"Shouldn't you go after her ? The princess ran out."
"She did ?" Elizabeth questioned the pig, worried about you. He nodded and looked at Meliodas who started walking away.
"Are you gonna comfort her ?"
"I've got to pee."
"What a slacked of a boss we have." The older princess sighed.
"Try living with him for ten years." Hawk shook his head. "Responsibility for this place lies on my shoulder roasts."
You were sitting with your knees buried under your chin, looking at the moon, and feeling the light breeze on your face. You heard footsteps on your left so you turned your stare to look who was coming. When you saw it was Meliodas, you turned back to the sky.
"Sir Meliodas."
"Hey" He answered with his hands in his pockets.
"I'm sorry, I know I'm still supposed to work. It's just that watching Mead, and the villagers, it brought up memories of my family."
"Oh ?" He started roaming around, looking for something. "Around here maybe ?"
"I shouldn't, really. No is not the time to wallow in homesickness."
"A little more to the left ?"
"There are so many people that ere still suffering under the oppression of the Holy Knights. But all their princess seems to know is to be weak, so I guess their chances look bleak. Maybe if Ellie had looked for the Seven Deadly Sins alone, she'd have found all seven of you by now... and the kingdom would be safe. Maybe, I'm not meant for fighting, and helping people, maybe, there isn't really anything I'm meant to accomplish." You couldn't see his face, or the way it scrunched up when he heard you insult yourself.
"Well, now that you mention it..."
"What is it ?" Your sister asked you.
"Earlier, Mead said something about a forest even Holy Knights avoided, the "Forest of White Dreams", he called it."
"That's amazing !"
"Then we have our new destination. But it's not going to be a hideout." He looked at you with glimmering eyes. "We're gonna do what we're meant to do."
"You don't think..." You walked closer to him, and stood straighter when he nodded.
"Yeah. I'm ready to bet one of us lives there. Let's go, off to find another Sin !"
"Right !"
Kilometers away, Forest of White Dreams.
Between dead trees, and deep white fog, laid a sleeping young woman. She wore her brown hair in two pigtails and adorned an orange bodysuit, along with two blue canons on her wrists. But most importantly, on her thigh could be seen the symbol of a beast. A deep red serpent.
