Author's Pov

Pune in an empty warehouse

A man in his early thirties was sitting on the couch puffing cigar, his intense dark eyes darted over the photo in his hand.

His goons were spreaded all around the warehouse, either playing cards, puffing cigarettes or attentively waiting for their boss's orders.

*Thud*

Everyone's attention shifted to the door of the warehouse which opened with a thud.

A man of similar age walked inside shooting angry glares to the one sitting on the couch but the latter one seem to be unaffected by it.

"You dickhead, how dare you return back here" The man shouted standing in front of the other one.

The latter one's eyes shifted from the photo to the one standing in front of him. He took a deep breath and sat comfortably spreading his arm on the head of the couch and keeping his right leg over the left.

He suddenly chuckled and said "Namaskarram Raman Sahab"

"Why are you here Naman" Raman asked him patiently this time.

Naman made a sulking face and fake cried "Maa will be so sad to know that big brother is not welcoming his little brother in his house"

"Get the hell out of here and don't you dare come in front of me and my family" Raman warned him.

Naman chuckled shaking his head side to side "Oh big brother, I am definitely not here to stay with you and your family, although you can invite me for lunch"

Raman squinted his eyebrows and asked "Then why are you here?"

"Planning, plotting, revenge" Naman said darkening his eyes.

Raman's eyes widened at this information but he couldn't do anything about this.

He took one look at his brother and left from there.

Naman again sat on the couch and again looked at the photo in his hand.
"Not again darling, this time either me or no one"

Delhi
It's been one week to Avantika's and Prithvi's engagement. Karan and Yashaswi left for Jaisalmer last week and within two days Sisodia's were also leaving for Udaipur.

Today Avantika along with her mother were going to visit Lord Shiva Temple.

Avantika was in her room getting ready in a white anarkali with flower pattern on it.

She wore her earrings, braided her hairs nicely and applied kohl and lip tint.

She gave herself a final check and complimented herself "Traditional makes me look beautiful"

She kept the dupatta around her neck, took some amount from her purse and kept inside her phone cover and left the room.

In the hall she saw her mother ready to go while the gents were sitting munching biscuits with tea.

They bid them bye and left.

On the other side, Prithvi being a devotee of Lord Shiva was ready to go to temple with ladies of his family for Shiva Abhishek but in his official outfit.

He was standing at the door waiting for others by the time Eklavya brought his car.

He came out and handed the keys to Prithvi.

"Bring the other car to the temple" Prithvi ordered to which Eklavya nodded accepting.

"Aapki Maa Sa nhi aayi ab tk" He heard voice of his grandmother.
(Your mother didn't come yet)

He turned and touched her feet "Good morning Dadi Sa"

She blessed him with long and fruitful life and by that time his Maa Sa and Kaki Sa also came.

He first opened the passenger door and helped his grandmother to sit and then he opened the back door to let his mothers sit.

When the three of them settled properly, he sat on the driving seat and drove away with 3 cars following them.

Avantika's Pov
I parked the car a little bit away from the temple and we both stepped down and moved forward.

We climbed the stairs but suddenly I felt a wave of wind, was it me or actually there was a different effect in the air, it suddenly felt so soothing.

We reached the the top and removed our slippers at a side. I placed dupatta over my head and filled water to pour on shivalinga.

As I was filling my bucket, I felt someone beside me, my eyes fell on his hand where the same ring was shining.

I widened my eyes and looked at the face and my eyes widened more with my mouth wide open.

"Miss, your bucket" He said turning off my tap and then looked at me.

But as he looked into my eyes, I relaxed as if his eyes conveyed me to relax.

He looked deep into my eyes as if trying to know all of my secrets. I broke the eye contact and avoided his eyes while clearing my throat.

He repeated my actions and it made me more embarrassed.

"Um...H-hi" He said forwarding his hands.

I looked at his hands and then at him confusingly.

Who shakes hand with fiance.

May be he understood and pulled his hand back wit jerk and scratched the back of his neck.

I smiled at his reaction and muttered "Hello"

He looked back at me and we both chuckled at this sudden encounter.

"You also visit temple" I asked him.

Wow!!What an intelligent question to ask a person who visited temple.

"I am devotee of Lord Shiva so I perform Shiva Abhishek every Monday" He answered.

I made an O expression and nodded and again silence engulfed us.

"You visit temple daily" He asked me.

I replied "No, but whenever I feel so or whenever Bdi mummy wants"

He hummed and nodded "So aunty is here"

I nodded and suddenly remembered about the bucket and I suggested "I think we should head back"

He agreed and because of overflowing of water, the bucket became a bit heavy.

