closet...w-we wouldn't be in this mess! But I was too scared and now you could be hurt...or worse! A-And I never even got a chance to tell you I'm like...in love with you Y/n." I brought my hands up to my eyes and tried wiping the tears away.

This is all my-

"D-Dipper?"

My heart dropped as I heard Y/n's cracking voice, but when I looked down she was still unconscious.

I turned around and saw Y/n standing there, journal in hand, with tears in her eyes.

I jumped up and freaked out. "Y-Y/n! Wait. Then who's that?" I pointed to the Y/n on the floor as I answered my own question.

The shape-shifter got up instantly and looked at the real Y/n and ran at her on all four legs.

"Look out!" I yelled after her as the shape shifter dove for the book but Y/n moved out of the way and the shape shifter jumped on top of Y/n as they started wrestling for the book so I grabbed the crowbar and ran towards the two.

They both told me to hit the other one so I had no idea who was who. "I don't know who's who!"

Dangling from one of the Y/n's wrist, I saw her bracelet with a little star charm attached to it. I checked the other wrist and saw nothing.

I hit the shape shifter in the stomach which caused him to switch back into his true form as an agonized screamed sliced the air. Behind him I saw one of the pods say 'ready' on it.

"Push him in!"

We ran towards the shape shifter who had healed from the gash from the crowbar and pushed him into the pod, which the door closed, locked and started freezing him. He started changing into a bunch of different monsters to try and break out but it was no use.

I watched as Y/n walked up to the pod and  starred at it satisfyingly. Everyone started walking away until the shape shifter pressed up against the glass, catching everyones attention again.

"You think you've won? There's no defeating me! I'll find a way to destroy you!" He taunted, changing his form into me and held up a hand gun to Y/n's head and pulled the trigger, winking as he did so.

She stepped back and looked caught off guard by the action as her confidence over the creature seemed to shrink.

What was that about?

The shape shifter turned to me and laughed evilly in his true form. "You think your so clever, Dipper? Well you have no idea what you're up against. You'll never find the author! If you keep digging you'll meet a fate worse then you could imagine. And this will be the last form you will ever take!" The shape shifter started screaming in false pain, putting my hands up and then freezing over.

"Good luck sleeping at night." Soos piped up, chuckling.

I turned to Y/n who was looking at her reflection in the mirror, lost in thought.

Before I could walk up to her, she robotically turned on her heels and started to head out with the others, leaving me alone.

Y/n's pov

After defeating the shape shifter and still having no answers about the whereabouts on the author, the one thing that stuck in my mind was what Dipper said earlier while I'll- well, the shapeshifter, was unconscious.

Which makes me wonder because earlier I saw him with Wendy. I knew I was important to him but I didn't know I was this important to him. It made me actually happy for once to be thought of like this.

I started to follow Soos and Mabel to go get some food until I heard Dippers voice. "Look, Y/n. About earlier...in the heat of the moment...I might of said some dumb things and can we just pretend none of it ever happened? Please?"

He didn't mean it? None of it? He just said it because I was 'dead' at the moment? Oh, so, when I'm alive I don't matter, I see how it is.

"What if I don't want to." I said flatly, finding this situation unbelievable and wanted to get as far away from Dipper as I could.

He turned around and looked at me with hope in his eyes but when he saw my facial expression, he lost it.

I was mad. No, that was an understatement.

"W-What?" He said, surprised yet confused at how harshly I had said my words.

I rolled my eyes and shoved my hands in my jacket. "Just because I was 'dead' I meant something to you? I don't work that way, Dipper." I looked down at my lap.

He took a couple steps closer to me but then stopped. "I don't mean it that way. You always mean something to me I just thought-"

I cut him off, still not raising my voice at him yet because my heart was being crushed at the moment so it was a bit hard to talk. "You thought...what? I was going to hate you because you like me? Are you really that naive!" I threw my hands out of my pockets and raised my voice a little but quickly retreated as I felt tears run down my face.

"N-No. Thats not why! And what do you mean I'm naive?"

"I like you! Like a lot! And you just toy with my emotions and it really hurts sometimes, Dipper." I looked him in the eyes and saw that he was crying too.

He started walking towards me saying, "I'm sorry," but stopped mid way because I held out my hand in a stopping motion and pulled my hoodie over my head and walked away. Alone in the darkness.

Who does he think he is?

As I walked home I could basically feel my heart being ripped apart by Dipper and I saw the shape shifter as Dipper pointing a hand gun at me and pulling the trigger again. It sent chills down my spine and I ran into the woods farther away from the Shack and sat against some tree, watching as shining butterflies flew around glowing flowers and no matter how breathtaking everything was, it didn't lift my mood.

I closed my eyes and rested my head against the tree and slowly heaved in and out breaths to try and make myself stop crying.

It helped, but when I re-opened my eyes, I saw normal-form Bill in front of me, twirling his cane, watching as he waited for me to notice his presence.

"Get out of here Bill, I'm not in the mood." I snapped, sniffling.

He sat next to me, swiftly changing into his human form as he took my hand and I yanked it out of his grasp and brought my knees to my chest and rested my chin on them.

"You're never in the mood, sweetheart.~"

I rolled my eyes and ignored him. I stared off into the distance hearing those stupid voices in my head again telling me I'm no good.

"He did that.~" Bill's voice echoed in my mind, the words not coming from his mouth but instead seeming to leave an imprint in my mind.

"No he didn't."

"He did that to you!~" He snapped, his words louder and harsher, somehow hurting me.

"Stop it! Stop!" I tried pushing him away but he appeared above me, still a human.

"And what you did for him was priceless. You need revenge.~"

"You can't make me do anything." I glared up at him, my lips in a thin line as his agitated frown turned into an amused smirk.

"Oh, but I can, darling. Ya see...I'm inside your head. Your going crazy for him, I can tell.~"

"Maybe I am...going crazy" His words somehow seemed to be persuading me, causing me to look at Bill like he was my friend. It's funny, he reminded me of Lucas.

"Correct! Now what do you say we-"

I realized what Bill was doing to me. He was trying to manipulate me. Control me. I can't let him. "Enough!"

"I just think it's time for a game." He smiled but it quickly faded into a cold stare. "Join me."

I leaned closer to him, my face having no expression. "No."

"Why? What good will come out of this? Being dragged around in all this madness?~"

"Quite! That is not the point'"

He drew closer to me, my head still not drawing back from his attempt at intimidating me. "That is absolutely the point!"

"Find someone else to toy with! I don't care! Just leave me alone!"

"As you wish, Little Star.~" He smirked and ran his finger under my chin.

Realizing what I said, I started panicking. "No, wait! I didn't mean-"

I was interrupted by Bill's obnoxious maniacal laugh.

I woke up with a cold sweat. What have I done?
