When the lights suddenly shut off dramatically, Ryan knew it was starting. Why was karate so dramatic?

"This is it, folks. The moment we've all been waiting for. The final match to determine who will be victor and champion. Will it be Miguel Diaz from Cobra Kai Karate?"

Ryan cheered loudly along with Moon an Demetri who were still beside him.

"Will it be Robby Keene, unaffili—" A woman came running up to him and whispered in his ear. "Daniel Larusso's gonna coach? Daniel LaRusso is gonna coach! I'm sorry, folks, there's been a change. Robby Keene will now be fighting for Miyagi-do Karate with former champion Daniel Larusso as his Sensei! How about that? Good luck gentlemen!"

Ryan scoffed stuffing a snickers bar into his mouth. "So damn dramatic."

     Robby and Miguel bowed to each other and the match was on. Miguel charged at Robby first, throwing punches and kicks at him but Robby managed to block every single one before kicking Miguel in the chest, sending him to the ground. Miguel punched the ground in rage before standing up and getting back into position. Ryan was slightly scared by the look on Miguel's face and the amount of anger he was channeling, but he was also slightly turned on.

     The second round started and Miguel ended up being the one on defense. He blocked all of Robby's kicks and punches before ducking under a specific punch and kicked Robby's injured shoulder while he was still crouched. He then punched the boy in the stomach and Robby fell straight on his butt. "Yeah, kick his ass, Diaz," Ryan cheered.

The score was now one to one and the boys got back into fighting position. Miguel threw a series of punches at Robby before sweeping his leg and punching him in the stomach, earning him his second point. However, the next round Robby had pulled out a new move. Miguel had managed to push the boy into a corner and Robby kicked him with both feet, balancing on one hand and sending Miguel flying backwards.

Robby went to help Miguel up and Miguel had grabbed Robby's injured arm and yanked down on it harshly causing boos to erupt in the crowd. Ryan didn't know what had gotten into Miguel but he knew he didn't like it. Whoever was fighting now was someone completely different, running on pure anger and rage.

The last round started and Ryan watched Robby block all of Miguel's kicks and punches with one arm. Robby then tried to kick the boy, but Miguel grabbed his leg and kicked him in his injured arm. Robby cried out in pain and Miguel sent a kick to his stomach, winning the match.

Cheers erupted from the room and all of the Cobra Kai students began to surround Miguel. Ryan smiled and cheered as the announcer handed Miguel his trophy. Miguel was handed a microphone to speak. "I just wanna say that if it wasn't for my Sensei, I wouldn't be here. So this is for Sensei Johnny Lawrence and Cobra Kai!"

Once all of the excitement died down Ryan left the bleachers to throw away his trash. He entered the quiet lobby and found the nearest trash can. He would've asked Demetri to throw away his trash but the boy was already complaining about Ryan and Moon sending him to do everything else.

     Ryan turned around to go back into the arena when Miguel walked through the doors. "Look, Miguel I don't feel like being yelled at again."

     "I'm not here to yell. Actually I'm not even here to talk." Ryan was confused. Miguel had started storming over to him and Ryan swore he was going to hit him. Instead Miguel grabbed his face and crashed their lips together.

     Ryan's eyes widened not believing what was happening. He wasn't one to waist the moment so he quickly kissed Miguel back. Their lips moved together in pure passion, both not wanting to let the moment go like last time.

     Eventually they had to pull away for air and Ryan pulled back from Miguel. "Damn, Diaz. That was hot."

     Miguel just chucked at the boy and placed another chaste kiss on his lips. "I'm sorry. For everything. My mom had caught us that one time, so I pushed you away so I wouldn't get in trouble. It was a pussy move, but I talked to her and she understands how I feel about you now. I really really like you Ryan. Would you go out with me?"

     "Like on a date?"

     Miguel panicked again. "I mean it doesn't have to be a date if you don't want that. It can just be two people hanging out and—"

     Ryan pushed him slightly. "Relax, Diaz. I'm just messing with you. I would love to go out with you."

     Miguel smiled in relief and pulled the boy back into another long kiss. Ryan smirked as he pulled away from Miguel for the second time.

     "I could get used to that."