As I grabbed the handle to pick it up, I found his hand beside mine on the handle. I looked up at him while he said "This is heavy, you use mine while I'll use this"

I nodded and took the other bucket though he suggested to let him pick both but I didn't want him to.

As we reached the front of the temple together, I saw Bdi mummy with Rani Sa, Kaki Sa and Dadi Sa.

I stopped my steps and kept the bucket on the floor. He turned to look at me while I made myself presentable.

"Traditional makes you look more beautiful"

I halted my actions as I heard him.I looked at him and saw him looking at me with a affectionate smile and adoring eyes which shyed me.

I settled my dupatta back on the head and moved from there.

"Avantika bete, kaisi h aap" Dadi Sa asked smiling widely and taking steps towards me.
(Avantika child, how are you)

I smiled at her and moves some steps forward and she quickly hugged me which I gave back.

"I am fine Dadi Sa, how are you?" I asked her.

She pulled back from hug and replied "I am fine child"

Then I met his mother and his Kaaki Sa while he touched feet of Bdi Mummy who blessed him.

Then we all went inside the temple and offered our prayers. He did Shiva Abhishek and we all stood there joining our hands.

He is a theist just like me....I loved how devotionally he performed everything.

Everything was good but I couldn't understand one thing.

Shouldn't he have worn something traditional rather than tuxedo

I wondered how will he look in traditional though I saw him in jodhpuri in engagement and in Yash's wedding but how would he look in a simple kurta.

"Avanti, go and distribute Prasad"

I came out of my thoughts when Bdi mummy spoke.

I nodded and took the Prasad box from her and before I could go, I heard Rani Sa's voice "Prithvi, aap bhi jaiye or Prasad bant kr aaiye"
(Prithvi, you also go and distribute Prasad)

I exhaled a deep breath because I knew they wanted us to go together.

I took slow steps forward and he joined me taking big steps.

As we reached the other side of temple, little kids ran towards me.

Prithvi's Pov
'Didi'
I heard screams of little children who got excited after seeing her. I saw a huge and excited smile on her face too which made me smile.

They all hugged her altogether pushing me aside.

'Meri hi fiance se door kr rhe h mujhe'
(Separating me from my own fiance)

I thought as I saw them.

"Okay..okay" She spoke "Stand quietly in a line, come on"

They all agreed and stood in a perfect queue.

She sat on her knees and looked at me. She signalled me to sit down.

Wait!! What....I should also sit down

I cleared my thought and sat beside her. Turn by turn she gave everyone Prasad and they all kept their hand on her head as if blessing her.

When she was done, finally, in the end, everyone noticed me.

She cleared her throat and said "Kids, again stand in a line and take Prasad from him too"

They all followed her words and stood in a queue once again. I don't know why but I smiled at the thought of her being a mother.

I shrugged my inappropriate thoughts and focused on the Prasad distribution.

I gave each one of them Prasad but they didn't kept their hands on head as they did to her but timidly thanked me.

After they all were done, I stood up but couldn't stop myself from asking "Why didn't you all kept your hands on my head"

Everyone including Avantika looked at me shocked.

"Are you sure" She asked me with doubtful eyes.

I nodded and muttered "I am"

She doubtfully said "No I mean, not everyone like if they do so, they bless me doing so"

I walked towards her and asked "Then why can't I have that blessing"

She looked into my eyes as if searching for something and I looked into hers searching for what I tried to search before.

Her pain

She broke the gaze and averted it saying "You can if you wish so"

I slightly smiled and sat on my knees again "Please give your blessings to me too as I am going to start a new journey with someone" I said the last line looking at her who too looked at me.

"Oh no" We heard a cute little voice and we looked at her "We both were discussing of getting you married with didi but you are already married"

She made a sad face and was still looking cute. I pulled that little girl towards me and said "Then bless me that I marry your didi"

I could see the shocked face of Avantika from my side eye.

"But then what about your wife, she will be mad at me" The girl cutely said.

I chuckled at her and replied "I am not married yet but yes going to marry soon...to your didi"

Every child's face turned from happy to sad to excited and they all jumped happily making both of us smile.

"Alright kids, We'll go now" Avantika said and they bid bye to us.

There was a constant smile on her face while we were returning back.

"You look happy after meeting them even they were excited meeting you" I exclaimed.

She first looked at me and then back at front "My sister used to practice classical dance here with her friends and they all used to watch her practicing" Her eyes had glint of tears.

Rest of the time we just silently walked while I glanced at her timely and I knew that she knew I was looking at her...Her blush was telling me.

The white suit, the kohl filled eyes, the natural glow, she is too perfect to be real.

We reached towards the ladies who all were sitting on the temple stairs talking.

"Prithvi click a picture of all of us" Kaaki Sa said as we reached near them.

They all stood together and pulled Avantika too who was surprised by this sudden pull.

