pushed the boy out of the way which lead to it grabbing hold of Arya's arm and throwing her back into a pile of boxes where she hit her head on the wall. Ignoring the piercing pain in her head, she grabbed a sharp object from the box beside her and ducked under one of the demons swings, piercing him in the chest with the long stick. But as Jace stabbed it again, one of its long tentacles from its back reached round just as Arya pushed Jace out of harm's way again, it stabbed Arya in the neck.

She dropped down, clutching her throat while Jace and Clary quickly headed over to her, followed by Magnus who's eyes widened when he saw the dead demon on the table and then followed by the fake Alec who was way too fussy over her.

"I'm fine. Go back to the party, Alec." She tried to insist but he ignored her.

"She said go!" Jace shouted, also sick of fake Alecβ€”some of his rage for real Alec also coming through.

The boy timidly ran back up the stairs and to the party while Arya was struggling to keep her mind focused on anything apart from the blinding pain in her shoulder.

"Where's my stele?" Jace worried for the girl.

"It didn't come through with you." Clary sighed.

"She's gonna need more than a stele for that," Magnus told them, looking at the bleeding hole in her neck.

"Will Portaling her back to her own body cure her?" Clary hoped but Magnus shook his head as a no.

"Blood travels with you," Magnus explained and both shadow hunters worried for the quickly paling girl while Jace cursed Alec for making him weaker through their parabatai bond. If he had been his usual strength it may not have happened. "It's why your angelic powers still work here. The demon blood is in her system." The older man stressed.

"Then we have to get her back to the institute in our dimension," Jace stressed, throwing one of her arms over his shoulder while Clary did the same with the other.

"No. We've got to find Valentine." Arya insisted.

"Ari, you're in no condition to fight." Clary insisted but Arya shook her head through ragged breaths.

"We might not get another chance. If we don't do it then all of this will be a waste." She panted.

"I found it!" Magnus called and the other two shadow hunters helped the brunette to stand, helping her over to the wall. The warlock took Clary's portal shard and used it to open the portal. It flowed an entrancing purple just like the stone had before. And it was also the last thing Arya saw before the pain consumed her.

"You'll have to destroy the portal after we go through," Jace instructed while wearily looking down at Arya who's eyes had closed shut.

"Why?" Magnus asked.

"To secure your dimension from all sides. If it stays open you'll be vulnerable to more demon attacks," he explained. Also noticing the blood on the back of Arya's head. He felt guilty, to say the least. The girl was always the first to get injured because she was always the first to try and protect everyone else besides herself.

"I'll take care of it and the malodorous monstrosity on that table." He assured, gesturing to the dead demon with disgust.

"Think of your father," Jace commanded Clary and she did so before walking through with Arya in their arms. They only hoped they could get her back in time.

Once the trio landed at their destination, they expected to see valentine. But after surveying their surroundings which were very painful for Arya, they couldn't find him anywhere. The girl dropped from their arms upon arrival and clattered to the floor.

Jace tried to used his stele to help cure the wound by activating her rune but it wouldn't work.

"Magnus was right." Clary sighed.

"It's bearable now," she assured and the pair nodded, helping her back up, just as a tin cage on the side of the room started to rattle.

It was Clary who proceeded forward to open

it while Arya remained in Jace's arms. But nobody expected to see who captivated it. Especially Jace.

"Jace." The man whispered and Arya thought that the demon venom was getting to her when she saw it.

"Jace, who is this man?" Clary asked.

"My father." He said and it was a rare occasion to ever see Jace show any emotion other than rage or anger. Especially to see it hit him so hard that tears filled his eyes. But that's what happened. Jace showed emotion, Arya fell to her knees crying out in pain and Clary had no clue what to do.

Okay, so, I'm not sure how I feel about this episode. It was hard to write because Alec barely appears in it and Jace comes into the dimension
and Alec doesn't so that was a bit of a struggle
but any way.

Vote if you enjoyed it.

I think I'm gonna post once more today may be more or less but I'm gonna aim for once more.
