"Oh um, I'm sorry. Didn't mean to make you awkward." You averted your eyes and went silent. You had hoped in the beginning that the serious atmosphere would become lighter but now it was even worse.

"Earlier...You said that I would beat them both if a match took place between the three of us. Do you really think that?" You looked at Aya, trying to understand her actions but nothing came to you.

"Yes!" You practically shouted. She flinched at the sudden outburst, "Do you think you have no chance just because Sae is playing internationally and Rin is considered a young prodigy?" You stopped.

"It's too damn bad that no one noticed you but that's only because the media is fucking misogynistic and they refuse to acknowledge female players no matter how good they are! If you're even thinking slightly of comparing yourselves to the two of them then I believe your stupid ass hell."

You breathed out, 'Fuck, I said too much.' That confident look deflated and you suddenly felt tiny in front of her, "I think that you deserve as much recognition as the two of them if not more. I know I haven't played against the two of them but I have played with you. I know what I'm talking about."

Aya didn't say anything, instead, she just stared at you. You didn't have the nerve to look at her, 'I hope she's not mad.' You stared at the ground as if you were about to burn it just with your eyes.

You saw a glimpse of her figure move, 'Is she about to hit me?' Your mind became clouded with fear and you started to shake slightly.

"You speak a lot." Aya's hand was on top of your head, and her slim fingers stroked your hair in a firm yet gentle way, "But thanks." She patted it with a soft touch. You stayed silent, "I don't. I just like your company."

You looked at her, her teal eyes now locked onto yours. There was a hint of sadness that was overshadowed quickly, "Is that so?" A small smirk played on her lips, "Then I enjoy yours too." Maybe this was the first time Aya showed human emotions but her comfort and warmth tugged on your heart.

"I don't have that amount of trust in myself that you have in me so I'll try and keep it." She slowly withdrew her hand, 'It might sound crazy but I want her to keep touching me.'

"You definitely have the older sister vibe surrounding you." You chuckled but the black-haired female didn't respond and continued to run, "I suggest you go back to sleep and not think about me." Your face went red from the way she worded it.

"Goodnight then, Aya." You fished your phone out of your pockets and checked the time, 'Seems right.' You turned around and started to walk through the door, 'As expected, her silent treatment is back.'

'Goodnight, [Name].'
