panicked.

"They took him." Clarke realized.
