It takes place in a brutalist dystopian world, and some of the major themes of my story are the ideas of resistance and oppression. I also wanted to explore strong platonic friendships, and was interested in creating a found-family dynamic. My main character is insular and dark, so as well as looking at friendship, I also spend a lot of time discussing solitude.This is intended to be a dark story, and while I don't go crazy with gore, there is a lot of violence and implied violence. There are also themes of self-destruction and suicide, so TW on those. I try to deal with these subjects in a sensitive way, and have tried to educate myself so as to be able to deal with them in a way that helps people understand them, and doesnt hurt the people who have experienced these things. If you can see any room for improvement in these areas, please let me know.If you are seeking romantic storylines, this story may not satisfy your needs. I'm not a romantic person, and while this story isn't witithout its loving and affectionate moments, I'm just not good at the cute stuff, so you're not going to find that here. Please let me know your opinions, both positive and negative, as I've never let anyone read my writing before and really want to improve.I hope you enjoy my story!โฆ
