Marley Ortiz packs her bags (emotional and otherwise) and escapes to Avery, a small middle-of-nowhere town where the only people she knows are a pair of old family friends who offer to let her stay with them while she figures out where to go next. When she arrives, she quickly realizes how challenging it'll be to readjust to this new environment, and that a person's past is not as easy to let go as she hopes.
