Jealousy Looks Good on You

The classroom buzzed with the usual chatter as students packed up their books, preparing to leave for lunch. Minji, however, was still at her desk, scribbling in her notebook, completely oblivious to the commotion around her.

"Minji, you're really diligent," Jun-hee, the class president, said with a small smile as he leaned slightly against her desk.

Minji looked up at him, her eyes bright as she giggled. "Oh, not really! I just wanted to make my notes extra pretty today!" She pouted slightly, tapping her chin with her pen. "But I think I might've overdone the doodles again..."

Jun-hee chuckled. "I think it looks nice. You always put a lot of effort into things."

Minji beamed at him, tilting her head. "You think so? Waaah, that means a lot coming from you, President! You're always so neat and organizedโ€”I bet your notes are like, next-level perfect!"

She rested her chin in her hands, her eyes practically sparkling up at him. Jun-hee let out a small, embarrassed laugh, rubbing the back of his neck. "Well, I try..."

What Minji didn't realize, however, was that someone else was watching.

Kyung-jun.

And he was not happy.

Across the room, Kyung-jun sat slumped in his chair, arms crossed, glowering. His dark eyes locked onto the scene in front of him like a predator stalking its prey. His jaw clenched as he watched Minjiโ€”his Minjiโ€”smiling up at Jun-hee like he was the most interesting person in the world.

The way she tilted her head, the way her voice had that soft, sweet lilt when she spoke to himโ€”why was she acting so cute?

And why wasn't she acting like that with him?!

Kyung-jun had enough.

With an exaggerated groan, he shoved his chair back loudly, causing a few students to flinch at the sudden noise. Everyone turned to look, but Kyung-jun only had eyes for Minji as he stomped over, stopping right next to her desk.

Minji blinked up at him, tilting her head again. "Kyung-jun? What's wrong?"

Wrong? Oh, so she really didn't see the problem?!

Kyung-jun narrowed his eyes at Jun-hee before dramatically slamming his palm down on Minji's desk, causing her to jolt slightly. "We're leaving."

Minji furrowed her brows. "Huh? But I was justโ€”"

"Now," Kyung-jun grumbled, grabbing her wrist (gently, despite his grumpiness) and pulling her up from her seat like a sulky toddler throwing a tantrum.

Jun-hee blinked, confused. "Kyung-jun, she was justโ€”"

"Shut it, Class President," Kyung-jun snapped, not even sparing him a glance as he dragged Minji out of the classroom.

Once they were in the empty hallway, Kyung-jun finally stopped, turning around to glare at her, his cheeks slightly flushed.

"What was that?" he demanded, still holding onto her wrist.

Minji blinked, genuinely confused. "What was what?"

Kyung-jun huffed, running a frustrated hand through his hair. "You! Acting all... all cute with that idiot!"

Minji tilted her head again, this time in genuine curiosity. "I was?"

Kyung-jun groaned, clearly suffering. "Yes! You were giggling, tilting your head, calling him President like it's the cutest thing everโ€”" He broke off, visibly fuming.

Minji stared at him for a second before realization dawned on her.

"...Wait." She blinked. "Are you jealous?"

Kyung-jun's face turned an even darker shade of red. "What?!"

Minji gasped, her hands flying to her mouth as she giggled. "Oh my gosh, you totally are!"

Kyung-jun scowled, looking away. "Shut up."

But Minji, being Minji, only found it even more adorable. With a bright smile, she reached up and ruffled his hair, the ultimate weakness.

Kyung-jun immediately stiffened, his lips pressing into a firm line as Minji stroked his head soothingly. "Awww, my big, scary Kyung-jun was jealous!" she teased, grinning from ear to ear.

Kyung-jun groaned, but he didn't pull away. He never did when she touched his hair.

"I wasn't jealous," he muttered under his breath.

Minji leaned in closer, voice sing-song. "You sooo were~!"

Kyung-jun shot her a glare, but his ears were still bright red. He let out a huff before pulling her into a sudden hug, burying his face into her shoulder.

"You're so annoying," he grumbled, but his arms only tightened around her.

Minji giggled, wrapping her arms around his waist. "I think you meant to say 'Minji, you're the cutest person ever, and I'm totally in love with you.'"

Kyung-jun groaned again. "I'm leaving."

Minji only held on tighter. "Nope! You're stuck with me!"

And despite his protests, Kyung-jun never actually let go.