Sweepers were cleaning the floor there with water so I asked them "You all should stand this side, there they are cleaning"

They once looked at them Cleaning, as a human nature, and stood different side.

I clicked their picture and I thought they would ask me too to come in the picture but they didn't and started moving downstairs.

May be Avantika understood my picture thought as she was also amused when everyone started moving.

Dadi Sa took Avantika with her leaving me behind.

Seems like she likes her to be granddaughter in law a lot.

When we reached downstairs, everyone bid bye to each other.

I could guess that Avantika was quite amused by the no. of bodyguards present there.

Dadi Sa suddenly asked them "Why don't you join us for lunch tomorrow as we are leaving day after tomorrrow"

I looked at Avantika's face which turned a bit shocked by this news and instantly turned towards me.

Oh so she didn't like me going.

I smirked knowing and she averted her eyes.

"Umm...I will discuss with everyone and let you know" Aunty hesitantly said.

"What is there to ask others, we all would like this family lunch before leaving" Dadi Sa insisted.

And when Dadi sa insists nobody can deny and same happened here, they agreed for lunch.

"Seema ji, how are you both going...Prithvi can drop you" Maa Sa suggested.

Oh yes!! I am free.....I will drop her I mean them.

"No No..there's no Need, we are by our car" Aunty replied and I looked at Avantika who also nodded confirming.

Shitt!!!

"Mummy, you wait here and I'll get the car" She said and giving a glance at me she walked towards her car.

My eyes followed her but settled above her.

Oh No!!

I quickly ran towards her at fast pace and held her wrist to pull her back towards me.

*Splash* The voice, I heard but I ignored it and focused here.

She landed on my chest and due to high force and my speed, I disbalanced and my back pressed against the wall of the stairs.

'Prithvi'
'Avanti'

I looked at her who had her eyes tightly closed, her hands tightly gripping my shoulder while my hands tightly holding her waist. Her head low due to fear and I could feel her hot breath on my chest.

"Kunwar Sa, are you fine" I heard Eklavya's voice who stood there with his gun out.

What if she gets scared of the gun.

I thought and signalled him to keep the gun inside.

When he did, I removed my hands from her waist and kept them on her shoulder pulling back.

"Hey relax" I muttered trying to calm her.

She took one deep breath and exhaled, she calmed, she opened her eyes and our eyes met again.

"Prithvi,Avantika, are you fine?" I heard Maa Sa's voice.

We both looked at them and then at us.

She quickly pulled back while I straightened too.

Ouch!! My back hurts a bit.

I looked above at the temple and saw a sweeper apologetically looking down.

"Water was going to fall upon you and as soon as I noticed and I did that" I told her.

Avantika was still a bit perplexed by what happened and when I told her the reason she looked above and slightly shook her head to come over it.

"Avantika, are you fine" Aunty asked her getting tensed.

Avantika held her hand and nodded while saying "I am fine....I'll get the car"

"Wait"

I stopped her as she started going. She turned towards me confused why I stopped her.

I took one step ahead and told her "Eklavya will get your car here, you can give him the keys"

She hesitated first but finally gave in.

By the time Eklavya came back, we stood there behind the ladies.

"Thank you" I heard her saying.

I looked at her and shook my head "There's no need, you are my fiance and it's my duty to save you whenever needed"

She gave me a small smile and look in the direction, her car was coming from.

Eklavya stepped out and she moved towards her car.

"Thank you" She muttered towards Eklavya.

Obsessed with Thank you

I thought and felt proud when Eklavya said "Please don't make me feel so low mam by saying thank you for my duty"

He said keeping her head low out of respect for the to be queen and took a step back and I knew what was about to come.

"Eklavya, open the door of passenger side" I ordered him and turned towards aunty "Please be seated aunty"

She smiled and came towards me and kept her palm on my cheeks "Call me anything but aunty"

I nodded and she sat on the passenger seat.

Avantika took blessings from Maa Sa, Kaaki Sa and Daadi Sa who once again reminded her about tomorrow's lunch.

They all left with Eklavya as I asked him to do so.

Avantika was about to open her car door but I quickly held the handle before her.

She looked at me with thinned eyebrows and I signalled her with my eyes to step aside.

She did and I opened the door for her. She looked at me with some shyness and muttered 'Bye' before settling in the car.

She once again looked at me with a smile which I returned back and drove away.

I looked at her car and shook my head at myself. I sat in my car on the back seat with Eklavya on the passenger seat.

I could see him smiling without any reason so I finally asked him "Why are you smiling, I've never seen you smiling like this before"

He was startled by my question first but regained his composure and replied "Sir you are also smiling a lot lately and the way you behave with mam is totally out of your character"

Am I that obvious!!
