AVA WAS SAT IN NICHOLAS'S TRAILER, it was his last day of filming monsters and almost the end of Ava's trip to America. She had been there for almost two weeks and had to be back in London in four days. It was nice spending those two weeks back, Ava had written multiple chapters of her novel, she had been on set to support Nicholas and went sight seeing around LA.

The door softly openen and an exhausted Nicholas walked into the trailer. He sat down on the couch next to Ava, who was sitting there already. "I'm so glad this is over, I'm so tired." Nic exclaimed with a big sigh. He had been working really hard the last couple of weeks while filming. It was mostly the scene's in prison and court, which were really exhausting to do, Cooper and Nicholas had to re-anact every little detail from real life, Cooper even had books and photo's around his mirror so he could really get close to Erik. Both of them were tired of those scenes, so Nicholas's words were true.

"You worked really hard on this project with Cooper, you guys did your best and I couldn't be prouder." Ava put her arm around Nicholas, he laid his head on her shoulder.

"I'm glad you were here for those last couple of scenes." Nicholas thanked her for coming to america. She gave him a soft smile.

"Some other good news, I have finished the first part of my novel!" Ava told him excitedly.

Nicholas looked up at her, a big smile revealing itself. "I'm proud of you, but you have to let me read it! Now I have the time." He sat up excitedly.

"I will, I just have to rewrite some things, then you'll be the first to read it." Ava promised him.

"Okay, I'm gonna go get ready and head back to finish the day with the crew." He stood up from the couch and walked into the small bathroom.

The tension between Ava and Nicholas was cold. A few days after he finished filming, the two did some last activities, before Ava left the city again. It was fun and all until the moment to pack came, Nicholas was helping her with her suitcase and when she was in the bathroom grabbing her toiletries, he looked into her stuff. A pile of paper with the title "A wall between us" he thought it must have been her novel. Naturally Nicholas started writing the chapters.

He didn't expect the novel to have the same similarities as one of the main characters. The character was brutal towards his friend. From what he could read was a woman reconecting with her old best friend and falling in love, only for him to abuse her physically but also mentally. Nicholas was hurt reading those words on paper. Not only was their characteristics the same, but the character's name was Nicholas's middle name.

When Ava walked back into the main hotelroom she saw Nicholas reading her novel. She was shocked seeing him reading it. Nicholas looked up at the person he was hurt by, he grabbed the paper tightly and stood up from the ground.

"I didn't know you could be so cruel." He didn't try to yell, but his voice raised at the end of his sentence. "How could you see me that way?"

Ava didn't know what to say, of course her novel wasn't about Nicholas. It was about someone completely different. That man she wrote about was cruel and nothing a like Nicholas.

"It's not about you!" Ava responded back hurt. How could he think that she would write about him like that? She knew he would never do that.

"How could it not be? He has my middle name, my character, the same looks, how could he not be a copy of me but then cruel?" Nicholas pointed at the papers.

Ava wasn't ready to talk about her story with Nicholas, but she wanted to let him know it wasn't written about him.

"I know it looks bad in your eyes, but it isn't you." Ava tried to convince him.

"Are you this delusional? Alexander wasn't her protector anymore but her abuser, how could he be so cruel towards her?" Nicholas read out loud, his anger visible in his voice.

She didn't even dare to look at him, she was embaressed about what she had written. It felt dirty when someone read it out loud. it wasn't fiction anymore to her, it was her past. But Nicholas couldn't know yet, she didn't feel safe to say it out loud yet.

"It was a fucking mistake becoming friends with you again, hell even kissing you!" He yelled loudly, Nicholas threw the papers towards her and grabbed his coat. "Don't even bother to text or call, I'm fucking done." He stormed out the hotel room.

Ava slowly fell to the ground on her knees, her vision blurry and her breathing heavy. The papers were torn apart in her hands. After months of being done with panic attacks, they returned. Over her fucking novel.

She had been on the floor for an hour until she finally felt herself come back to reality, and it hit her. Nicholas was gone again, this time forever.

"YOU'LL BE OKAY AV, JUST CALM YOUR BREATHING." Connor's calming voice told her. She was sat on his couch after coming back from her flight. Strangely he was the only person really understanding of her. His hand was brushing softly through her brown hair.

"He didn't know it was about someone else, I tried to tell him." More tears were escaping her eyes. Connor whispered some calming responses in her ear to help calm her. In some way it helped her.

"It's not your fault, it's your past, yes maybe it was a similar name or some of his personality. But remember that the man who did that to you was once like Nicholas, only he wasn't whou you thought he was." Connor explained to her.

"Nicholas is different, I know, but he didn't give you an opportunity to explain yourself." Ava wiped away some tears from her cheeks.

"I can't blame him for leaving, to be honest." She sighed.

"I just wish he wouldn't leave again."

Sorry for the days not posting, hopefully I'll get my rhythm back.

I already miss them even though they weren't official yet. There will be some heavy topics in one of the next chapters, but I'll put a disclaimer beforehand.

Thanks for reading!
