his vague response.

"The meeting? Everything went well you saw that yourself. They listened to you and recognized that you're still in charge of this. Why do you keep worrying about it?" Estella shook his shoulders trying to cheer him up, but nothing once again came from him.

"No not about the meeting. About the gringo. The American agent that's what I'm thinking about." He whispered again turning his attention back to the gentle sounds of the waves. Estella's face dropped but forced herself to nod her head. She didn't like thinking about this but knew she had to be there for Miguel.

"Do you regret it or something? Why else would you be thinking about him?" She questioned startling Miguel. It was rare to see her continue this kind of conversation since every time he brought it up she always changed the topic but this time she felt the need to hear him out since it seemed to be greatly affecting him.

"No, I don't think so. I keep replaying what he said to me and that kind of shit sticks to your head. He told me that I wouldn't survive this and that I have no idea what's coming for me something along those lines." Miguel รngel explained this remembering Kiki's badly beaten appearance and words that had stuck with him ever since he talked to him. Estella felt chills run down her spine hearing him describe what the agent had said. It was strange and chilling at the same time and she couldn't help but think that maybe he was right.

"So he said he would get revenge or something after his death like that? I know it must be difficult to be thinking about this. I remember my last time speaking to him outside the jewelry store he told nothing good would come with being with you. But I try my best not to think about that and you shouldn't either even if it's hard not to. You're an intelligent man and you won't go down without a fight and I see that." Estella looked up at him interlacing her fingers with his. He was doubtful about this advice but agreed she was correct and knew he had to stop thinking of the agent's eerie words before he went crazy.

"And you don't think that right?" He stared skeptically at her waiting for her reaction.

"Think what?"

"You don't think that being with me will only result in bad?"

"I know there will be bad times but no I would like to think that everything will go well between us. I trust you Miguel รngel and expect for you to do the same too. But my respect and trust for you will be gone if you ever choose to betray me." Estella clarified knowing that if he ever cheated or did her wrong she would never forgive him no matter how petty or immature that sounded. This was a business that could cost her life and any small mistake from him would be a large one in her eyes.

"I won't betray you and trust you won't betray me." He agreed with her conditions and kissed her. She pulled away and smiled looking up at the clear blue sky and at the military men who still surrounded them.

"Where will we be going?" Estella asked holding on to his arm the military following behind the pair. Miguel รngel smoked his cigarette thinking about a lot including her question.

"I don't know yet, but I want to visit Sinaloa to show you something. As for now I want to spend more time with you." He answered with a smirk on his face causing Estella to laugh and nod her head approving of his plans.

"That sounds amazing."

Miguel รngel didn't tell Estella that he had ordered the gruesome death of his godson Rodolfo Sรกnchez knowing the details behind it were horrendous and he didn't want or need another argument with her when things especially now were going somewhat well between them. Estella did not know about the death of Rodolfo and thought everything was running steadily when it came to the cartel and violence having to be involved.

"We're here." Miguel รngel pointed to the old peach-colored house the military following behind them shouting orders once again. She had been told it was his old house before he had built his drug empire.

"Wow, it's different." Estella walked alongside him glimpsing at him. He smoked his cigarette seeming to get a wave of nostalgia looking at his former home.

"Yes it's very different but this used to be my life." He mumbled holding his hand out to Estella who shortly accepted it. Soon the two were in the back of the house observing the place where Miguel had described where everything had begun including the marijuana Rafa had grown.

"Do you regret giving up Rafa and Neto? They were your friends Miguel you have the right to feel some sort of guilt." Estella suggested noticing Miguel walk up to some pile of rats.

"No it was necessary for the business and my protection but they will be missed like we told Amado earlier." Miguel รngel continued to stare at the rodents. Estella felt the breeze of the wind and placed her coat to cover her shoulders. She didn't know if he was saying the truth about this but realized she would never know when it came to him.

"I'm happy to be here with you Miguel truly. If I hadn't met Rafa that night I wouldn't be here or if I didn't plan that stupid escape." Estella slightly laughed kicking the dirt underneath her shoes. He stayed quiet thoughts swirling through his head.

"I remember you bumping into me at the wedding." He looked at her confusing Estella not recalling such a thing. To be completely honest the wedding of Rodolfo Sรกnchez was a blur to her not remembering much of the times before she got caught up in all of this. That was a strange feeling but assumed that it was normal now.

"Excuse me." Estella brushed past Miguel not even recognizing it was him. He shrugged and looked back at the young woman.

"I don't remember that. To be honest it's hard to remember how everything used to be before I got into all of this. All I do is think about you and the business now." Estella looked away feeling somewhat sentimental about this but knew she didn't regret any of this except for the violence and the miss for her family. However, she was slowly starting to get accustomed to the immense danger and fear but didn't care since she loved Miguel รngel. She wasn't brainwashed by him and she would try and get herself more involved in this since the feeling of being involved was something she liked. Her mind began to think about Isabella's offer and thought what if she was right this whole time? What if Miguel betrayed her like he did to Rafa and Neto. She saw how easy it had been done and when it came to benefiting himself he would go to any level to protect himself and his business.

"What's next?" Estella asked breaking the silence only the sound of the wind and flaps of the plastic covering the place where the marijuana used to be grown.

"I want you my by side during these hardships and we'll live in a big house together. Nothing is going to change between us. I promise that." Miguel รngel pulled her closer to him as Estella nodded her head. She heard the uncertainty in his voice and wondered if this was true. What if Kiki was right and everything ended up being ruined? That was odd to think about.

"I believe you, Miguel. I love you and I'm certain this will all go well. We'll be happy together." She smiled looking up at him. He swallowed the gulp in his throat and ran his fingers through her hair.

"I love you too."
