Standing Tall

I wrote this story a few years ago, as I came out as bi to myself and my family. There are errors here and there--and I will fix them!--but I hope you can look past those minor details to the story. :) Enjoy!

Tracy Anderson has known since high school that he was gay. But he had always held that part of himself close, never letting others know, as he is afraid of their reactions. His best friend, and lover, Sam McConner, shows Tracy that love is stronger than fear, that hate fails in the face of compassion. But life is not always happy. Sam faces his own demons as he moves with Tracy along this journey, and discovers a hidden strength he didn't know he had. "Standing Tall" is a story of love and hate, of fear and compassion. What is love? What is fear? Why do we hate? "Standing Tall" attempts to answer these questions, in a story too rich in detail to miss.
