𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐀𝐍 𝐄𝐗𝐓𝐑𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐋𝐘 𝐋𝐎𝐔𝐃 𝐒𝐈𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐄 𝐅𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐑𝐎𝐎𝐌, Nicholas could only look at her without saying anything. He was just rejected by her and he didn't know if it was the alcohol getting closer to her or his true feelings.

"Why?" Was the only thing that came out of his mouth. Ava slowly grabbed his hands and closer her eyes a few seconds before talking to him.

"You have a girlfriend Nic, besides that I have ruined this friendship once because I like you, I don't want to mess this up again." Ava explained to him, her grip on his hands a little tighter.

"Did I ever mention having a girlfriend to you?" His voice a little bitter towards her.

"No, but that girl in the background of our call a week back, and then I saw her on Instagram and your comments under her posts." Answered his question.

His face expression hardened. "I went on a date with her that night, she stayed after dinner for a drink but she kept sticking around, and she was quite annoying to be honest."

"We can't ruin this by a kiss Nic." She looked down at their hands interlaced.

He lifted her chin up with his finger. "We won't do it if you don't want to, okay?" He reassured her.

Ava gave him a short nod, Nicholas gave her a short kiss on her forehead. A small blush creeping on both her cheeks. He let go of her hands and put is arms around her, Ava leaned against him in the hug. She didn't know if it was the alcohol or her feelings growing towards him, but Nicholas made her world turn.

"𝐇𝐄 𝐓𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐃 𝐓𝐎 𝐊𝐈𝐒𝐒 𝐘𝐎𝐔?" Elisa asked her friend. Ava nodded her head at the question. "And you rejected that man?"

"I told him why and he understood it." She replied. Ava looked at her friend who was in disbelief.

"Well, I think it's good that you didn't kiss him." Evelyn tried to change the mood their conversation was changing in. "It shows how much you appreciate getting your friend back."

"It's not like I didn't want to, but he's Nicholas, you know?" She sighed, Ava was done talking about what happened a week ago.

"Let's change topic, shall we?" Amelia suggested to their group. Connor and Miles were quiet the whole time, it was their girl talk and they didn't know what to say, or to say something that wouldn't fit the situation.

"Well, my birthday is coming up and I'm throwing a birthday party." Amelia told the group excitedly.

"The big twenty-five!" Connor yelled, the whole restaurant looking towards their table.

"Jesus fucking christ, Connor!" Miles laughed at his friend. They could never be serious together.

"But you guys can invite some other friends if you like." Amelia explained as the took the attention away from the boys.

"I'm so excited for your birthday girl." Ava hugged her friend from the side. A smile appeared on her friend's face.
