"Is that you're beautiful."

Hailee is a bit stunned by this. Reverend Henry looks around, also confused. Krystal looks on and is visibly upset. All the while, Y/N can't remember what he's supposed to say now.

"The song!" Mrs. Rosen whispers sharply. "The song!"

Y/N looks over at them and then quickly back at Hailee. He speaks gently.

"The dream...help me to remember."

Hailee looks at him nervously. He gazes back with soft eyes.

"Will you sing for me?" He asks.

He had absentmindedly been reaching out and touching her arm. Hailee brushed him away as someone at the piano begins to play Only Hope, a song she wrote for the play.

She starts to sing.

There's a song that's inside of my soul
It's the one that I've tried to write over and over again

Hailee looks at Y/N.

But you sing to me over and over and over again

Mrs. L/N watches the play, starting to get emotional. Hailee stands and strolls to the bar.

So I lay my head back down
And I lift my hands and pray

She puts her hands in a prayer position.

Y/N looks at her pensively.

I know now

She looks at Y/N as she sings the next part.

Hailee walks back over to Y/N and sits down, singing to him. His eyes stay fixated on her.

She rises and crosses in front of him.

So I lay my head back down
And I lift my hands and pray

She circles around him.

Hailee walks towards the audience. Y/N looks like he's about to cry tears of...amazement.

So I lay my head back down
And I lift my hands and pray

She looks back at Y/N and rejoins him. Sitting down, she finishes the song, vocalizing.

Y/N stares at her, feeling many feelings at this very moment. After a beat, he tentatively leans over to kiss her...to which she reciprocates.

When they part, he can tell she is surprised. It wasn't a part of the script, and he had just acted upon instinct. He looks back at her with a soft gaze that even made her feel some type of way. Still, she was disquieted and a bit bemused by the act.

Immediately, the audience cheers. Krystal looks on, shocked at what she had just seen. Then there is Reverend Henry, who seems agitated. The rest of the guests are pleased, though, as they continue to applaud.

Y/N licks his lips as he stares at Hailee, his mind racing at finally realizing what he had just done.

As the curtains close and the lights dim, the two continue to stare at each other, drowning out the sound of applause and cheers on the other side.
