ground under you shook before completely crumbling down. You tried to reach your sister to assure she was safe, but you were sent falling down.
"Oh give me a break !" Hawk could be heard yelling over the sound of rocks falling.
You felt the same strong arms as before grab you by the waist, and you noticed from the corner of you eyes Elizabeth, as well as Hawk who was holding the young knight that had chased you earlier in his mouth.
The bar owner landed on the ground, let down everyone but you, he instead tightened his grip on you, staring fiercely at the older knight now in front of him.

"You over there ! How dare you survive without my say so ! I shall not revise my death tally conclusion !" Your eyes were shut closed, but you could make out a grave voice, which didn't seem like it wanted to save you.
"Nobody even asked you two anyway !"
"Hey, you awake ?" You slowly opened your eyes, and blushed as you faced the blond's face so close, he also had a slight pink hue on his face, but quickly dismissed it when you answered with a meek yes. "When I signal it to you, you grab your sister and run, understand ?" He gently let you down, and looked at your sister, determined.
"Yeah, I got it." She stepped closer to you and grabbed your right hand, squeezing it tightly in hers.
"Now, now, which one of you looks most probable to be member of the Seven Deadly Sins ? None of them resemble the posters..." You saw his eyes lighting up when they landed on you, and took a step back, almost stepping on your sister's feet. "Ha ha ! It seems today is my lucky day ! The crystals on that earring, as well as the one on that necklace, they're of the royal family ! Conclusion ; you are Princesses Elizabeth and ___ !" The blond man turned to you, surprised.

"Hold on ? You're princesses ?!"
"Wait a second, are you really Princesses Elizabeth and ___ ? You're the third and fourth of the royal family !"
"A decree has been issued from the capital to determine your whereabouts. The orders are to capture both of you alive, and in healthy condition. But if you happened to loose your life in a tragic accident..." Just as he was about to go into more details about what might happen to you, your savior was pointing to the forest and yelling.
"Go ! Now, go !"
"Come on, we can't afford to give up yet !" You ran, loosing your sister's hand, but you weren't worried because you knew she was strong and was right in front of you.

"Conclusion ; "accidental" death !" You felt a strong gush of wind slamming, and thus cutting the trees behind you, but before you could turn around, you were knocked to the ground, with a hand refraining your head from hitting the grass. Your head was facing to you left, and when you opened your eyes, you saw Elizabeth standing over Hawk, with worry etched all over her face.

"Hey there." You turned your head to face the blond, who had now sat up. "Yo, Hawk, Elizabeth, you okay ?"
"Seriously ? I'm shaved pork on a skillet !" He ran away wailing. "Mama ! Mama !"
"A pig ? No matter." You stared at your sister one last time before standing to your feet, and walking towards the knight.

"___, what are you doing ?" Elizabeth sat up straighter, reaching for your hand.
"There's no escape..."
"Woah, hang on... you just said you couldn't afford to be caught !"
"Perhaps, if I surrender, it'll distract him enough for you and Ellie to run. He'll take me back with him and all three of you will be spared." Even if you were staring right at him, you didn't see the knight pull his sword out once more and aiming at you. If it wasn't for the blond man grabbing you and pulling you down, you'd have been cut in half. "Please ! Go away while you still can ! Take Ellie far from here, she'll make it even without me !"
"I don't think he plans on letting any of us get away. At least not alive."
"Why ? We were so happy when we met you. We set out to search for the Seven Deadly Sins all on our own ! It was so hard travelling by ourselves, and I didn't want to slow my sister down ! It was tiring and I was so scared, walking around in that rusty armor so that nobody could recognize us ! But there was nobody to turn for help to ! Now, you show such kindness to me, someone you have never seen before in your life ! And I don't want to see you hurt ! That's why I don't want to involve you with our problems anymore, not when neither of us even know your name !"

"Meliodas. If you really insist on knowing."
Your eyes widen, but Elizabeth's just soften, smiling at the scene. Your tears had stopped flowing and weren't falling onto the green grass anymore. Your mind goes back to the poster you had seen only a few minutes earlier, with the man's picture and name.
"I don't believe it ! I-It can't be ! You-you're just a-" A few meters behind, Alioni gains back consciousness and gets back on his feet in a hurry, asking his comrades where the blond man went.

"Just take it easy, Sir Twigo is taking care of it."
"You idiots ! We can't dare to get him angry at us ! The whole kingdom will crumble ! When he saved me from that cliff... that's when I saw it. He's the real thing, the most dangerous one of them. All the symbols. Right there, on his shoulders, it's right there !" Alioni sounded like a mad man as he pointed to the blond's shoulder. But to you, it all started making sense.

"The symbol on your arm... it's a beast. No. A dragon..." The tattooed man stands up and walks towards Sir Twigo, who strikes a powerful attack at him, only for his attack to be reflected back at him.
"How is that possible ! I'm certain my blade struck him, yet I'm the one who seemed to have taken the force of the blow ? How could that happen... and what is that in your hand ? A broken blade ?"

"Meliodas, is it really you ?" You weren't even sure he could hear you, but you still couldn't believe you had found a member of the Seven Deadly Sins, not only that, their captain.
"Wait a second. That face, now it starts to look familiar ! But you are truly who I believe you are, how could you look identical to how you did back then."
"Time's up. You figured it out yet ?" Meliodas gets into his fighting stance, clutching his broken sword in his hand.
"No, it can't be !" Twigo tries to strike him with the same attack as earlier. "How can you still dare to exist !"
"Full Counter." His attack turns out to have been useless, as once more, it is only sent back at him, only stronger.
"Conclusion ; this incomprehensible, extraordinary power ! It's the one of the legend !"
"The Seven Deadly Sins... the Dragon Sin, Meliodas !"

"Well, I guess you've found your first sin. But listen. As far as the six others go, I've got business to discuss with them. So I've started looking for them in my own, I had the idea of using the tavern to gather information but if I had two pretty girls to pull in a larger crowd, I bet we'll have info flying right at us. So how about it, coming with us ?" You and Elizabeth turned to face each other, smiling brightly. You both nodded your heads, with tears in your eyes.
"Yes !" Soon enough, you heard your pig friend calling your names, and when you turned around he was accompanied by a way larger green pig, carrying the tavern on its back.
"Way to go, Hawk's mom !"
"Dude ! I'm the one that brought her !"
"Then... let's head out for the next town ! Alright, Hawk's mom, up to you now !"

Was our meeting the work of chance, or fate ? And what awaited us, was it despair, or hope ? That was how the adventure of Sir Meliodas, Elizabeth and me began, as we embarked on our quest to find the Seven Deadly Sins.

60 km East of Caine Town, Fort Solgres.

Sir Twigo was on his knees in a large room. Walking into said room, a young man with pink hair and intense icy blue eyes mutters under his breath.
"The Seven Deadly Sins..." He walks closer to the window, and looks at the night sky.
"This time I hope it's the real one... Ten longs years, I've waited for this moment, so that I can bring about their destruction."
