Hearing the plans about saving Asia triggered Rias into slapping both boys, telling them how crazy it is to wager a battle against a church. That Issei should stay back since he's part of Rias' peerage. Ethan on the other hand...held back the rising flames inside of him. He needed something to extinguish the flames before it can burn down everything.

"Rias. Who cares about this whole bullshit 'must listen to me, since I'm your ruler', when there's an outsider in need of saving. Does one being Sacrifice not matter to you?" Ethan persuaded Rias into storming the castle "is a devil more important than a human?"

"I understand if she's someone who holds dearing to you. Yet I can't do that. I swore to protect my peerage from harms way. She is the churches problem. Not mine." Rias responded "If you can't follow simple rules i put out, then i must cast you out."

Having traded dozens of exchanges in a blink of an eye, the two fighters backed away from each other to catch their breath. Elms looked at Raynare with narrowed eyes...
