Kennedy P. Peters never wanted to move to Kildare Island. The quaint island town with its endless beaches and tightly-knit community felt like an alien world compared to the life he'd known in Germany. After losing his mother just months ago, Kennedy's grief made the adjustment even harder. His father believed returning to his late wife's hometown would give them a fresh start, but for Kennedy, it felt like a cruel reminder of what he'd lost. His sister, Joline, embraced the change, quickly making friends, but Kennedy remained a closed-off, introverted boy, clinging to the safety of solitude.
