THE DEVIL'S THING
He was the nightmare, the nightmare she had tried so hard to escape from. She always believed that if she persevered, she could slip away from his icy clutch,but it was never meant to be; just a pipe dream from the start.Because, he owned her. She had foolishly sold herself to him in exchange for freedom, but unknowingly bound herself to a fate doomed to hell, with the devil at her side.In his eyes, she was a 'thing'. A 'thing' which he used to carry out his dirty work; an 'item' he could have unlimited access to when he needed to relieve himself. She was nothing more than that thing, that he owned and could use as he pleased. ******************She gritted her teeth, her anger and hatred boiling over "Go to hell, Viper. I hate you so much. I despise you with every inch of my being..." She yelled, her voice echoing through the empty streets. But his response, was a chilling chuckle. One that sent shivers down her spine and goosebumps round her body. She took a deep breath, suppressing the rising fear in her body, replacing it with feigned determination. Finally she found the courage to meet his cold gaze. Her body trembled with fear as she raised her arm to strike him, but he caught it. Making his chuckle spiral into a maniac laugh. With his grip tightening each passing second."let me make this clear, you are a thing, an item, a machine that I bought with my money, so, in the end you have no right to feel, not without my permission..." She firmly gritted her teeth determined not to let him witness her breakdown. His smile widened stretching from ear to ear when he noticed."....and besides, it's not about the love or the hate, no one cares about that..." as he spoke, his smile turned sinister, making him look particularly malicious and terrifying."it's about ownership." As he completed his sentence, the sound of bones being shattered and the painful cry of a broken woman, echoed through the streets.…
