Stealing His Hoodie
It started with Minji feeling just a little chilly.
The autumn breeze had been getting colder, and even though the sun was still up, there was a crispness in the air that made her shiver slightly as she sat on the school rooftop.
Kyung-jun, sitting beside her with his usual grumpy expression, noticed immediately. He didn't say anything, of courseβhe just stared for a second before sighing, then shrugged off his hoodie and shoved it into her lap.
"Wear it," he muttered, looking away as if the sky had suddenly become very interesting.
Minji blinked down at the hoodie before grinning. "Aww, my tough, mean Kyung-junnie is actually a sweetheart, huh?"
"Shut up and put it on before I take it back," he grumbled, already regretting his decision.
Minji giggled but obediently slipped it over her head, the fabric instantly drowning her. His hoodie was way too big on her, the sleeves hanging past her hands, but it smelled like himβclean, with a hint of cologne and something uniquely Kyung-jun. It made her feel warm in more ways than one.
When she peeked at him, she swore she saw his ears turn red.
After that, she just... never gave it back.
At first, Kyung-jun let it slide. He figured she'd return it after a few days, maybe after washing it. But then a week passed. Then two. And Minji kept wearing it.
To school. To the convenience store. To study sessions at cafΓ©s. She even sent him selfies in it with captions like: Your hoodie has a new owner now!
Kyung-jun, to his own horror, found himself letting out the tiniest smile whenever she did. But still, he had to at least pretend to be annoyed.
"Minji," he deadpanned one afternoon as they walked home together. "Give me my hoodie back."
Minji gasped dramatically, clutching the hoodie as if he had just asked for her soul. "Kyung-junnie, no! This is mine now!"
"It's mine," he argued, rolling his eyes. "You stole it."
She pouted up at him, tugging at the oversized sleeves. "But it's comfy! And it smells like you."
Kyung-jun felt something short-circuit in his brain. He looked away quickly, clicking his tongue. "That's the problem."
"Why?" Minji tilted her head, eyes sparkling with mischief. "Do you like the idea of me smelling like you?"
Kyung-jun groaned. "Minji."
She giggled, linking her arm through his. "Come on, tough guy, admit it. You like it, don't you?"
"No."
"Liar."
He huffed, not answering. Because, honestly? He did like it. A lot. Seeing her in his hoodie made something in his chest ache in the best way possible.
But no way was he telling her that.
Minji grinned, clearly seeing right through him, and thenβjust to test him furtherβshe pulled the hoodie's oversized hood up and snuggled deeper into it. "Mmm, so warm... so cozy... so Kyung-junnie."
Kyung-jun groaned again, rubbing his temples. "You're impossible."
She simply beamed. "And you love me for it."
"...Yeah, yeah."
And he let her keep the hoodie. Because, honestly? It was hers now.
Stealing His Hoodie (Part 2)
Days passed, and Kyung-jun officially accepted that his hoodie was never coming back.
At this point, Minji wore it everywhere. At school, during their study sessions, even on their dates. And the worst part? She looked adorable in it. The oversized sleeves made her hands disappear, and whenever she got sleepy, she'd tuck her face into the collar like a little kitten curling up for a nap.
Kyung-jun hated how much he liked it.
He was supposed to be the tough, untouchable guyβthe one everyone feared at school. But then Minji had to come along, steal his hoodie, and turn him into this pathetic, lovesick mess.
And now, here they wereβsitting on the school rooftop again, Minji practically swimming in his hoodie, happily sipping a carton of banana milk while Kyung-jun sulked beside her.
"You look grumpy," Minji noted, her voice light and teasing.
"I am grumpy." He gave her a pointed look. "Because someone stole my hoodie and won't give it back."
Minji gasped dramatically, pressing a hand to her chest. "Are you accusing me of theft?"
"Yes."
She giggled, completely unbothered. "Well, too bad! This hoodie and I are in love now."
Kyung-jun stared at her, deadpan. "You're insane."
"And you're obsessed with me."
He scoffed. "Not even close."
Minji pouted. "You don't like seeing me in your hoodie?"
Kyung-jun opened his mouthβready to deny, to lie, to save what little dignity he had leftβbut then Minji pulled the hood up again, snuggling into it with this ridiculously pleased expression, and his heart did that stupid thump-thump thing that he absolutely despised.
He sighed.
"...It looks fine."
Minji grinned. "Just fine?"
Kyung-jun groaned. "Minji."
"Okay, okay." She set down her banana milk, then suddenly crawled over to him, eyes twinkling with mischief. "Since you're sulking so much, I'll make it up to you."
He narrowed his eyes. "How?"
Without answering, she lifted her handsβtoo hidden by the sleeves to be seenβand started gently stroking his hair.
Kyung-jun instantly stiffened. "Minjiβ"
"Shhh." She smiled, fingers moving softly against his scalp. "Just let me pamper you, tough guy."
He wanted to resist. He really did. But the moment her fingers started combing through his hair, he let out a slow breath and melted.
Minji giggled, watching as the tension in his shoulders eased, his eyelids growing just a little heavier. "You love this," she whispered.
He grumbled something under his breath, but he didn't push her away. Instead, he sighed and leaned slightly into her touch.
Minji beamed. "See? I knew it."
"...Shut up."
She giggled again, continuing to stroke his hair, andβbecause she couldβshe leaned in and pressed a soft kiss to his forehead.
Kyung-jun's eyes snapped open, his ears turning pink.
Minji giggled against his skin. "Payback for all the forehead kisses you give me."
Kyung-jun scowled, but it was so weak. "...You're lucky I like you."
Minji smiled sweetly, tugging the sleeves of his hoodie over her hands. "I know."
And Kyung-jun just sighed, letting her win. Because, really, he had lost the moment she stole his hoodie.
