entirely convinced this wouldn't work.

"Right, but when we use this thing," He held up the pruning device. "I might not make it back..."

And with that, Loki and Ivy glitched and were pulled through time and space possibly for the last time. This may have been a good thing if it wasn't for the fact that the pruning device did not come with them. They now needed to find another one.

Somewhat luckily for them they reappeared in what they assumed was the past TVA once again. Well they assumed that until they both noticed Mobius' writing on one of the dusty computers.

"It's the future." Loki whispered in horror.

Ivy shook her head in disbelief, "World's Worst Luck award goes to us... again."

"We got to find another Timestick." Loki spoke before grabbing the agent's arm and dashing out of the room.

Ivy, being a person who finds humor at the worst time, blurted out as they ran out of the room, "Hey, beanpole, some of us are short!"

When Ivy and Loki made it to more populated parts of the TVA sirens were blaring, emergency lights flashed, and a robotic warning voice played from the speakers. TVA agents and guardsmen alike were running around the place like mad. Which by Ivy and Loki's mad dashing around the place, it made them blend in more. Unfortunately, despite how many people there were, there seemed to be not one single person with a Timestick.

"Where's the angry guards when you need them!?" Ivy yelled out as her and Loki rounded a corner, nearly running into people as they went.

"They have to be somewhere!" Loki yelled back as he dodged a passing TVA agent.

The two eventually made it to the more office-like area and began digging through the desks to try and find a Timestick anywhere. Both muttering the word over and over again as they threw stuff around, as if that would suddenly make one appear. When this ended up as a dead-end, they made their way over to the area that held the screen of the timeline in hopes of finding anything there.

Loki looked at the timer in his hand. Still not green. "There's still time."

"Not much I'd assume though." Ivy pointed out as they both ran to find any other place that could maybe, just maybe have what they were looking for.

This time they decided to take the outer edge hallway and were able to see from the balcony that all of the TVA was quickly losing power, the once lit up city during completely dark.

Just as Ivy and Loki turned to go back into the inside hallway the timer they were given began to tick. When they came to a halt to look at the device it suddenly went green.

Ivy felt her stomach drop and the color drain from her face. "What the hell?"

As Loki began to speak a landline telephone ring came from down the hallway. The two were both on the edge of passing out from fear and running around so much that they honestly thought they were hallucinating the sound but made their way over to it anyway. As they came around the sharp corner they were met with the small landline sitting on a stool next to an elevator.

Ignoring the phone, the two let their focus stay on the elevator that was making rattling sounds as if someone was in there. The little bit of hope they had left in them let them believe whoever or whatever was in there could possibly have a Timestick.

Their hope however was wrong, the person in there did not have a Timestick. But when the person managed to pry the elevator open, the one foot wide gape revealed the last person they'd thought they'd see.

It was Sylvie.

"There you two are." She grunted as she tried to get the elevator doors open more.

It was at this moment in time Ivy decided that there was nothing left in the universe that could surprise her anymore. She had seen and been through so many insane and completely unbelievable things by this point. This meant that she was completely unsurprised, yet relieved, when she suddenly felt a strong burning sensation that told her she was being pruned.

This also meant that five seconds later when Loki and she were being shot through space and time and collided with Mobius, who looked like he was wearing a spacesuit, she was also completely unfazed by life at this point.

"Whose elbow is in my ribcage!?" Ivy grunted as her, Loki, and Mobius laid dogpiled on top of each other.

"Sorry." Loki grunted back, quickly moving his arm to not hurt the woman anymore then she already was. He then began to sit himself up. "We need to find Sylvie."

a/n: Holy shit guys, this book is finally posted!! And by that I mean I'm posting this like 10 minutes after I wrote the last part of this lol. I literally have spent a total of like 7 hours writing these last two chapters over the course of the last 5 days on top of also going through my weekly college life lol.

But anyways, I so hope you all, old and new readers, enjoy this book! I loved being able to bring some people joy with the first book and I'm hoping to bring even more joy with this one. Which reminds me that I promise to try and add even more Ivy + Loki interactions then I did last time. You might have been able to pick up some things I very purposefully added to show their interesting relationship forming in these two chapters alone ;)

Now I'mma stop rambling before you're here all day lol, enjoy reading :)

(p.s. if you want to get alcohol poisoning just take a shot every time I say "suddenly" in these last two chapters lol)
